Hi, got problem with battery drain with bt turned on.
I'm using miband 1s, baterry drains really fast when bt is turned on.
miband does not use bt all the time (battery works almost 30days) but it happens only on MM (checked stock 2 times, all resets done few times, after that checked fullmics 3.5 and 3.7).
here are screens.
Any ideas and questions are welcome

At those screens battery info reports Bluettoth settings, but usually it's just Android OS around 20-30% when bt is on.
Ofcourse doze does not work when bt is on, when turned off - works great.
Is there any app that checks wakelocks in MM?

Hi,
I recently got a Galaxy Nexus and loving it and my question is regarding Bluetooth. Could be applied to other Android devices as well.
Is it better to toggle Bluetooth ON and OFF constantly (through apps such as Tasker) or to keep it ON (w/without any paired devices) until its turned off manually or by a constraint? What is a better battery saving option?
Thanks.
bluetooth
I tend to just leave bluetooth on all the time, I don't notice much drain and it makes connecting to my car a lot easier. I'm assuming that it acts like gps (i leave that on all the time too) and it only drains power when it is in use, like when i open google maps. Just because the toggle is on doesn't mean that it's in use and draining power, at least that's what i think...
I wouldn't mind that either, but the icon is there all the time and just makes me feel as if it is draining at least some amount of battery. Or using the Android system even if not in use. So I would rather have it turned off. But you're right, I haven't noticed much of a drain with Bluetooth always on (non-paired most of the time) and toggling it. Actually I think I have seen it eat more battery if I toggle. But I might be wrong!
A lot of us SW3 users are having battery life issues after the Wear 5.1 update. My Smartwatch 3 went from 50% to dead in 90 minutes without using location or Wi-Fi. But after a factory reset (and long resync) my Smartwatch 3 is lasting longer than ever with Ambient Mode still enabled. I recommend factory resetting (the only things that will be lost are preferences and sideloaded apps) and disabling Wi-Fi after setup. If you can tolerate it, disable additional features like tilt wake and GPS (location). See if battery life improves and reenable useful settings after a few days.
Trick didn't help me. After 2 resets battery life is same. Drainig battery is here. Now for 2 days I am looking what is draining battery.

Ive done 2 factory resets since the issue started.
I've also turned off gestures, GPS, wifi and cloudsync.
Nothing seems to make a difference...
I think that some apps are not optimized for newest version of Android Wear, my Smartwatch after update has problem of battery draining, I've done 2 resets but nothing, then i uninstalled all apps and installed 1 app every 4-5 hours to find what causes problems. For now I found WatchMaker Pro that causes battery draining. Now using my watch normally, with wifi on, wrist gestures and some watchfaces installed from yesterday at 6 AM, today at 4:30PM i have 35% of battery, is not so bad!

I suspect this might be true. For me, Muzei app and possibly FORM watchface suddenly consumed 400mb of cellular data within minutes and sent my battery diving. Uninstalled both apps and battery life has been back to normal, even within Wi-Fi turned on (albeit rarely utilized since I'm hardly away from my phone).
Hi. This is my problem. Somebody know how turn off the WiFi on Moto 360? I turn off on settings but back to Automatic it self. What can i do? Thx.
Same problem here. I suspect Wifi is eating my battery, since I work from 8-5 and lose only 50%, but from the time I get home til about 9pm (roughly 3.5 hours), my battery drains to below 10%.
yes if you use wifi it is using lots of battery power. since i enabled it, and all other use of the watch has been the same, the battery is at 10% 7 ish hours off charge. i have a moto charger i carry around so i dont care about this but yeah wifi for the win chuck!
May have found out how to turn it off completely -- in the Android Wear app, go to the settings for the 360 and turn off Cloud Sync. It will warn you that it will disable WiFi on your watch. Now my Wifi is listed as off.

