Hello!
I have a big problem with my new LG G4 and i hope xda can help my. I have update to Android 6.0, unlocked the bootloader, and installed TWRP. This has everything works. Then i installed SuperSU with TWRP and now the phone will not boot. When I start the phone, then I only see the LG logo and is in the top left: "Bootloader state: bootloader unlocked (please look this screenshot: postimg.org/image/qzumppnb9). I can not in the recovery with the Power-Button and Volume +. And i can not connect with ADB/Fastboot. If i run a command in the console, than is wrtitten: "waiting for device"... And the Software "WinDroid" says: "Offline". After checking device: "No device found".
How can i connect to fastboot again and install a new rom or similar?
Please help me, what can i do? :crying:
Strange that i do not get help in this large forum. Regardless, it have found a solution.
For all people with the same problem:
You can access the recovery with the following key combination:
Power off your Phone
Press Volume DOWN + Power and hold this until you can see the LG-Logo
Then release only the power button for 1 second and press again until you can see the reset menu from the phone
Now confirm everything with YES and you can see the recovery
Then i installed this version of SuperSU (download.chainfire.eu/896/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.66-20160103015024.zip?retrieve_file=1) from the external SD card and Android is restarted!!

Hello guys,
I am experiencing a hard issue with my GPad. I have the V500 model (bought in France), I have unlocked it, and rooted it (everything was fine).
I decided to install CM ROM, so I have installed TWRP using the loki method, booted in recovery, formatted everything except the external SD card (the CM ROM zip file was in it).
The installation of the CM ROM failed, it showed an error. So I decided to reboot the tablet but I am now stuck on the LG logo, nothing boots. When I decide to enter Recovery mode (without USB cable plugged), it shows the screen OpenRecoveryScript, and then the tablet restarts. I can't access the main menu (see pic 1).
The only thing I have managed to do is to access the tablet via ADB. Unfortunately I don't seem to have root access...and it shows an error message (see pic 2)
I have tried lots of things these past 2 days to try and restore the system but I feel really lost now !! :crying:
Would you mind helping me with my issue ?
Thank you very much in advance!
Follow the instructions in this thread to flash the stock ROM. The only difference is that the button sequence to enter Download Mode on the G Pad is to hold volume up and volume down (not just volume up) while plugging in the USB cable.
First off you didn't read. Second off you have the wrong recovery version installed. You need 2.6.3.1 to flash CM
Thank you coleam, I will try this method and give you an update!
Hope it'll work..!

Hi I use a LG G3 and flashed a zip that was not designed for my phone (Validus-shamu-5.0.1.alpha.1.0-TEST-20141217-2151.zip) by a accident and rebooted, and now my phone has a black screen and the led is flashing red and blue (and said error: boot certification verify prior to that stage). How can I fix it?
Additional info: I was using the latest TWRP recovery, and own a d852 variant.
Any input would be appreciated! This is my only phone and I would like to resolve this as soon as I can.
UPDATE: i tried pressing power + up and now nothing reacts, even when i press other buttons. black screen. no LED.
UPDATE2: I removed the battery and put it back in, and now LED are back.
EDIT: FIXED. CLOSE THREAD PLEASE. got my solution from: "What you have to is power + vol down while off till you see the LG logo, then release then immediately press them again it should bring you to a factory reset screen select yes and you will boot into recovery." if people are interested.
I need help as well

Mate, thank you a lot, you just saved my life.
I can't even express how thankful I am because my device almost got bricked and you just saved me. Thanks a lot !
It means not fully load.
Try to install the AUTORECAR in the Play Store.
Lol. The same thing happened to me on LG-D855. I flashed the TWRP recovery zip and new my phone is literally unusable. It doesn't boot into recovery or into anything else. Sigh.
Hi
I have LG G3 of AT&T that says D850.
I tried flashing it with a custom rom and after i restarted, it keep going into FASTBOOT mode and i couldnt open the phone.
I tried FlasTool to goto stock rom but it kept saying that the device model mismatched with the rom (i downloaded the ATT D850 dll and TOT).
After that i tried erasing the recovery, aboot, laf through fastboot. Just after i erased it my battery went out and phone goes off.
Now i cannot even turn on my phone. it show no screen at all.
However if i connect the USB, my pc detect something as a removeable device on computer.
Is there any way i can unbrick it?
Take battery off for few secs and put it back. Press power button and volume down at same time. When lg logo appears release and press again. You'll see white page with warnings. press 2x yes and you are now in twrp recovery mode.
Try factory reset. If doesn't help try install any rom from sd card or ext card.

