Hi I just got my Evo 4G and I am looking for the best accessories that work well with each other. I am looking for the following:
Screen Protector: cant distort colors and it shouldn't make my swipes and stuff terrible and it must protect against minor scratches. Note that i care about the screen protector but I don't want the glass exposed.
Case: Looking for a hard case that doesn't add much bulk and provides protection against everyday scuffs and minor drops.
Car Dock: Looking for a car dock that will hold my Evo while in a Hard case and still be usable. I would like it to recharge the evo as well. Most car docks don't work in my car due to the dashboard shape [see attached picture] so I am interested in vent options and not window adhesives (i cant bear my baby being suspended midair lol)
Better USB Charger: I want one that charge faster (wall charger) and have longer cords and maybe a few more cords.that i can keep one at work and one at home and in the car.
Any ideas?
Here's a good place for cables: http://www.amazon.com/BlackBerry-Cable-Micro-1-0m-Black/dp/B001QATRCA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1288623582&sr=8-1
as for charging, you're not going to find anything better then the stock A/C adapter.
screen protectors, i don't use them and my screen is doing just fine.
car docks: i keep my phone in it's holster cause i drive while in the car. just sayin'
good luck mate! i hope you find everything you're looking for
Well I am really looking for a screen protector ( i cant stand grease on my screen lol) and a car dock for GPS/Navigation purposes. But thank you for your response. I am checking out the amazon link now.

I use cheap screen protectors. I can get the vinyl ones on discount and choose not to because I don't like the way they feel. The cheap ones that use static cling to stick to my screen work great and don't get scratched through. I have scratches on the protector, but not the screen. Make sure they have a cutout for the camera if you don't use the ones that are linked.
My otterbox commuter isn't too bulky, but if you want minor bulk go with the new Incipio case. I think it just started shipping.
Go with the Kensington Iphone mount. It comes with a dash mount and a windshield mount. It works with the Evo in an otterbox, so it will def work with any hard case you may get that is smaller. I got this based on feedback from a member here and they couldn't have been more correct. It will not charge the phone, but if you are using the vent mount get you a cheap car charger.
USB Cords are all the same charge wise, it is a limitation of the USB port, not the cable. but if you want a long one go here.
you asked for the best...i don't have the best, but it works pretty well...
i have the seidio rugged case, i got it from amazon for $40 for the hard case, rubber case to go over that, holster and the screen protector.
seidio's screen protector is pretty good in my opinion. i'm not "screen protector connoisseur" by any means but it seems to hold up well while having a very glassy feel. as long as my hands arent covered in some sort of cooking or forehead grease, it stays relatively clean. I'm happy with the screen protector.
the seidio hard is ok. i like it overall but mine has developed a crack ( i have dropped it a couple times) and i will be seeing if i can get some sort of replacement. overall, it didn't add to much bulk and i liked the feel. i also liked how it goes on the phone and feel it provides good protection. i use this case by it self most of the time. i use the rugged part of it when i go off-road or working outside...really anytime that being in my pocket wouldnt be a good idea.
i use the nuvi 205 car mount for my evo. just takes a couple of minutes over a stove with a pair of pliers to form it to fit the evo with case. i fitted to my rugged case and when i use just the hard case, i use a piece a memory foam to hold it in place. it works really well and i use it while i go off-road. if it getting really bumpy, it falls out eventually but while on road it holds very nicely using either case.
i got the vent one so that it could have moving air going over the phone cause i did notice if i had my 1A car charger going and running satnav and other track recording apps plus music it got pretty warm (+the Arizona sun) and would stop charging.
like i said, not the best but thought it might be worth telling my experience.
cheers

