ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED
I have an lg g4 h811, when I tried to flash a cm14.1 rom it said it was a h815 so it didn't work so I decided to get stock rom (cause I bought it from eBay and the previous owner installed a random custom os with bugs). So I tried to flash a flashable lg g4 stock h811 rom in twrp and after the flash, I pressed reboot and it turned off and won't turn back on. It won't accept charge, it wasnt recognized by my laptop, and won't turn on. Any help would be appreciated thx.
:good:
Can you get back into TWRP recovery mode? If not, can you get into download mode? Follow these instructions EXACTLY, http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-lg-g4-stock-firmware-to-stock-kdz-t3107848
If that doesn't work, install LG Bridge and get into download mode and see if you can update that way.
Hi all,
I was wondering, once I have custom firmware and recovery on my lg g4, will I be able to reinstall the software from LG Bridge. I understand that I could use the kdz downloaded by it in LG UP, but I was wondering, if I put my phone in download mode, could the update error recovery utility in LG Bridge also reinstall it?
Thanks in advance for your help

I tried this recently just to see what it does, but it even didn't recognize the phone. So you probably need to use LGUP (which I used to go back to stock on my G4) or TWRP to flash something else.

I just tried it and interestingly if the phone is in download mode, it does get recognized as an LG device and will initiate an Update Error Recovery
Hi ,
I try to install TWRP on my G3 jelly bean model D855
I've tryed via adb, flashify. Nothing works: when it reboots, it goes to flashboot mode. Even pushing vol - et power buttons, leads to flashboot mode. (even pushing, release, and pushing again)
I managed , via shell, to bump! it (well, i think i did, as i could go until the screens where we have to choose to factory reset) but still, only fastboot mode.
I've search on the net and tryed all tutos i've found
Does anyone have a clue?
Thanks,
Wish you a nice day
I don't have any clues or pointers but I'm quite curious. When the G3 was introduced it came with 4.4.2 KitKat. The G2 had JellyBean. How did you get JB on the G3?
I can only find one reference to that combo. An article titled " LG G3 D855 MT6572 jellybean firmware free download" but actually offers up a KitKat download.
Anyway, strange.
Have you considered upgrading the firmware (to KK, LP, MM) using a flash tool or LGUP? If you really do have JB on a G3 I can see why trying to get TWRP on it is problematic.
LG G3 D851, Mahdi v2.9 ROM (4.4.4), microG (NoGApps), MultiROM, XDA Legacy
Marcdw,
My mistake: it's actually 4.4.2 so kit kat version, you're right.
I'm trying to upgrade but PC suite is bugging on my PC... will try on another PC tonight....
Thanks for taking time
