First opinion about this update is very positive. My phone went faster after the update. Was a hell to download from the server... I uploading to mega, hope it will be a help for all of you

Any fixes like lockscreen widgets or not? I find lockscreen widgets to be very useful so I want to know before I try it.
EDIT: Nope, it does not. Not many changes to B125 I feel, but it does have better RAM management. Consistently around 400 mb even with games. But still, reverting to OMNI ROM....

Do i really need external sd card in order to perform local update to b132

first you need to flash stock recovery after that flash kitkat beta and after flash b132

Does it have an unlocked boot loader? That would be great

No - bootloader is locked.
You can unlock it by using the command in this thread

(If you're not used to fastboot, then you'll need to do some reading to get it set-up on your machine).

Guys I am on b111 but update fails every time... Do i need anything more than dload/update.APP... In manual for update i see some more files but i cant find them in zip ...Any help would be appritiated

I just updated to b132 from b125. It does seem faster than the previous one but battery drain is a bit higher.. Waiting to do more tests and I will come with new info. Besides that, I haven't seen any other signifiant changes..
Speed isn't what kills you.. the sudden stop does! Oh, and stupidity..

I have 24 hours with b132 and have to say it feels faster and smoother. at the beginning it seemed to drain the batter faster but I recalibrated the battery (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration) and it does seem that it is lasting longer than before (altough it's still too early to be sure).
I highly recommend it because it's notably better in performance.

I have been able to upgrade to b125 but not to b132... I cant really find whats the cause of update fail

Awesome. I'm going to pass the manual calibration of the battery and wait for it to calibrate the "natural" way because I don't want to root my phone any more.. I saw some stability issues after rooting.. I'll report after about 1 week of use

Seemed to be a bad download... Doenloaded again and it flashed ok ... But i would really like to see an update that will fix graphics performance which is UNACEPTABLE. I will change for s4 mini if huawei doesnt fix this soon.

P6 S - Extract Recovery image.

Hello forum friends.
I just receive my P6 S. A friend from Huawei imported it directly from China. How can I extract the original Recovery image? I need a backup before trying other ROM options.
Getting root with e-root application was simple, fast and flawless.
This new version is awesome so far it seems that the new version includes all the HW enhancements that were needed. It now works perfectly, no more overheating, faster and newer CPU. My version has dual SIM support, one is 3G up to HSPA+ and the other one is just for 2G. It includes a USB cable that you can use to connect an external USB hard drive or USB stick.
From SW perspective, it came with Android 4.2.2 JB, kernel 3.0.8, stock ROM was B127 with EMUI 2.0. As soon as I connected the device to the Internet it did an OTA update to version B128. Google Apps support is not complete, you can install Google play store from the included app store and use your Google account but it won't synchronize your contacts into the stock contacts app.

Do you have an UPDATE.APP ?

No I don't.
The phone is available for China. I can't access Huawei's chinese Web site from my country to download it.
If someone could access the Chinese Web side and post the stock ROM in this forum I would have the UPDATE.APP file.

There is a tool, called UPDATE.APP extracter, you can extract recovery and all other partitions with it.

B507 KitKat update for P6-U6 [08.05.2014]

An update has been released, B507, for the P6-U06, and can be downloaded here: P6-U06 Android 4.4 Emotion UI V100R001C17B507
The download button is on the right, right below where it shows the size of the firmware.
It seems to be a little bit snappier than B506, but that could just be placebo. It fixes the bug of the phone and messages that shows the contacts' locations in Chinese.
Also, in B506, when changing the locale and region in build.prop to anything other than "zh" and "CN" you weren't able to delete your call logs, or even view your call information in the dialer. This has been fixed in B507

I'm confused
EMUI 2.0 was released in April or March not in May for the Chinese P6 U06? And somebody said it will be released on 22 or 23 of May cause he asked somebody at the Huawei conference in Paris.

as it's said before the international p6 emui 2.0 may be released at the end of May or in June and the dates are only for marketing purposes but with the old kernel it really doesn't make any difference for us... even p7 is running the old kernel shame u Huawei

Within 2 weeks and international version kitkat for p6 will be out. Info by the Huawei team from paris.

I know , I'm just asking if somewhere zip version to flash not lengthy with stock recovery .