USB cable there (monoprice) was for $2.81, where i got my cable on ebay for $1.85.
What I have bought on ebay for my evo:
Extended battery 3500mAh for $9.99
Desktop slim cradle for $12.26
Amazon
Seidio spring holster $22
Ebay and Amazon should be on your list to find accessories.
Here's what I use:
Seidio Innocaseâ„¢ II Surface Combo: The Innocase II Surface fits the Evo like a coat of paint and adds almost no bulk. People are frequently surprised to learn that I even have a case on my phone. Despite that, it protects the phone remarkably well. I work in the industrial maintenance trades and I'm not easy on my phones, but my Hero looked like new after a year in an Innocase Surface (after I removed the case) so I'm using the same thing on my Evo.
Seidio Ultimate Screen Guard - Crystal Clear: I actually use the Boxwave ClearTouchâ„¢ Anti-Glare screen protector on my phone but a lot of people don't like the matte finish and the Seidio Ultimate is a great choice if you like a crystal clear protector. Either one is durable and easy to apply, and I didn't detect any reduction in touch sensitivity for either one.
Seidio Desktop Charging Cradle: The perfect desktop cradle as far as I'm concerned. Use it with the wall wart which came with your Evo and it will charge at the maximum rate that the Evo will allow. Use it connected to a USB port on your computer and it will sync, but it will only charge at a reduced rate because a USB port can't deliver the power that a wall wart can. I keep my dock connected to the wall wart and use another cable (which I bought from monoprice.com) when I want to sync.
It may sound like I'm a Seidio dealer, but I'm not. They just make top quality stuff and I'm the kind of guy who appreciates that and sticks with what works. If you'd like some further reading which includes some before & after photos of my Hero and the Seidio Innocase II I used on it, you can visit the thread in Android Forums by CLICKING HERE. If you want to cut right to the chase you can read the first and last post in that thread, but there's some good stuff in between too.

Just purchased this... I'll post a review upon receipt. I was going to purchase the ArmorSuit screen cover and rooCase Executive, but thought I'd give this bundle a shot... surely once of the cases will pass The accessories are a nice bonus, especially car adapter & retractable cable.

What a great deal. I look forward to your review. I agree even if the cases suck you get some great accessories.
I already had a post on this. I think I was the first to recieve one. I paid 9.99. I have some pics and was very impressed with the silicone and you case. Although the flu was supposed to be black and the clear silicone. They were the opposite. All the holes were cut and lined up very well. All accesories were 2100ma.
Too many pics to post so here's an album.

Whoa, did you get this same package that's linked to Amazon for only $9.99? If so, where? $10 is worth it even if it's to have an extra USB cord/charger for the office. I hate carrying my one proprietary cable around to make sure I have enough juice wherever I go.

Definitely looking forward to your review. This looks to be worth it for $35 although the leather case looks pretty ghetto and I bet the quality of the chargers, cables will be sub-par.
What the heck is the fishbone for???

Yes I did get this same one. I caught it the first morning they posted it. A few days later amazon picked it up for $19.99. Now it's at $35.99. The two skin type cases fit perfect with the slimmest profile. The leather case as stated in my post is backup purpose type. The fishbone is for rolling up your headphones where they don't get tangled up. Shipping was two days and they shipped the same day I ordered it.
I got this when it was $9.99. I wish I'd bought more than one!
I had originally purchased the flip case at Best Buy when I bought the Tab for $49. I like the flip case in this bundle deal much better!
Funny as it may seem I've grown accustomed to using the stylus. I like it a lot.
The two power supplies included, car and wall, are both 2100ma so they're strong enough to charge the Tab.
The two snap on cases, a black gel-like one and a hard plastic clear one, fit perfectly. In fact, the clear one fits so good it's hard to get off.
The ear buds included are smaller than normal. I normally hate ear buds but these fit my ear canal much better and are really comfortable.
I'm amazed at all the stuff that I got for $9.99. This is better than a Woot Bag of Crap!
Even at $35 it's an excellent deal. Go for it.
Quick update to what has already been reviewed:
1) Silicone cases are great, both black (favorite) and white
2) Portfolio case is great, especially if you carry business cards
Pretty much everything else is junk The car charger doesn't actually charge the TAB. The retractable plug would be awesome if it charged from a computer USB or car outlet, but it doesn't. The fishbone was a neat idea, but it actually kinks up your headphone cord (and is a PAIN to unravel).
My screen cover didn't align with my Galaxy - the 'hole' was offset to the camera (it aligns with the light sensor - weird).
The only other thing I used was the aux cable - it is good for plugging the TAB into my home stereo system.
For the three cases, its still a good deal - but don't get your hopes up
Ghost
And, now it's up to $50. Not worth it at that price.
So I went in for one of these..
Initial impressions:
The 3 cases.. Eh.. the leather book case makes the tab SUBSTANTIALLY heavier.. However, since I'm using a netbook bag to carry everything around, this doesn't bother me. Its sturdy, and as long as I have a level surface, I can stand it up.. The rubberized covers fit nice, and I've not decided which I'm going to stick with (using the bookcover for now)..
The stylus works
The car charger WORKS..
The screen protector: Someone had mentioned fitment issues, but I had none of that.. All the holes lined up where they should, on the cases and the protector itself.
The extra 30-pin non-retractable cable is basically a duplicate of the stocker.. works for power charge in the car at least, I've not tried a data connection..
I've not tried the retractable one for anything, nor the AC adapter. Total cost was $57, and while not cheap, the cases and the working car adapter helps me justify the cost.. the rest is gravy.
So I'm definitely going to purchase a case for my S3 as it tends to be a bit slippery at times and I'm terrified of shattering the screen. However, I also plan to get a car dock and these 2 decisions are directly related to each other (for me anyways) so I'm just looking for opinions or advice from anyone else in a similar situation. Basically, I have narrowed it down to two different options for me:
1- Get a thinner/TPU style case and use the Infuse Car Dock.
I like the idea of using a custom car dock as it looks neater, in my opinion, though they wont work with a case so I would need to get a thinner case that can easily and repeatedly be removed and put back on several times a day, when I'm placing it in the car dock, without losing it's form or grip on the phone. After looking around on these forums, I think I would go with the Diztronic Matte Back Black TPU Case (mentioned in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726922) as it seems to offer decent drop protection and can still be easily removed for use with the car dock.
2- Get a thicker case and use universal car dock.
If I went this route, I would get something similar to the Otterbox Commuter, Incipio Dual Pro, or Seidio Active/Surface case as I feel they would offer superior drop protection to the thinner style Diztronic case mentioned above. However, those cases are not really meant for constant removal so I would have to go with a universal car dock (most likely the Exomount). The exomount is a great looking dock and has pretty solid reviews and even though I prefer the look and functionality of a custom dock, I would be willing to sacrifice that if it meant keeping my phone much more secure.
Is there anyone else in a situation similar to this? Can the Diztronic offer decent protection against drops or is it mainly just for protecting the back of the phone? Is there anyone who uses a Exomount car dock with a larger case? I'm just looking for personal opinions from anyone else who may have gone with one of the methods I mentioned above. Thanks very much.

