Since updating to mm firmware..I've used all mm roms on here with full wipe.. I constantly get internet stalling on all browsers and random Wi-Fi and data disconnects ..never encountered anything so frustrating..
For example I'll type apple in browser search it loads 5% stalls then internet disconnects and have to re search apples.. Wi-Fi icon shows disconnect and mobile data doesn't kick in..I have attempted on different Wi-Fi and it's still the same..there seems to be an internet loading/ Wi-Fi and data disconnect Issue for me on mm firmware.. anyone else experienced this phenomenon??
More info.. wind mobile Canada..believe I have att variant..which wind sells in Canada..
Slow Wi-Fi and disconnects..should hand over failing Wi-Fi..to mobile data network right??but just stalls and disconnects when loading pages..constantly..
Which rom are you on now?
Does it jump to and fro on wifi data or is it a flatout disconnect and you have to manually reconnect?
Does the data stay disconnected outside of wifi range or is that bouncing on/off too?
Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
I'm on leedroid now but it's the same on all roms..it disconnects then auto reconnects Wi-Fi and mobile data doesn't kick in to load the page. I believe data must be disconnecting too or else it would kick in a load the page but pages only finish loading after the Wi-Fi reconnects
Leedroid. There's your problem!.
There has been known wifi issues on leedroid. I recommend flashing the rom twice and do not restore wifi settings if possible.
As for data connection you should be prompted at the setup to select your carrier which in turn selects the correct apn. You need your simcard in at this point as it uses the sim to determine the carrier settings.

Lee droid.. not the problem..does this on all roms so far as previously mentioned..except one I hAdn't tried. And will tomorrow. Arhd. My apn is set correctly.
Did you restore the settings from an app like titanium backup or the likes?

try to Flash the dev Edition Firmware twice and try it again. since you are on att you should have no Problem fashing the dev Edition, as Long as the cid is the proper one for dev edition
Seemed to have fixed it..
Mobile data--network operators-- clicked wind home network..it registered on the network again and seems to be fixed ATM..will update if not..possibly it altered somethig..thanks
Not fixed tried more roms..Wi-Fi and data keep auto disconnecting..maybe try reflashing 3.35.401 firmware? as its not a rom issue

be sure that you Flash it a second time, as the first one does not update all partitions

So I have no idea how this came to happen but i am currently having issues with my phones wifi. Each time i turn on the phones WIFI and connect to any network it kills both the 3G data and the WIFI data, making it so i have to reflash a new rom to use data again. Another issue is that when i turn off my screen if i am connected to the wifi it will not turn the screen back on unless I do a battery pull. Lastly if i go into settings to try to turn off WIFI i get a force close and have to reflash to get my phone running again.
Things I've tried
1.Flashed New Rom
2. Flashed New Radios and Kernels
3.Connected to multiple wifi hotspots
4. Used a RUU to reset to factory settings
5. Root and Unroot
6. Tried new SD card and Battery
Do me a favor and take a screenshot of your "about phone" information. Also, which recovery are you using? When did all of this start? Now when connected to a wifi network, it temporarily disconnects your 3G data. That is normal. You also stated that it disconnects your wifi data. Please explain?

When i connect to wifi it makes it so no data works. Ill post a screenshot of my phone. If i connect to any wifi hotspot and try to connect to the internet nothing connects it fails everytime no matter if it use 3g or wifi after that until i reflash my rom
You don't, by chance, have an adblocker built into the rom you're using, do you?
posting & replying via the XDA Premium app.
I was using CM7
I have tried almost every rom and even used the RUU from sprint to bring it back to default and rerooted it,i'm using hardware 002 and wondering if its possible i messed up my wifi when i used the 802.11n patch a while back also do you think flashing someone elses nanroid could fix it?
Also when i hit wifi it will get stuck saying turning on and wont allow me to do anything on the phone until it is reset
I do not recommend flashing a nandroid from another device, however, I do recommend flashing a different kernel. Kernels can have an effect on wifi, the camera and other things.

i flashed a few different kernels
Well, you may have to call Sprint and have them troubleshoot from their end.

