Hello,
I am looking for some information about e975's electronic.
I know it is not provided with the wireless charging.
However, when opening, it's easily to see both nfc connectors (which are abnormally more space than those Nexus 4). On the motherboard, I can see 4 pads divided into four blocks square. The two upper pads are connected to nfc connectors.
I guess the two lower plots were planned to test the wireless charging in debug if it had been implemented.
I plan to hack the Nexus 4 coil for use on the optimus. However, I wonder if optimus G can support wireless charging with its original components.
One of the reserved plot to wireless charging is connected to the mass. Is this a normal configuration?
Thank you for your help.
Add wireless charging to Optimus G
Hello everyone,
I reponds to myself.
By searching the documentation, the system depends on the wireless-charging BQ51051b component used by the Nexus 4.
The component is independent of the rest of the motherboard and is connected directly to the charging port on the motherboard.
The samsung's wireless-charging uses the same components as the Nexus4.
As an attachment here wirless charging I installed on my lg optimus g. :highfive:
The system is integrated well enough under the cover of the optimus g.
If anyone is interested I do a tutorial.
The advantage is that the load is done by by standard IQ.
The change is not expensive: 15 € for the coil nexus4 and 6 € for wireless-charging sytem for Samsung.
For less than 30 € and a few accessories you can take advantage of wireless charging.
Have fun.

Good job!
Since this is connected to the motherboard, it would be possible for the G2 also right?
Would be nice if you could supply a little tutorial and maybe example parts on ebay/where you got them (though international sellers would be best).
PLEASE... post tutorial

I have the opportunity to test on a GS2. I will try it soon.
It is possible to make the change on all GSM using the 5v usb. After, it is a matter of convenience or space in the phone to install addon.
But it must be possible. And I'm pretty sure I'm complicated life for nothing, but I do not want to lose my optimus g.
See you soon.

I plan to buy ouya on Amazon and then ship it to China(yes,I live in China) Here's my question. Ouya has 110 voltage but Chinese voltage is 220V. Do I need to use adapter? Maybe this is stupid question, but I am not sure if ouya would be blow up when I plug it into slot:banghead:
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
It runs on 12V dc so you'll probably have to get an adaptor that will take 220V ac down to that. I don't think the one it comes with will do that.
I looked at my adapter and the stock adapter I recieved a AC to DC adapter with
Input: 100-240v` 50/60Hz 0.6A
Output: 12V 1.5A
Looks like my stock power supply supports 220V sources. Don't know if they would vary on power supply models. 12 volt dc power supplies are a dime a dozen, not a serious problem.
I'm in Germany an we also have 220v. Working like a charm.

I looked up the Chinese wall outlet. This may not support the plugs from the standard North American outlet. The voltages will work but the plugs themselves may not fit. So unless you request the region specific adapter, you will not be able to plug it into the wall. Sorry
The good news is 12 volts is very common, all you need to do is find something with the same plug for the back of the Ouya and amperage rating equal to or greater (preferably equal to) 1.5 amps. If you think you have one that may work (fits but you are unsure about the rating) send me a pm.

Really? Ouya will work under 220v without any adapter?
Sure. The only thing you might have to use is any form of world travel adapter to be able to plug it into your country's socket. I'll add a photo of the lable. It clearly says input 100 - 240 V.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X+ mit Tapatalk-4
I personally use one of these http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51XjaHgSHtL.jpg
But any generic psu with the right values and plug will work.
I figured out my wd live TV hub and my external hdd also have the same plug, voltage and polarization. Just one of them is able to deliver a bit more amps but that doesn't matter because it's always a question of how much amps the device will demand and not how much the psu will push through the device (you remember ohms law?)
Funny thing to mention:
You can even run your ouya from the power of your PCs USB port. Therefor you have to make an adapter from USB to DC input. But caution: on high load this might pull more amps than your USB port might bee able to deliver.
This is possible because ouya is internally using a step down module regulating the voltage down to 5volts. So anything between 5-12 Volts should be good so long as polarization is right. But if you don't know what you are doing just stick to original DC adapter

How does the wireless charging work?
Are there any other charging base that can work with this moto 360?
mr3army said:
Qi charging is qi charging. If you wish to use a different qi charger it will work but most of them are flat for phones so it won't be cradle.
You can find them by just searching Qi charger although your probably best sticking with Motorolas one.

