Superzen rom.
I can change all my wallpapers and but when I have it set to auto update it will not change until I manually change it.
Ive uninstalled/reinstalled, moved to phone storage and sd card, set wallpapers in zedge, zedge widget updates when I refresh. But it just wont auto update consistently. Looking for ideas and thoughts.
I dont have anything else installed that controls wallpapers directly that I know of. Searching online and no one else seems to have this issue.
Fixed. Thanks for the help!.......
For anyone else who has issues like this OR issues with some apps in general not working correctly try theses steps first.
Cant find your apps widget- Go to settings, apps, and find your app. Make sure the app is local storage (should read "Move to external storage")
App not starting OR not performing correctly- Make sure you have the app enabled to start up on boot from the auto start manager app.
These two things fixed every issue I was having with the device.

Hello,
I had searched for this bug(?) but I found nothing like this.
Normal situation: if I want to put a new widget in the desktop, before drop the widget somewhere there is a green shadow which indicates that the placement is correct. If another widget is in the same place, this shadow is gray.
My problem: somehow, in concrete places in the desktop, at the time to drop the widget the shadow is gray and no widget is there. This occurs in the 1st desktop the hole 1st row and in the 2nd desktop, the 4th column, 2nd row. All the time are the same places and no matter which widget i try to put.
I have tried: reboot, long press in the gray places (maybe was an "invisible" widget), uninstalling some apps.
I'm newbe in android and don't want to make reset to default. Somebody knows about this issue?
Thanyou.
Never occured that problem, unistall all widgets then reboot, and then try to instal and put it.
First thing to try is wiping data for the launcher. You many need root, never tried without so don't know.
Sent via subspace beacon from my Arc.
This problem is known and is due to a modification of the location of the widgets that were here before; for instance if you move it from memory to sd card.
If you do not want to root, you have to reset the launcher, but you will have after to do your personalization again. To reset the launcher, Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, All, Sony Ericsson Home, Wipe Data (sorry, my system is in French, so my translation can not be exact).
If you have rooted, you have to remove the line(s) concerned by your "ghost" widgets in the file: \data\data\com.sonyericsson.home\files\desktop.xml.gz\desktop.xml
Thanks to all for the answers and specially for thierryb because he got with the solution.

Hello,
I'm trying to add some of my ringtones to the G3, and can't get the phone to use them. As usual with previous phones, I just copy some mp3 in my Ringtones folder, but they don't appear in the ringtones settings. In the settings I can add a new ringtone, but it tries to get it from my library, and I don't want them in there as they're not actual songs.
Is there something I don't get? How do you guys use custom ringtones?
I could probably add them to my library, then add them as ringtones, then remove them from the library, but that seems tedious and I'm not even sure that would work.
(PS: I'm not rooted yet, I'll wait a few weeks to have a good feel about the stock rom before I go into serious tweaking)

I was surprised to see this issue as well--I'm not sure why LG would intentionally not allow additional ringtones (and notifications).
I'm rooted, and what I ended up doing was copying the ogg files into /system/media/audio/ringtones. Even then, the new ones took a while to show up in the ringtone list--I assume a media scan was needed.
I have noticed, however, that new notifications and ringtones downloaded through Zedge do appear in the list.
On my d850 I can add custom ringtones, I didn't even have to copy them into my ringtones folder. I hit add in sound>ringtone and it finds all media on my sdcard... Even mp4 videos

Actually you're right, the ringtones I had manually copies into the ringtone folder did eventually appear in the list. I guess as you said a media rescan was needed.

Hey,
I fixed this issue on my phone by going to Settings -> General (if you have "tab view" on) -> Apps -> All -> Media Storage and then clearing the data by clicking on the "Clear data" button. After that, I simply rebooted my phone and all of my ringtones and notification sounds appear in my apps (e.g. Hangouts, Google Play Music, Contacts, etc).
There are apps on Google Play that is suppose to do this for you; however, the first three that I tried force close on me so, I went this route.

Using this method erased the cache completely and left me initially with an empty list of sounds/ringtones/notifications so I was a bit startled, but the returned a few seconds after.
However, the only sounds I can get working are .ogg files, .mp3 do not show up in the lists.
Time to get rootin' I guess but haven't found a root-method yet as I've been so ignorant to install all LG OTA updates and now I'm at software version V20h-EUR-XX.
Actually, having said that, there is a "+" in the top right corner which does see the .mp3 files and enables me to select them.
Sweet. It's worked. Thanks
Hello, sorry if this is a bonehead question, but I'm not that inexperienced, so my inability to figure this out or find a solution specific to the issue I'm having after an hour Googling has led to me developing a violent facial tic and my periodic rage-gasms made my dog retreat to his hiding spot because he misinterpreted my muttering and cursing as a scolding directed his way. Now I feel bad.
Anyway, I can't add bitmaps. Whenever I select one, the following loading screen just locks up, and a switch back to my 'desktop' displays the little folder icon where the bitmap should be within the widget.
I've restarted, uninstalled zooper, reset defaults, thoughtfully chewed on a pencil, messed with zooper app permissions, and looked at everything very sternly. Nothing.
Zooper automatically uses Gallery as a file manager, and I can't find a way to let me change it to another manager. I've gone into settings and cleared defaults on every program even remotely related to file mngmt, but i CANNOT get zooper to default to another manager or allow me to choose another.
I'm sure it's something simple, but I'm clueless so does anyone have a solution for me?
Really? No one?
I had this problem bother me for a short time before I caught on. Your explanation has things sounding similar enough to my own problem for me to assume it's almost certainly the same quick - fix, which in turn will make you facepalm yourself (as I did) because it's really simple.
Stop gnawing on things and traumatizing your dog, and just go look up Zooper in Settings>Apps. Investigate Zooper's permissions. For some mysterious reason, myself and a few others have had storage permissions deactivated for this app alone.
Just make sure that Zooper has storage permissions active once more, and you're good to go.
Cheers.
Hi,
New to the forum, I've had my S9 plus (UK) for a few days now but I'm having issues with the weather apps.
BBC weather does not work at all, as soon as it's launched it closes and it shows an error message.
AccuWeather seems to work but the widgets are not working for it. I normally have an widget on my home screen but it as soon as I put the widget on it just freezes and shows the same error.
Are there any issues or any solutions to this?
Thanks!
seems maybe like permissions problems - if you dont allow permission to each app to track your location - they will not work - id go in the app management and check permissions for each app
Thanks mate!
It was a permissions issue on both apps, had to allow permissions to location and clear cache and they started working.
Its about strange as soon as I installed the BBC weather app and opened it, it would crash, I thought the app would automatically request permission but didn't get to that stage. Had to manually allow permissions in the app settings.
Thanks again mate, really appreciate it. Hopefully this will help other people.
accuweather crashes all the time on s9+
Hey guys, i have this odd issue that when i take a screenshoot and want to share it it does not show to share?
but i see it in my library and even when i click in messenger add picture i see the screen shoot in the folder but when i select the folder it is not there....
really annoying..any body else have that issue? tried in whats app also same issue..
build QPP3.190404.015
Some apps that use media have some goofy bugs related to how the media permissions changed in beta 2 and 3. Try going to the app settings and removing media permissions and adding them back. It was changed from media to music/photos separately, then changed back as the new permissions was pushed to Android R (I think) instead.
I had an issue where Google Photos wasn't showing recent items from my camera roll. Turned the permission off and on again and now it works fine.