Yesterday I upgraded my Galaxy W to CM11-20140122 as per the instructions on the developer section of this site. Everything went smoothly and I connected the phone to my home wifi and update and reinstalled all my apps. No problems. Thismorning though, I'm experiencing wifi and data over network connection issues. For some reason, although I can see the wifi networks and I'm notified that there are networks available, I cannot connect to them - even though I could previously! The same thing happens with my mobile network - the network is connected and I can make calls and send texts but I persistently get 'No service' and no data connection.
If anyone has any ideas how I fix this I'd appreciate it? Is anyone else is having the same kind of issues? I was thinking of upgrading to kernel 3.4.80 to see if that solved anything...
ok, so after three hours sat within range of the wifi, suddenly the phone has decide to connect to it (as I wrote the above post - maybe its feeling threatened! ). I wonder if this is going to be persistent behavior or wether it was a 1-off.

Interestingly, my wifi seems ok now, but I'm still not getting any packet-data connection. After a recent phonecall I got the message 'No Sim or Sim Error' (although it let me make the call). Then I look at the details under 'About Phone' and 'Status' I get the IMEI number, it lists my phone number as unknown and Mobile Network State as Disconnected. Interestingly, it doesn't seem to be connected to the right network either. I wonder if the packet thing is actually and issue with reading the sim-card?
fix
How did you install the rom ??
I think restarting the phone after switching to 2g fixes the issue
it only happens on wrong recovery options (dirty flash)
use this "clean to install a new rom"

I followed the instructions from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588495 to install the rom. I used Odin 4.43 to install ancora.ops, then factory reset and cache wipe, then flashed the rom, then reboot (basically). I don't think there was anything wrong with the flashing process, it all seemed to go smoothly...
How do I 'switch to 2g'? do you mean select my preferred network as 2g?
OK, so I flashed the kernal to 3.4.80 and everything went smoothly. Wireless has been behaving (and was before the update), but I am still getting 'No Service' on my mobile connection. I tried setting my preferred network connection to 2G and that hasn't helped. I can probably live with it if wifi is working, but it is a bit annoying... I guess I could try the 'clean install' link.
Have this problem on DarkCM rom too
So this is my first post ever, as I usually learn everything I need to know from reading and searching this is one I can't seem to find
The problem is Im running the super g2 zvc rom I am trying to usethe native hotspot as it says it works after the flash it worked great for netflix i rebooted the device and now it shows my ps3 connected but wont give me any internet connection, anyone know a fix for this?

Worked like a charm thanks a lot!!!!!
Same issue with hotspot using super g2 rom.
I tried updating PRL but my data still goes on and OFF. Is there another hotspot mod I can use with this rom? Any help would be appreciated.
As a bump to this thread, and to keep the forums tidy, I, too, am having issues with SuperG2
I flashed it and it worked beautifully but I was unable to get any data service. I tried updating PRL/Profile but that would not work. Kept giving me a network error.
That being said, I finally got data to work (beyond me, not sure how this happened but I did NOT get PRL/Profile to update) and was using it merrily until I began to restore some files I had backed up via Titanium.
I rebooted to get the data from these files to run smoothly but after a reboot I lost all connection. It told me that my service was disabled.
I reflashed the ROM but am back to square one - unable to updated my PRL/Profile and cannot get any data, even tho the LTE logo is at the top and spinning. WiFi tethering works and I can access the internet in this way, but not in any other way.
I am being forced to go back to stock =(
Any help would be appreciated.

