AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.

I just install this ROM...and its working great. I will tell you about the baterry un some days

Need to know if battery life (SOT) is better than cm13. Also, if loss of mobile data when the screen is off (which affects getting push notifications when screen is off) is STILL a problem on this rom? Ive used stock huawei rom as well cm13, both give me the same probs. Tq for replies and dev!

For the battery the best rom is the XenonHD, the aokp also lasts a lot. I have no problem notifying with aokp or any nougat roms.

Boot to TWRP. Wipe cache, dalvik cache, system, data for bug free experience

Just posted this because this is the fist rom I made for oneplus and people who want can download. I will be adding custom features to tipsy later on.. I am not yet finished with this thread. For me, Internet is slow. Took a long time to upload.. Next i will post screenshots.

If you're having issues and want to submit a report (Logcat) please make sure you are reporting from the stock kernel, not a modified kernel. Modified kernels can break or fix, even improve things. It depends. I can't get a full clue of the issue when you're not running the original kernel.

EDIT: I went ahead and clean flashed it from stock. Stuck at the 5 bouncing colored dots. I'm encrypted. Guess it does not work on encrypted cheeseburgers. :'(

No this doesn't work on encrypted devices. I just checked it myself.

I'll investigate this, in the mean time if someone is running unencrypted, I will appreciate feedback as well

Does not boot on unencrypted either (doesn't reach boot animation). Tried on 4.5.6 and 4.5.8 firmware.

No. This is not booting in encrypted, nor on decrypted phones it seems.

and the rom has some chinese apps which you can remove via twrp and with root
and the rom is not pre rooted so you can flash magisk or supersu it will work
and dont report xposed problems here and even if you do it will be ignored

What kernel does this ROM use?
If it is Oxygen Kernel then the deep sleep issue is coming from there. This is also occurring on Havoc OS and crDroid