I have the infuse car dock ( love it ) and I have the the incipio case which is very easy to take the device out and put back in every day.
http://www.amazon.com/Incipio-SA-30...=1342720597&sr=8-1&keywords=incipio+galaxy+s3
I take it out every day / time I get in my car to drive and put in my dock and not a pain at all.
I went with the exomount because I am planning on getting the otterbox defender soon.
Look at the bottom of this page for some pics and description for what I did:

Working great so far.......I can vouch for that exomount. I stuck it on my dash three weeks ago and it hasn't shown any sign of coming off. I had my doubts of it holding up in this SW Louisiana heat, but it has both surprised and impressed me so far.

I was considering getting the Trident Kraken AMS case just so I could use the car mount accessory that came with it. You might want to check it out.. but now I am confused about whether I need the phone to go into dock mode with the pc board or if the ap I downloaded on its own can do that.. it seems like it, but maybe its only because I am trying it for a few minutes at a time.
Can't link to the kraken because I don't have 10 posts yet. I somehow lost my other forum account.
They said on their facebook page that it will be coming out next week.

Not sure about the app you are talking about, but I just discovered an app called car widget that allows you to setup one of your home pages to look like car dock mode. This will negate the need to have that PC board to trip the mode. For me, however, I like having to only plug one cable in to both charge and output audio to my car stereo. The basic car widget app is free by the way.

I ended up ordering the Infuse Dock along with a Diztronic Black Matte Back case. The case is very flexible and shouldn't take more than a few seconds to remove/put back on so I can live with having to do that when I want to use my dock. Nice thing is the dock was only 18$ (half-price on AT&T website) and I could always return it to the local AT&T store here if I absolutely hate it. I'll try to post some pics of the dock and/or case when I receive them if anyone would like.
Just got one of these... pretty impressed.
I have had 4 cases so far (had a half dozen or so for my Nexus 4; none I was happy with) with my Moto X:
Otterbox Commuter: Too hard to take on/off, lousy buttons, slippery.
Amzer Pudding: Meh, buttons not so good.
Incipio Dual Pro: Love it.
Trident Aegis: This is one pretty beefy piece of silicone. While the plastic out piece is not as grippy as the almost candle wax feel of the Dual Pro, it has a better texture than the Commuter, and enough silicone in the middle and corners (with a nice little ear) to make the phone quite grippy, without it sticking to your pocket.
Not quite as easily put on/off as the Dual Pro, but much easier than the Commuter due to no outer hard shell going over the buttons.
Buttons feel just as positive as the Dual Pro. This is definitely my case for the golf course, hiking, and anywhere else I think it may get knocked around.
Hey man great overall summary. Would you happen to haircut any pictures of the phone inside the cases? Would love to see how they look.