Connect to wifi then update the profile and prl (can be done at home if you have wifi, or mcdonalds, or starbuck, or anywhere that has open wifi)
Similar Issue
Running SuperG2, comming from Milestone1. I cannot seem to get the WiFi tether to work on SuperG2. It worked great on Milestone1. I tried the update PRL while Wifi tether is active but to no avail. I'm not sure if it's related but my signal kinda sucks too. Where I normally get 4g now I only get 3g with sparatic 4g and I also loose my signal altogether at times. I have to activate airplane mode and then deactivate it to get my signal back. I would go back to Milestone1 but SuperG2 is the frontline. Need to keep moving forward. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
So the problem I'm having with my G3 is that the Network either drops and comes back repeatedly or completely drops and does not return. This only happens on 4G. When I go into network settings and change network mode to 3G it works fine and I get a constant signal all the time.
I have been using Fulmics ROM and I thought maybe that was the issue. But it wasn't.
I tried 3 different sims from three different carriers (Three, EE, O2) on several stock firmwares. (20N, 21C, 30A, 30F).
Each scenario is the same; network drops when phone is on 4G network mode, but its fine on 3G mode.
However, I have noticed that if I leave Wifi OFF allowing 4G data to connect first, then its fine. I can even turn Wifi ON again and the network is stable. I can even turn Wifi and Data OFF and the network is still stable.
But, if I toggle aeroplane mode, where Wifi connects first or where Wifi and Data is turned OFF; I am back to the network dropping.
Also, I live in London UK so there should not be any signal issues. Can anyone tell me why this is happening. I doubt it's software issue as I've tried several firmwares.
Any help is appreciated.
Mate I'm afraid there is a high possibility it's the Fulmics ROM.. I'm still trying to read up on the issue myslef, there's a ton of reports in the Fulmics thread and around.

I'm using an UK bought LG G3 as well (from Three) and started experiencing similiar issues after I flashed Fulmics. Even tried rolling back to 4.4.2 using a .tot file but didn't really help me.
Still scouring all around trying to find how to fix the issue..

Hmmm looking back now this issue did start when I first installed fulmics 3.5. But shouldn't everything revert back to stock when you reinstall stock firmware.

That's what I thought but I guess it's a little bit more tricky.
Anyways I think I managed to restore some kind of stability in the signal, still unsure about the process though. Seems that different stuff are working for different people. In a few days I hope to have some information to give you how to fix it.
In the meantime try checking the Fulmics thread for ideas and suggestions (that's where I start off from).

Yeah let me know when you find a fix. Really appreciate the help.
One thing that is sort of a temporary fix for me, works on Three, EE and O2 (only ones i tried), is connecting Data first when on 4G mode.
So if I toggle airplane mode and if Wifi connects first then the network drops or keeps refreshing.
But, if I leave Wifi OFF and Data establishes a connection; the network is stable and I can then turn Wifi On again and the network will remain stable.
I just have to make sure the network does not lose connection (i.e. tunnel or airplane mode), and if it does ensure Data connects first.
Also, another thing. After I reinstalled Fulmic 5.3 it seems 4G mode is sort of stable. As in when on 4G mode instead of dropping the network it connects via 3G automatically. But this only happens with Three.

Okay here is what worked for me - open this guide and download the Three specifiic Lollipop and Marshmallow .kdz files.
Flash the stock Marshmallow firmware first using the LG Flash Tool method. Your phone probably won't automatically get recognized since you're running Fulmics now so you'll need to change the COM port as described in post #
After that downgrade to stock Lollipop using the LGUP method. Personally I downloaded more updated (I think, not sure) files from here.
Then I proceeded to re-root and clean install Fulmics 5.1 and the 5.2 and 5.3 OTA updates from recovery. Booted and network works without drops now with 4G connectivity.

I changed my carrier and got an automatic SMS with configuration for my phone and instructions to save it. I should've known something was fishy when I recieved the "congratulations for setting up" message even before I recieved the actual settings. Anyways 4G was running fine on my new carrier with 32 mbps speed which is okay, much better compared to the same carrier 3G network, however I only had 3 bars of connection so I gussed what the heck, I should save that configuration after all, it might make things better. What a bloody mistake. I lost 4G connectivity and my phone refused to connect to the 4G network, only 3G (just as you describe).
What worked for me in this scenario was wiping the cache and dalvik (not really sure this step is even necessary to be honest, but I was headed for a full rom re-wipe anyway and decided to try with this first), going into the hidden menu and choosing LTE only connectivity (Fulmics Tweaks -> Hidden Menu [or the hidden code for the phone app if you decided to stay on stock, which I dont have] -> Modem Protocol -> RAT Selection -> LTE only. At this step my phone got to the usual 3 to 4 bars of connectiviy but was displaying "Emergency mode only" and no data at all. I proceeded to Settings -> Networks -> More -> Mobile Networks -> Access point names -> Reset to default from the menu. If network mode doesn't change back to GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto automatically, change it back manually. At this point I had restored back my 4G connection and everything is working normally (30-32 mbps connection stationary in my house through a wifi hotspot next to my laptop).
Good luck, I would follow the steps as described just in case. I tried many reflashes before that should've worked but didn't for me. However different things work for different people, hope this works for you and please report back

