Hi guys,
I recently bought LG G4 H815 Eu version,I unlocked the bootloader,rooted it,installed Xposed...
Everything works fine but I've noticed that sometimes charging shows up although I didn't connect the charger.
You can see it from the screenshots of Battery Drain app and stock Battery usage but BetterBatteryStats doesn't report anything... :what::what::what:
What kernel do you use ?

Stock kernel.
Today it happened again,twice!
The software predicts more drain based on your usage, and when you stop using the phone you get back 1-2%. Happens on other phones not just the g4.

That drain was because I played Real Racing 3...
I read somewhere that this can happen because the connection in the micro usb port on the phone is too low and I should lift it up a little but I'm afraid to do that,I don't want to break anything...

Ive had times where i put such a drain on the phones and quit turn off the screen the power level actually comes back up 5 or 10 percent might be what ure seeing
LG g4 battery percentage is listed according to the battery voltage, which varies with the temperature.
So you don't have to worry.

Correct, if it's fake then you need to put in the bin and buy a genuine battery.
Seriously, if your phone still gets warm when you switch it off, I would throw away the battery as far as possible...
Don't you mean standby (screen switched off)?
It still shouldn't get warm when in standby, but then atleast it could be a software problem instead of a possible faulty battery.
Maybe some app keeping your phone from entering deep sleep which drains the battery and might be the cause of the battery drain as well.
Check which apps are using the most power, or just simply factory reset your phone and see if the problem still exists.
If you bought your battery for $5 off eBay or something then chances are its a fake.
If you bought it from the Sony store then of course it's real. (and you should get it replaced)

I have original battery i ordered it at my operator from germany and it was 30€. When phone is turned off it drains battery. So if i flash kernel and wipe all should help?
If the battery still drains with the phone off (not screen off) then it's advisable to get a replacement.

its second day after new battery and i noticed that the phone is less heating but still drain battery but not in large amount so i will wait one more day. if wont be better if will root it and decrease processor to 1ghz
and i found another problem. if the battery empty so the fon shut down itself when i connect the chrager it dont start to charge and i cant turn on phone. it take like 3-4 hours to start charging...
I had a similar problem with my sisters galaxy mini... after a few days the only solution that i found reliable was to send it back for repair since it was warranty covered...

Hi
I bought an LG E977 Optimus G, I'm in trouble it, the battery meter is oscillating up and down, for example, the battery is at 65%, even outside of the charger / usb cable, it rises to 66% over time and then goes to 63%, this totally mangled. I have done a factory restore and still the same thing, even using or leaving him standing right would decrease the battery charge, but sometimes it increases, and then low. Already upgraded to latest version and also remains the same.
Help me
Thank you!
Same for me. Seems it's a bug...

I have the same problem with my E977
this happens to me with screen turned on during use, percentage always fluctuates randomly
I have these problems with 4.1.2 Stock CM and Last 11
Would be a problem with some file reading battery?
hi. i just got my new phone E980. its the AT&T model. the batter is so ambiguous man... like i got the phone just yesterday, started checking out the phone and the battery was like 23%.
after LITERALLY like 10 mins the battery went to like 12%... i was like WOOOOT.....
i discharged the phone completely and then took out the battery and discharged any remaining power from phone as its recommended.
then i charged the phone to full and started using again like paystore apps downloading.
as i checked the battery from setting the idle was using like 3rd most battery in the list after screen and android OS.
what is this man??? isnt it supposed to be a phablet? is it ok for my phone to be this worst at battery. this is first ever non-Samsung phone and i m used to good battery life where idle does not take freaking 3rd most of the battery... WTF... im kinda disappointed
also can someone tell me and pls like me here any good roms and how to root this phone and also tell me which roms provide good battery life?
i will be so thankful for these links...
smiler what happened to me :\
now i need to wait for new battery to arrive
EDIT:
small tip
its might help the sudden restarting if changing the processor speed to 1ghz max
I've solve the same Issue by using an Ipad Charger because the 3140Mah battery need a 2 Ampere charger.
First day my F240L drain full battery in 3 hours, the 100% charge was fake by charging with Galaxy S3 charger (I got Phone Used without Charger), the phone show 100% charge but the value was fake.
Try a charger with 2 Ampere Output.
This metod is working with ipad charger and Galaxy Tab 3 charger.
I hope that my Hint work for you.
Now my battery works very well. yesterday i disconnect phone at 8.30 am and at the 23.30 the charge was 47%, with mid-heavy use and wifi turned on all the day.
Plus 1!