Any opinions on the headphone jack? I run a Poetic case because I like the spacing of the headphone jack such I can easily plug into my car without taking off the case.

Headphone jack has a very easily removed cover that moves well out of the way. But the diameter of the case above it doesn't seem like it would support a wide connector (I can measure if you want).

Appreciate it. I went ahead and took pictures to give you a good idea. In terms of numbers: I'm hoping for around a 15mm clearance; whether it is at least feasible to trim the hole to make it so.

Why is that plug so large?
You could always get a short extension cable with a smaller plug.

I have the Seidio Dilex case w/ holster, and really like the look of the Aegis case better, but the lack of an available holster makes it a non-starter. Does anyone know if the Aegis case works well (or at all) with the Seidio holster? The dimensions listed on the Trident web site indicate that the Aegis case is 0.15" taller than the Dilex, but that's probably from the "points" at the ends, not the center - where the clip would hold the case in the holster.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea...if push comes to shove....I might just do that. The only thing that worries about that is the change in impedance from doing that. I'm sure I can compensate but I hadn't thought of it before cause I always got lucky with the cases I bought being able to fit the whole 15mm diameter.

I have 555's too. Great headset! But creating a short pigtail won't increase impedance. The 555 uses an OFC cable, so if you really want to keep it pure, make your pigtail out of the same stuff.

That is what I use now so I don't ever have to worry about it no matter what phones/case combo I'm using. I hated the idea of limiting my case choices just because the jack opening was a little tight.
I have a Trident Aegis for my Moto G and it is indeed a tough, rugged case that provides a lot of protection. I use it when I think the phone might get bounced around some. But, I found it too bulky for every day use. Much more so than I thought it would be. I ended up with an Incipio DualPro and find I like it much better for normal use. It still provides good protection but without the extra bulk of the Aegis.

The Ballistic SG1188-A065 SG Case for Motorola X Phone has a fairly large cut out for the headphones so it may do the trick. I manage to plug in the large socket adapter on the hifiman re-zero's, although sometimes I have to make certain they are connected snuggly.
Unfortunately the forum won't let me a post a link to show you how large the adapter is because I haven't made ten posts.
Try googling headphonia hifiman re-zero
I have the Trident Aegis case for my X. Bought it off of Amazon, new in the retail packaging for $20.00. The case works well & as expected. The only gripes I have I that the opening for the headphone jack is wee bit small for all of my Jacks & it collects dust like crazy on the rubber parts of the case. It also is harder to find desktop docks & car mounts to fit the case (thickness & the charge port covers get in the way).

how are those earphones? I just ordered mine, I've heard some really good reviews about them.
I'm very satisfied. They look great, sound even better and work flawlessly with my Nexus 5 with all buttons and mic working just like they should. I've bought a lot of stuff for my phone but for me Pistons are one of the best buys ever.
The only downside is that while buying you have to beware of fakes, since the market is flooded with them.

Agreed and agreed. Love mine. Work perfect with the n5.
Buy from ibuygou or penonaudio. Both sell 100% real ones.
I have gotten for my N5: A S-Line case, retractable earphones, a dedicated MicroUSB (and USB-A) 2amp car charger (it shows as "Fast Charge" on the lock screen and Ampere reports 1300mA to about 1580 or so mA), SlimPort adapter (not for Maru OS, i'm not even rooted!) and some other things.
I would get a : a dock, a Qi charger (FoneSalesman' QiStone+ is being eyed by me), A SECOND BLACK 32GB NEXUS 5 (Daniel 5 the red N5 and Daniel 5-2, the black N5, maybe?), BlueTooth headphone adapter, etc.
I got mad catz cntlr for gaming..now planning for it controller !!

In my experience, a Diztronic case to replace the Spigen.
Diztronic? Really? The last one I bought, didn't impress me.
My answer. A DODOcase Durables case. They put the HTC One (M7) case on sale this week, and the M7 almost perfectly matches the Nexus 5's dimensions. I can wait to start carrying it in it. (I have Durables for my Nexus 4, and just got one for my iPod Touch 5gen. they're gorgeous, particularly when you get them for < US$50. Alas, the HTC One cases sold out in a day.)
I also ordered an LG QuickCover folio from Expansys. I always like having a full, book-style case for my phones. And this case is high speed. Light, thin, fits like a glove (better actually), and has a thin plate with magnets to ensure positioning on a Nexus 2013 wireless charger. Superb.