There is nothing appearing by pressing the power button.
After I erased boot, recovery from fastboot, the LG logo stops appearing and phone is behaving like its not even starting up.
Even in flashtool, it doesn't show any model number or imei now.
Earlier if was showing as D8559

I tried both but flashtool is not recognizing my device, it shows no imei and pid.
Plus my device is d850 but it shows the error that device model is mismatched with the files however I downloaded the d850 files.
Dude you hard bricked it. I fell into the same exact situation. Came to flash stock but faulty win8 drivers caused my flash to fail at 14%...and everything went horribly wrong.
you can see a reply i wrote earlier that can help you:

BUT both links in the reply are to fixing a hardbrick for international D855 models and i am not sure if they will work with you.
Honestly your phone is not dead. There is many ways to fix it...if not now then eventually. You can find many threads with the same problem. Honestly i was sick to my stomach when it happened to me...you must be patient and make sure you read everything carefully before doing anything and I'm sorry this happened to you
Good luck!
Hello Guys
After doing deep search on this forum and try several unsuccessful solutions (recover mode, fast boot...). I decide to create new thread.
Symptom : A boot loop on Android Upgrade (There are 7 updates to apply).
I think, I know the cause but every solution found on this forum didn't succeed.
I tried to access recevey mode ( Power+Up, then release up ). --> When I release Up after vibration, I don't enter into recovery mode.
I tried to access my phone through fastboot or adb but, I have following message : "Wait for device". No detection so
Here is what I have done to be in this situation :
I've rooted my phone (thanks to forum explanations) --> No Problem
Installed this bull**** app "App Master" to freeze or put bloatware into trash (recoverable)
Everything was ok, since I noticed "Asus Start Manager" needed to update but was not compatible with my device. Strange isn'it.
So I've undertaken to restore frozen and removed app from app master. It asked me to restart and then, my 7 restored app seems to involve a big mess.
And now I can't Boot. NOte that android upgrade wants to suprisingly update 7 optimisations.
My next idea is to acces directly internal storage to remove 7 apk provoking boot loop.
Do you have better idea because if I remove internal storage, wararnty will be canceled and in addition I have no guaranty I'll able to read it.:crying:
Further more I hesitate to send it to vender since my device is rooted. They will answer it's my fault, and it's true sic !
As you understand I 'm quite desperate . IF someone can help me I'd be so grateful.
Thanks everybody and sorry for my english

Unfortunatly no.
bouhhh !!
Try to see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/unbricking-research-unbricking-method-t3162848
Ok i'll try it after work this evening.
I have nothing to loose so....
can u let me know. I failed with it.
U should have been able to access the boot loader at least.
while pressing and holding the volume up button , press and hold the power button until the set vibrates.
just when u feel the vibration RELEASE THE POWER BUTTON, NOT THE VOLUME UP BUTTON, 9as u have mentioned the oppssite in the first post) then it should go to boot loader menu.
I have a similar problem with ZF2. I access recovery mode by pressing the down arrow key and then the power button but the phone just reboots into recovery mode again. No dead android logo appears as others have suggested.
Try that : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3191244
Do volume up + power, once it vibrates press volume down rapidly about 3 times. Wait for a minute or two while on the Asus screen. Sometimes it will boot into recovery or it will vibrate and stay stuck. It worked for me.
A workaround
Hello Guys !
I've posted a workaround to my problem but I don't understand why it doesn't appear. I certainly made a mistake something.
Here is what I remember:
I tried several procedure described on asus-zenfone.com I finally found a soft which unlocked my recovery mode.
But finally it was maybe the fact to connect my device with usb which unlocked It (sorry I don't remember)
Once recovery menu was available, I downloaded official rom, copied it on an sdcard and installed it.
Good news, most of bloatware were desactivable !
Now, I have a device rid of the unworthy softs with an offical ROM.
In such situations I usually disassemble the phone and disconnect the power train of a few minutes. After that it booted recovery/bootloader.