I can see screen time maximum 4 hour or maybe a little more for 4 hour.Screen Light %0 wifi is closed and everything is closed no working program no working bluetooth or nfc etc..I tried everthing for better battery life but ı cant solve this problem ı bought my phone one mounth ago and ı see everyday android is is using %45-50 battery.I never opened auto screen lighter or 4g or ntc. But drain, fastly every 3 minute %1 drain.my firmware is 2.20.40.58 and how can solve this problem can you help me please
To help improve battery life
1. Please ensure to turn off 'Wifi Scanning always available.'
2. Please also see the following information showing 8 ways to extend the ZenFone 2 battery Life. http://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1012981/
3. If still no improvement then recommend performing a hardware reset including cache wipe partition and try steps 1 & 3 again. http://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1011956/

None of those ASUS official 8 ways do solve the root cause of the battery drain issue.
So far I find most interesting way that may really double your battery life is to activate the "Intel Deep Sleep Mode"
Please check at the link (sorry too new to post a link)

Hi
I still dare to activate my Zenfone2 deep sleep mode following the process.
Guess what happened? I have no problem with my proximity sensor nor any issue with ZenMotion after 1 week tests.
And the battery saving effect of this deep sleep mode is working like a champ.
I have not yet calculated scientifically but the deep sleep mode at least *doubled* my battery life, which means before activating deep sleep mode I need to recharge every day of even 1/2 day. Now my Zenfone2 could work without charging for more than 1 day or even 2 days under normal use.
Now I have removed all apps related to battery saving like amplify, greenify, battery doctors, etc.
and I don't even need to close any app in startup management and the deep sleep still works and extend my battery life up to 2 days recharging cycle under my normal usage.
Although I find a side(not bad) effect so far is that the file transfer will be "deep slept" (i.e. backup progress stopped at the % where your screen turns off) and it seems the moving activity in the background is deactivated when screen off. But this is not a issue to me as I expect all apps and activities that out of my focus should not keep draining my battery. I can achieve this by stopping unkown/unecessary wakelocks through "xplosed + amplify" but I don't need them anymore as deep sleep mode seems does the same for me.
One thing really does matter to me is that will all notification still works? My test so far shows that by activating the deep sleep mode will not disable any wifi nor 4G signal nor any notification that the apps should normally give you alarms/warnings, especially wake up alarms.
I'd like to really really thank you for your advise.
I think this "intel deep sleep mode" is really a total soultion to the Zenfone 2 battery drain issue and worth a try, at least for me so far.
I don't know if this process also may apply to non-intel cpu android phones which also have the andorid os battery draining bugs.

can you tell me the steps to enable deep spleep mode?
I am a noob bro  but the following tweaks will certainly help u.
I use auto start manager to manage almost all except a few apps like whatsapp and truecaller etc.
Disable wifi scanning and wifi network notification in wifi advanced settings. Our phone's brightness is too much even on the lowest setting so keep it around 25-30% for lower battery drain from display.
Watch out for wakelocks, read the battery graph. I prevented truecaller and playstore from waking up device.
Turn off gps when not using.
Disable asus built in bloatware and certain google apps that u don't use e.g. i dont use google plus, talkback, hangouts and even chrome since these run in background and drain battery.
Google app is also a big culprit. I personally don't use google app and disabling it will make a big difference.
Then use data usage in mobile manager for further tweaks. Avoid 4g/3g when idle.
Mine is a 2gb z00a and i get a decent backup of around 1.5 days with normal usage with calling whatsapp browsing. Intel processor is a battery vamp and this fact can't be changed.
And not to forget after every ota update perform a cache wipe to get rid of conflicting data from previous firmware.
And this intel deep sleep mode is new to me..will also try it.

Bluetooth is draining battery even if it is turned off. sometimes it shows as high as 80 percent battery usage. after a factory reset the problem persist. can someone help me to resolve the problem.
I have same problem, except for the leak only occurs when Bluetooth is active but it is not justified
With my Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 A720, the issue started after last update around end of August or start of September.
If bluetooth is on, the battery drains at around 1% per minute. The phone dies within 2-3 hours if I leave bluetooth on.
It seems to be ok when bluetooth is disabled. I have disabled all passive bluetooth features such as location etc.
In addition to the real battery drain, there's also phantom bluetooth battery drain in the battery usage settings. When my bluetooth is on, in ~10 minutes actual battery level goes down from 100% down to 90%, but the battery app shows 24% used by bluetooth and around 1% by screen.
