[Q] Update Kindle Fire 8.9 and Maintain Root

Hi guys!
I have a Kindle Fire HD 8.9. I rooted it a while ago using KFFirstAide and bricked it for a while but eventually got it up and running and rooted. An OTA update reset it back to stock. I was able to re-root and disable OTA updates.
Now I see there's a new version of the Fire system - 8.4.6 (I am still on 8.3.0). Is there a way to update to the latest version and retain everything as set, or will I need to just install the update then re-root with KFFirstAide or similar?
Thanks!

You can use KFFA to stop OTA updates. Otherwise when the update happens it will break your root and you will need to reroot your tablet again.

Upgrade from 51.1.0.1 to 51.1.4.1

I just have a quick question for clarification purposes. I have a rooted 51.1.0.1 Fire TV and want to upgrade to rbox's Pre-rooted 51.1.4.1 rom. From what I can gather I must upgrade to his 51.1.4.0 rom first? Can I flash straight from 51.1.0.1 to 51.1.4.0, let it boot up, then flash 51.1.4.1?

Stock rooted on 5.1 but want to update to Marshmallow

I am stock rooted right now on 5.1 but want to update to Marshmallow.
What is the easiest method for this?
I did this method originally while on 5.1:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/orig-development/recovery-twrp-touch-recovery-t3066720
I was going to restore my stock system backup in TWRP and then do the OTA and then do the above procedure again to obtain root.
I wasn't sure if I had to go through this same exact procedure again to go from root in 5.1 to root in Marshmallow or if things have changed.
TIA

Just use the latest ruu. Doesn't wipe. Flash twrp and supersu afterwards to RE root

Is there a prerooted Firmware for the Fire TV 2 Os 5.2.6.3

Is there a pre rooted Firmware for the Fire TV Gen 2 with Firmware.
I only found as latest prerooted frimware 5.2.6.2.
The latest Firmware is 5.2.6.3 but i dont see a preerooted.
I find that the latest OS home screen is better Then the from 5.2.6.2

is there a way to root 5. 2. 6. 3 or install the twrp Recovery?

I Have 2 Fire TV Gen 2 boxes.
Boot Have Fire OS 5.2.6.3.
The First is Brick through a error in twrp flash Installation (Power off while i install xposed).
This had 5.2.6.3 installed an i could root it with King root 4.1 and i had install twrp and Flash the 5.2.6.2 preerooted Version.
Now i Have a new gen 2 Box with 5.2.6.3 but the Kingroot doesnt work on it.
I try Ed 4.1, 5.0.1, 5.3.5 and over Windows Kingroot.
Is there a way to Use King root to root?
Or is there a other way to root or to install the twrp Recovery without root?
The Strange is that at the Old brick fire tv Box the King root has worked and now on the New Box it doesnt work.
All i need is the twrp Recovery installed.
first time root is only possible with a version up to 5.2.1.1
if you have rooted on this version you can install twrp and newer pre-rooted firmware.
no way to install twrp to root after 5.2.1.1
Strange on the fire tv what now has a brick has the root Ing work with 5.2.6.3
Which version is successfully root samsung j200g
I too have this 5.2.6.3 fire stick,.. can i flash those prerooted firmwares or anything like that? thanks.