I'd like to thank you so much for this information! I was having signal drop issue after installing Fulmics ROM. Tried to flash stock ROM but no success. After doing the downgrade via LGUP method to LP my phone is getting full signal again (at least I didn't notice any drop until now).
Thank you!

Sorry for the late reply.
I followed your instructions and unfortunately it didn't work. :crying:
I first tried with the D85520f you provided and then with an updated D85521C firmware. But nothing worked.
The temporary fix, which I found works, is to ensure 4G mobile data establishes a connection first before Wifi (turn Wifi OFF then ON after data established). Then there is no signal drop until I go through a tunnel or phone restarts (signal drops completely), which means again i have to ensure 4G mobile data establishes a connection before Wifi or else it'll go back to the constant signal dropping.
Guess I'll just stick with 3G at all times. I've spent too much time trying to correct this than actually finding enjoyment in using the phone.
Anyway really appreciate the time and effort you took to help with this annoying situation. :good::good::good:

I have tot back to stock and didn't help... not Kdz
Haven't downgraded yet to LP yet.
On turborom now.
Can I just flash this modem? Have a link to the 21c modem?
Flash in twrp or send via LG flash?
Recently i have entered some state in which mobile data is busted on my phone. I have tested multiple android pie roms to find the same thing in each. When i flash the latest stock android (PQ1A.181205.002), mobile data is fine. In this broken state i can see the signal bars with a little 'R' by them (notification on lost mobile data connection Data roaming is turned off. tap to turn on). Every time i navigate into Settings> Network & internet > Mobile Network > Advanced > Carrier Settings. The screen will flash and take me back to Mobile Network, this happens with every custom rom tested. The app SprintDM tries to set up the phone 5 times and then fails. Phone codes seem to have no effect. the code 4636 will allow me to view current info in which it says mobile data disconnected. It doesn't appear to matter if i connect to wifi and allow the basic stock apps to update first. Reboots do not help. I even tried flashing the modem and radio for PQ1A.181105.017.A1 and OPM4.171019.021.R1. I can also say the phone app shows a message "This device is not supported and phone calls may not work correctly". Phone calls work fine. Previously i was running LiquidRemix (10.0.2) just fine, everything working. Randomly mobile data died so i tried a update to LiquidRemix (10.0.3) and still busted. Tested multiple other PIE roms to find the same. And again if i flash any stock firmware mobile data is fine. Anyone else see this or have an idea of how to fix this for custom roms?
I rooted my pixel2xl yesterday and installed Havoc OS.
Today I was out with my family and was trying to navigate via Google maps and it continuously displayed error "try again"
Status bar was showing lte connection then I tried opening chrome and was unable to use mobile data even if it being on and active.
I am planning to move to Stock again tomorrow

vipulkarkar, did you find out any other additional info on this? I went back to stock and everything is fine but would very much rather be running a custom rom.
Just seeing this post, fortunately, I've not run into this issue on stock or custom roms ... What I do run into, on stock or custom roms, is when I leave my house, with a T-Mobile CellSpot, I tend to switch to 3G or H+ in an LTE area. I sometimes have to cycle airport mode a couple times to get LTE back.. So odd and annoying!
Is there something we Sprint users could do to help the devs include Sprint connectivity in their roms? Like provide a nandroid backup of our device or ?