Just a bit more feedback on B507...
Last night I went to bed with my battery at 17%, and when I woke up this morning, it was STILL on 17%!! On B506 my battery would most likely have been on 5%, or completely dead! I'm very, VERY impressed! :highfive:
Also, I've mentioned in the other thread that the dialer does not show Chinese characters, but unfortunately, the messages app still does. Oh, and I've changed my build.prop locale and region to "en" and "GB", just in case anyone is wondering.
I'd still love to be able to get the online themes, fonts, and wallpapers working properly, but I don't know how to fix that. Anyway, it's not a major issue, and I've gotten used to there not being a cursor in all the apps, lol, but it still bothers me just a little. :silly:

b507 cause a good impression for me too...as can i see you are doing a good job testing b507 ..my only problem with b506 and b507 notifications of whatsapp an facebook dont come only after enter the app ..can you help me ? any more with this problem? thanks and sorry for my poor english:good:

Hi! There are some problems with update from B506 by surdu to B507. After downloaded and putting the Update.app into folder "dload" I turn off the device and press all 3 buttons, updating process was began and after checking module verlist I see the message that Huawei SD Card update fail. Any ideas? What I did wrong?

Go in the phone manager and make sure both apps are allowed to run in background search for the option.

Yeah. Although that was on a different update. I believe they have issues with OTA updates.

I just let it install through the recovery and it is now stuck in the Elephone logo while booting! FML

And the only "news" in this ROM update is that they've changed default launcher to a spyware/trojan included x-launcher, complete b*ll**** nonsense from Elephone dev.

I don't use SIM 2 so it won't affect me. But I've seen they mentioned some IMEI issues that causes this problem with some SIM cards.
They also mentioned some issues with the launcher they use (spam, adverts etc). Do you have these issues as well?

I've always used the nova launcher without issues. Before I upgraded today sim 2 was working fine. I bought this phone for dual sim and now it doesn't work

Check if your IMEI is ok.

I had the exact same problem after ota update (stuck at bootimage)...
I precisly followed this guide: bbs.elephone.hk/thread-1037-1-1.html#.VfpyK7P7vtS and it works again.
With this Firmware version i could use ota without breaking my device. I think OTA just didn't work for the 07/09 firmware version I had on my phone.

Go to your Settings->About Phone->Status->IMEI information
There you can see the IMEI for each SIM slot. If it's messed up for a one slot I guess that's the reason a SIM card won't work.
For example there a 15 digit number for Slot 1 and 2 and then a 2 digit number for SV for each slot.
FYI, I never use the 2nd slot so I'm not sure if it's working or not.
Hope this clarifies at least something for you and you'll be able to fix your phone.

The update is not buggy for me. Everything seems to be working fine (2 SIMs etc). No problems so far. As for the launcher I always use Nova myself so I don't know what the problem is with the new one. Aesthetically though it is a lot better than it was, because it resembles stock (it has app drawer etc).
Just don't install OTA

Yeah, I had to follow the guide on how to flash the device since the OTA soft-bricked the phone. It was a bit of a hassle doing so in Windows 10 but it is doable

I'm trying to do mine on Windows 8.1 but i have some issues with the driver. Got any tips?
I'm installing the driver but I get some errors at the end of the installation. Then I connect my phone, in the device manager i get the driver name there for a few secs and then it goes away.

+1 I am skeptical also. Even skipping a generation of phones doesn't grant a 5x faster experience. Perhaps we can see some comparisons of a bone stock S7 and one loaded with your rom showing this 5x increase?

the coder removed 5x animation on Touchwiz even if you turn of animations you still have 5x animation but you wont see it, we removed that. that there is no animation anymore. even if you turn them of

Themes FC's. I installed it in Aroma. Also for some reason my computer doesn't see my phone.

I get instant FAIL in Odin by flashing the posted Bootloader and Modem
tried 2 times, i think the problem is that these are for SM-G935 not for SM-G930
is there BL and CP for 930F?

Great to see compact ROM. But you have to mention the modem and bootloader are for edge version, but your thread is in the S7 version forum.

I think you can get the modem and bootloader from the Superman Rom thread. the last for the 1,6 rom ist the same base like this rom here.

King rom also has them for the 930

Clean flashed 1.1,chrome force closes all the time, and said google play service has stopped. Anyone?
