Hi, I recently Rooted and successfully update my FireTV to the new Software Ver#. 51.1.3.0_513011820 Pre-Rooted Stock Software by rbox. I then attached a usb keyboard (Logitech) to help setup XBMC on my Firetv. The problem I'm having is my FireTV remote has stop working and the usb keyboard has taken over control of the fireTv. How can I reset my firetv remote as the primary controller?

Hi this is my first post in the forum,
I'd been using FireTV with XBMX 13.2 for a while. I rooted it and had a good config with Llama that made the device to boot directly to XBMC.
I have tried to upgrade to Kodi with ADB Install (Not using -r). From the Android Applications I could start Kodi fine but wanted to have it boot to kodi directly so I did a ADB uninstall org.xbmc.xbmc. from my pc After that FireTV got hanged when rebooted on the Amazon FireTV screen and could not get in anymore as it stopped to be visible on the network(Can´t ping).
Is there any workaround/solution to this situation?
I read in other site that I should plug a usb keyboard to solve it is this the only way? In that case I will have to find one as I mine is PS2.

Apparently support for the DisneyLife app is coming to the Stick but is currently only available on Android TV and the Fire TV.
Has anyone got the TV apk I can try sideloading or has anyone tried it already on the stick?
Have successfully tried the normal android device apk but its touch screen heavy so difficult to navigate!

My new Elements Fire TV doesn't update... now still version 5.2.5.0, whereas it should be 5.2.6.2.
It doesn't do it automatically, and nothing happens when I make it search for an update.
I was told by Amazon customer service to update it manually via USB port. It didn't work.
Anyone experienced the same trouble, and has any idea how to fix it?
What were the instructions that Amazon gave you to update via USB?
I downloaded the updated on my USB, and when I plug it in the TV USB port, the TV should upload automatically. But here nothing happens.

I am having the same issue. The tv detected the usb drive one time and then I encountered an error and it would not load the update. I tried downloading and running the updates on the link provided above but have not had any success. Anyone else have other suggestions? The TV is so sporadic and buggy now that it's almost unusable.
Hey I was wondering if its possible to have the Fire TV Stick 2nd Gen (Tank Version) to be able to boot into TWRP once plugged in with an usb otg cable like the 4K Fire TV Stick? As I do more testings on the (Tank), it gets super annoying being forced to rerun the exploit again so if anybody has a way to make this happen, that'd be very helpful!!!

Hi there,
You can run boot-recovery.sh which will force the device to boot recovery.
Porting the "OTG TWRP" requires modifying the lk-payload so good luck