My problem is that I travel a lot and I always forget chargers.
Thanks to the EU rule of using the microUSB through a lot of devices, I kind of solved my issue. I just carry one
Now this watch would mean another (different) charger, which is out of the questions. What I will look for is a general microUSB charger for all my devices which has PLUS an Qi charger.
Do you know of any?
p.s. thanks now will look for Qi chargers
I've tried it on my Choe qi charger and it works. However I haven't left it on there too long. Not sure if it's safe.
I used my Nokia DT-900 to charge my Moto 360, worked just fine...
Im now looking for a sale on a Qi equipped battery pack so that if I need to change it while on the go I can.
Get a Qi pluck charger.
I too travel a lot. Here is the contents of my Hotel Room kit which is compatible with Moto 360 charging:

Nexus 5, Nexus 7, & now Moto 360... I might need to add a third Qi pad if I want convenience.
Still fine tuning all my travel stuff. Maybe I'll eliminate a Qi pad... Probably not.

OT.
Regarding the Travel Router, I didn't know those things existed, it would have spared me lot of frustration in hotel with weak wifi signal (happens all the time). Is this model the best, are there better/newer models?

HooToo has another smaller model. I selected the one I did because of its internal battery. Though I haven't used it off power much, so I may be changing my loadout as a result.
TP-Link has one also. Haven't used it. There may be more, but those are the ones I am familiar with.
I think the TP-Link is the smallest, so it might be my next acquisition. Will need to look into it more.

I bought netgear pr2000, let's see how it goes
It seems like the travel routers with battery packs can power themselves whereas the non-battery pack ones need an external power supply? Is this fair to say?
For use in a car or outdoor meeting place, the ability to create a little LWAN to file share between friends/colleagues would make battery ones would be necessary.
Unless I'm mistaken and they all require a power supply to broadcast wireless?

Not sure, but just get yourself a battery pack (always handy to have) and you solve it.

I've tried 2 different brands of these adapters and neither work. Both say USB device not supported when you plug in. First one was a cheap one from ebay that reviews said worked ok, but I didn't. So I then bought the official Huawei Adapter but that didn't work either - I bought that one as it was on sale cheap locally and I couldn't get the Samsung one nearby. Is it only the official Samsung one that will work?
I tried 3 different ones that I had, none of which are cheap cheap and none work.
Also my Huawei USB c earphones don't work properly and several others I tried also didn't work 100%

read that the google pixel one works. Supposedly it has to have DAC for it to work. I just ordered one that can charge as well for my longer flights. Comments say should will work.

It will also drain your battery faster since the phone have to provide power to the DAC required adapter.
The only adapters I'd use is essential one and google one iv not known samsung to give an adapter
Google adapter works flawlessly for me also.
Google here also

Hiya [emoji4]
Has anyone used one of these QI Receivers to add wireless charging to their phones?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RXBQFVV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_HrWfFb7VS91BA
I'm paranoid about wearing down the USB C port with using or for both wired headphones and wired charging. I've only had the phone a week and have managed to slightly bend the USB C port pins when I pulled the phone off the table with some headphones plugged in [emoji17]
I know charging will be slow but wondered if anyone had used one at all?

I bought one of these as ive got a really nice wireless charger stand and it was only a tenner to give it a try. Absolutely useless. Tried it on 2 fast wireless chargers - a 27W and a 15W one with different plugs (the Supervooc, a huawei supercharger and a Fast charge 2.0) and different cables and the most i could get to show on a charge meter app was 134mah - but the charge was all over the place and mostly was well below 100 and as soon as the phone thinks about something then into the negetive.. I'm not sure that even all night on that charge would get from 0-100%
If anyone else has tried a different one that works well (I know that it wont charge very quick, i'd just like to be confident that it would fully charge overnight) then please post links!!
Damn! I'm in the same boat, I've got a nice Samsung convertible wireless charger which is now acting as a fancy bedside phone stand due to the Oppo not having wireless charging.
I heard reviews from others on Amazon that said the same as you said, it's slow (which is fine), but also that even after a full night of charging, the phone wasn't full in the morning! [emoji17]

I was having another play and tried another wireless charging pad - a 15W one with a Quickcharge 2 plug both 'Ventev' brand (the one i was trying to get to work was a Huawei Suoercharge wireless charging stand) and it consistently charged at 350mAh. This would be slow but probably enough to get a charge overnight - so I'd say it may be worth a try as it seems it all depends on the charger you use.
