Anyone knows where I can find female audio port that fits to our Zenfone 2? I am able to solder it myself so this isn't gonna be problematic for me
Or maybe someone have broken zf2 so I can buy this port or even mainboard ( for a good price ofc )
Why I need new audio port?
After plugging headphones (tried few models, even stock ASUS one) one earphone doesnt work (right one if I remember), and this isn't software related problem 'cos reflashing stock rom doesn't fix anything!

I bought a Chinese phone called a k-touch hornet in v9 and I've been using it for about a week now. Got cm10 loaded on it and apart from the crappy battery life I'm loving it. One particular issue is going to cause me some trouble in future tho, and I'm hoping someone will have a solution better than mine.
The problem is that the pinout for the 3.5mm headset jack appears to be wired differently than I
US connectors. When using it with a US headset, the audio is garbled because one of the channels is grounded, until you hold the mic's button, then it sounds normal. Same effect using the k-touch headset on a US phone.
My conclusion is that the ground pin has been moved to one of the audio channels, and the mic moved to the ground.
I could rewire an extension cable to put the conductors where they're supposed to be, but I'm hoping someone might know where I can buy a pre-made adapter or maybe there is a Longshot chance i can modify the firmware to use the proper pinout.
Any thoughts at all are welcome!
Hello guys, I have an rooted Note N7100, with custom rom installed.
My problem is when i plug the headphones the sound gets corrupted, i have changed my rom because of it but its still going on.
I recently changed N7100's mainboard including the USB port, so technically everything is new except screen. I have tried lots of things but they didnt work. I think I just broke (or damaged) headphone jack on mainboard.
Thanks.

Try another headphone if that didn't fix the sound, then you will have to change the headset jack, no other workaround.
Not everything new actually work.
i hade a problem like yours but it was bad grounding ( two boards was not connecting to each other ) tighten the screw next to the camera and press by your fingers tight next to the camera over the screw
I just received the new headphone jack and changed it with the old one but.. that didnt solved my problem.

What rom are you using??
Sometimes the rom sources are same and same problem can exist in both roms
Also have you tried cleaning your phone's headphone jack?

The problem is about the sound chip, I think.
Because;
I have changed the headphone jack, didn't solve my problem,
Changed two roms which didn't solve my problem,
Tried sound tweaks and stuff, didn't solve my problem.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP :good:
Hello everybody,
I have a problem with the jack.. ( OnePlus 3 OxygenOS 5.0.1 )
Earlier functioned jack normally, but now when I plug my headphones, it only plays left earpiece
And when i plug stereo jack from my home theather , jack working NOT. I tried more stereo jacks and headsets and same issue.
Solution ?
1/ Other ROM
2/ Jack is broken - buy new jack flex board from ebay, ali and replace it
3/ Phone is in warranty, write on support.
4/ Someone reduction
Do you have any solutions ?
Thank you.
Either every cable in your home is faulty or your jack is broken. First check if there is something stuck in there somewhere (dirt? a little pocket dirt thingy the ones that look like tiny balls I don't know what they're called) then if there is nothing you should consider sending the device to OnePlus to get a replacement or a repair (probably a repair). You could try to do it yourself and it's very easy to do but I wouldn't recommend it because it's very easy to damage other things while trying to fix a thing.

As the other member pointed out, it may be a simple matter of lint inside the jack. Blow air forcefully and try to remove it. If it doesn't solve the problem, I would not advice opening it since the phone is under warranty. Contact OP3 for RMA.
Hello guys,
I was a happy owner of a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera (aka Redmi Note 5 pro) for the past year, until now, when inexplicably my headphone jack stopped working (I should notice I'm usually extremely careful with my phone and nothing happened that justifies this besides normal use). I tested the headphones on other sources and they work perfectly.
My phone carrier refused to fix it with the warranty and demands an absurd fix price. I thought about ordering the connector board but I'm afraid that those 3rd party boards are just bad quality and will not last long (tried to do it on my Redmi Note 2 and two of the replacement boards broke soon after use...).
I might also ask those nonofficial repair shops but again I'm afraid that the end result will be worse than it is now...
So my question is: if I buy a USB DAC (in this case I'm thinking about the 20€ Sound Blaster PLAY!3), and connect it to the phone micro-USB port with an OTG cable will it work? Because this would be cheaper than actually fixing the headphone jack.
Also, I heard that on some software it might not work, I would buy it with the intent of using it for Spotify, Youtube and Neftlix.
Ps: I actually have a really good pair of headphones from Audio Technica so actually the sound quality boost would be welcome...
Thank you for your attention, Cheers
DACs are working fine for me Soundblaster G5 and G3 tho you can't control them like you can on PC. G3 is useless cause can't adjust gain and default is not loud enough... EQ on viper is working fine.
It's probably better to just buy a replacement board, I replaced my battery and it's just fine. It's possible that they have same sources for those boards as do sellers in AliExpress etc.