I am able to access bootloader . But when i choose recovery mode, the phone enters into a boot loop.
. Here is what i have done:
1. My device was already rooted.
2. Tried to install twrp custom rom using usb adb commands
3. It showed successful. I fast booted into my device. Switched it off and entered boot mode again. then selected Recovery. But I was never able to enter into recovery (The Robot with error was not at all displaying).
4. Then i searched google and found my boot loader was locked. I unlocked bootloader using
https://dl.xda-developers.com/3/4/0....zip?key=dEgXp67KVlqwn4BL-w1kWw&ts=1505837086
5. Now my flash screen is in white background. I can enter boot loader.
6. Then again i installed twrp via adb and selected recovery mode. But when i choose recovery, the phone goes into boot loop.
Please help.. One doubt: MY Phone is ASUS ZENFONE 2 Z00AD.
Hi, I'm having a major problem getting into recovery via the power-on+vol-down key combination on MM (20A/20B) - under no circumstances can I get into recovery from cold boot - I can reboot into TWRP recovery when the phone's booted, but recently I've had a couple of bootloops which never enter the OS and so I'm stuffed - both times all I could do is use LGUP to reflash 20B kdz and then re-root etc etc. I'm assuming under MM the key sequence has changed, or is it because I have an unlocked bootloader the sequence is different? I've owned a G2 and G3 and know the "normal" sequence of hold power+vol-down, wait for the LG logo and release then power+vol-down again, but this doesn't seem to work on a Marshmallow G4 (I've tried 100 times with different wait periods on the release etc)....
Its a real PITA not being able to cold boot into TWRP/recovery so can someone advise what the sequence now is (and PLEASE don't reply to tell me its "hold power+vol-down, wait for the LG logo and release then power+vol-down again"!).
Thanks!
I have the same issue and I had been running into same situation to entirely reflash my phone in order to get it boot again. The key combination never worked for me while on 20B; really frustrating if you run into whatever problems requiring to recover through TWRP and not being able to do so.
key combination working me....
If not
adb reboot recovery
Or if phone rooted.

And it never came to your mind, that maybe the entry to recovery might be different to an LG G3 or G2?
The way to enter recovery is:
Hold Vol- and Power until LG Logo appears
Release ONLY Power button for 1 sec
Then press it again and hold it
Recovery entered
I guess google can save lifes And nerves!!!!
Cheers bro
EDIT: Btw this has nothing to do with Marshmallow, Lollipop etc. It's the usual way to enter recovery on a G4 And I didn't read the OP entirely. It seems like you just had the wrong sequence. This one works for me on Masrhmallow 20B!

Thanks... It did occur to me it might be different (which in the end is why I posted here!)... and I had googled, and the sequence is so stupidly close to the G2/G3 sequence its easy to see now the error of my ways (why the h*ll did LG have to change one key in the sequence)!
Thanks for the quick response Bro

You're very welcome! I have to admit, that it's really stupid to change it slightly from model to model, yeah
I had to google it myself and needed several attempts to get it right. But now we both know and we can enter recovery whenever we want :good: Merry Christmas and a happy new year bro

Thanks for your heads-up. Unfortunately if i try this combination a screen appears "Factory data reset" asking "No (Exit)" or "Yes".
Now I would assume if I enter "Yes" it would boot into recovery, but I am not sure whether this will completely wipe my phone.
Can anyone confirm that I´m on the right path here?

Hold on. There are 2 options. If you installed recovery properly (I bet you did), indeed, clicking on "yes" will boot you into recovery. If you're a monkey, just like I was, and DIDN'T install recovery properly, yes, it will just wipe your data.
But that's the usual way to hardware-button-boot into recovery
How did you install it? There's an easy way to check if everything is set up correctly. Use this app to boot into your recovery from within android.
If it boots you into recovery then everything is set up straight and you can boot into recovery with hardware buttons a 100% by clicking "yes" and "yes" in the "stock" recovery.
EDIT: I know that's an awkward way, but it's the right 1 Cheers

EDIT: I know that's an awkward way, but it's the right 1 Cheers
