MM battery 'Over-counted' bug - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

To anyone who can help,
I am using @Schischu's AOSP MM rom on a T700, and I keep getting this ''Over-counted' entry in my battery log that is steadily draining my battery even when the device is idle. It appeared a few days after my first install, so I did a full data\cache\system wipe, reinstalled, and it appeared again two days later. I can't find much about it anywhere, particularly no solutions, but @SalsaForte in the ROM's thread described it to me as:
"Over-counted is not an application, it's a miscalculation based on expectations vs reality. The algorithm seems to be confused by either wrong estimations and/or wrong battery capacity."
I'm using Greenify and I'm starting to suspect it might have something to do with this, but I really can't determine where it's coming from or what triggers it. It doesn't seem to affect many others that I can find. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. I've lost 5% of battery while writing this!
Thank you

Is my issue this isolated or is this just something that is understood and not discussed? I assume it's a lack of information but nonetheless the silence worries me. I realize it's a battery algorithm estimation problem and maybe a few percent is normal but it now counts for over HALF of my battery life.

Apps stopped showing up in battery usage. Why?

Has anyone experienced this? As you can see from the attached shot, none of my App usage is showing up on my battery usage percentages. Usage includes a decent amount of time on Tapatalk, web browsing with Opera and some games. I even played about 20 minutes of Angry Birds to try to get an App to show up. Even Android OS is missing.
I've restarted multiple times, drained and charged to full, and even wiped battery stats in CWM. What the hell did I do? I'm really at a loss.

Think it has something to do with the "Desperado" kernel. I was running that before I flashed the Rogue Stock Repack and apps weren't showing up in the battery stats. After flashing the stock repack, the apps showed up again.
Thanks for the reply. I suspected it was kernel related, but I wasn't getting any replies in the kernel thread so I figured it was just me. I'll probably have to wait until Steady Hawkin sees my post(s).
Thanks again.

[Q] Fix for incorrect display % in battery usage stats?

Is there a fix for the underestimated display use of battery? It's not a huge deal, but it's annoying.

Thanks, but I prefer to stay on TW.
I'm hoping there's a apk/file I can edit. I just need someone to point me in the right direction so I can poke through the right classes.dex.

No. That is a Samsung issue. What Android System is displaying is basically every use of your phone. Any wakelock, display on, boot up, sync, anything needing an android driver, even charging because it has a script that runs. So Samsung believes this to be correct. Like a computer, Windows and it's drivers run 85% of the time versus the programs using processor power.
ICS ports and AOSP ROMs have redefined that to use other than those things above. The only stats you really need is display on time and percentage of deep sleep from CPUSpy for a given percentage of battery.

sudden battery drain for no reason?

I was getting really good battery life until a few days ago when the battery suddenly started draining without any reason. I've not installed any apps or changed any settings that I think would've caused this. Can someone have a look at the screenshots and advise please?
Using viper x rom with default kernel.

Your rx wake seems to high, mines been on all day and only shows as less than 5 minutes this is on the stock kernel.
Now I can't remember top of my head but rx wake might be wifi related, sometimes caused by bad routers and such. Also you've got Bluetooth on have you noticed the same drain with Bluetooth off?
Other than that it doesn't seem to be bad at all but something is causing a drain and I think it's the RX wake in conjunction with Android OS.
Compared to my screen shots for today something is not right with yours.

Does it happen all the time? Usually a restart can solve any background issues you may be facing.

Horrible Battery life on Canadian S3, rom or upgrade?

My wives phone is brutal on battery life, I know the usual tricks... no gps/wifi/bluetooth etc... brightness, background apps, clearing memory etc.... but it is horrible, even with a new battery.
I know we benefit from roms and tinkering... but I feel odd about doing it for her. Would the device greatly benefit from a root/custom rom? Can anyone recommend a rom thread that is based of stability and battery life? Seeing how it is old tech, as far as I am concerned... is this a fairly simple process?
thanks in advance as always

With the standard battery

Each user's experience with a custom ROM is different based on a lot of variables. Your device can definitely benefit from a custom ROM or kernel or both if done correctly. This is a case of experimentation on your part to find what best suits your needs.
These kinds of threads open up all sorts of drama and as such are not allowed on XDA. I am closing this thread but leaving you with a direction to look in. Best of luck to you.

Battery drain problems

My gpad the wifi version running Android 4.4.2 got problem in retaining battery. It drains about 4 to 5 percents of the battery when the pad is in idle for about 10 hours. The pad is new so i don't think is the app i downloaded that is causing the problems. It must be something have to do with the manufacturer. Are you folks having the same problems? May be i need to flush it and reload the android to get away the apps installed by the manufacturer. Any ideas? Thanks.
Sound better than average to me (I've had quite a few tablets&phones ... but only have this GTab for 2 days).
that is actually quite good, mine use to lose 10+%.got it to only lose about 2-3% by using clean master.just kill everything when i go sleep.give it a go.
Thanks will give it a try. There are just too much possibilities here. Need an expert to figure it out.
Download App Ops Starter from playstore. Look for apps that keep your tablet from going to sleep and turn off that setting. Also you can turn off their ability to spy on you.
