I think its time to flash my phone just a few questions i have

I've had my phone for over a month now running stock 4.0.2. I think I'm ready to flash my phone using the toolkit. Before I start, I have a couple questions.
1. Can I always go back to stock?
2. Should I even flash it? Stock ICS is pretty good don't you think?
3. Last question, I know its a bit opinion base, I'm looking for a rom thats really fast, good battery life, and stable. Any suggestions would be a good first rom for a newbie?

1) yes
2) custom roms give you more tweaks and performance
3) AOKP has the most functionality and TONS of options, but i'd prolly start with gummynex.

I have some questions for you.
Do you know how to get back to stock?
Do you know what to do if you encounter a bootloop?
Do you have fastboot and ADB on your computer?
If you answer NO to any of those questions, then my answer is to stick with stock ICS.

1. I think so, my phone kept rebooting. I put the stock google in the toolkit and flash it to stock. so if its the same as that then yes i can go from custom rom to stock ics
2. I think I just answer that.

you might also try Bugless Beast. it's fairly close to stock, but i know the dev does good work.

Simple ROM for Galaxy Y

Hello,
I am looking for a rom similar to the stock rom.
I've looked at all the roms such as Creed etc and they're not really to my taste as I like to be very simple.
If you could point me in the direction of one it would be highly appreciated.

well...you can modify your own stock rom. what kind of rom do you like?

if you like, you can also use ---> kill3d's theme with it

I Have tried several roms and i always end up looking for something simpler. I'm gonna try hybrid rom as well. I'm also loking for basically a stock rom with optimizations.

I will say i never have tried this ROM. I built it for a user and I only assumed it worked cause he never came back complaining lol

LOL. Ive always been a fan of the customization. So its worth it to me. Im not and android pro but i know how to get things working after a while of tinkering. If i have trouble do you feel like helping?

I'm using Carbon Rom, I followed exactly the instructions and i still have problems with the camera and with spotify
does anybody can help me? I want kitkat but Jelly Bean works better

There is no such thing called "best ROM". just head over to the dev sections, try a few and then decide for yourself.

Lp stock rom?

Im hoping someone can give me tips in the right direction. Now that Im on official ota, Im looking for a stock lp custom rom. Before note 4 I loved aosp. But, I dont like losing spen options ect. I have not flashed a 5.0.x rom on official ota. As far as I know there is NOT a stock 5.0.x rom yet. Am I correct?