Just got a set of these and a charger and they are great!! They are fairly cheap but not crap like the VERY cheap ones. Plus they have 180 day warranty. I suggest anyone who needs a battery go for the Zero Lemon.

Sorry that's all I got but you will see in the first screen shot during the 3 days the phone was powered on and off charge, the screen used 35% of the battery. I have had 2 previous phones, TMO GS2 and ATT Note1 and never had the battery last longer than around 24-26 hours on any ROM under similar circumstances. That is with notifications enabled and data and Wifi active but Bluetooth off.
2nd screenshot shows phone was sleeping (offline) 95% of the time so if my calculation is correct, on screen time would calculate out at 4394 minutes * (100-95.4) % = 202 minutes or around 3.3 hours during the 3 days I was using it (little more than 1 hour a day). Assuming the screen was on whenever the phone was online.
You just need to press Screen to see screen time

Guys, i need your advice.
I got a G3 ( d855p latinoamerica version) as a payment for a debt.
As far as i have readed this device in particular has a lot of heating issues, dead screens and damaged SOC´s.
My device has its battery damaged, i can only use it for about 3 hours. but it doesnt have any other noticeable issue (the screen its ok and i havent gotten any reboot, yet it heats a lot)
Is it worth the time (and money) buying another OEM battery, getting a 3rd party 6000 mah battery, or let it die?
Thanks in Advance for your answers.
Maybe battery just need a calibration: Battery Calibration - root or just flushing a stock rom to reset some software drain.

I've replaced mine about 2 years into usage, due to some heating, but mainly bootloop problems, and it works ok now. Zero bootloops.
However, while I had about 4-4.5h on-screen time on KitKat, I rarely pass the 3h mark now on Marshmallow.

Hey guys , i recently aquired an LG G4 H815 powered by android MARSHMELLOW V20g , the battery drains really fast and i didn't figure out why until i realized that the screen uses up to 68 % of battery power , though i reduce brightness to the minimum , nothing really changes , please help
That is normal. The screen using that much battery is a good sign. The more the better.
On max brightness, the screen uses a fixed amount of energy so if you're using 62% on the screen, it must mean other apps aren't misbehaving.
Tap on the screen and check the screen on time. It should be between 3 hours and 5 hours. If so, everything looks good.
Yes i agree , it's definitely logical , but is there anything i can do to reduce battery draining even a little

Even non root try to disable all non used apps disable sync and gps.
Also shut of data or wifi when not used, Use facebook on the web not the app major batt hog
my g4 normally got me only 2 hours of SOT which is horrible.
It's really frustrating man , and i absolutely deactivated unused apps as well as mobile data , sync and gps , actually everything's off , i made sure of it when i did a hard reset , it's abnormal as a friend of mine has a similar phone , but he hasn't the stupid problem , is there any version i can trust to flash , i have a 6.0 v20g
c'mon guys i'm really out of options
update guys , it's about the phone's battery , when i stopped using the usual charger which was really fast , about 1000 ma according to ampere app , and switched to another slower one , after a few days the battery somehow went to normal , can anybody explain why , was the battery just getting used to the slower charger ?
You should buy a spare battery with it's charger. The G4 battery is not that good even with optimal configuration.
Enviado desde mi LG-H990 mediante Tapatalk
Yeah, well... it's always better to use the manufacturer accessories, in this case the charger. Yeah, we know that Marshmallow uses more battery than Lollipop but the difference is not that obvious if you use the right charger. I've tested and Marshmallow cuts my SOT with roughly 40-50 mins...
That's the real problem , it's when you don't have the original charger , or let's just say you have no idea if the seller would give it to you as the phone was being used , you definitely have to figure out how to pick the appropriate one , any ideas ?
c'mon guys there must be a way to distinguish between a fake and an original charger , for example through monitoring amperage or may be voltage , i just need some clue , anything !
