Just wondering if there is any way to change the lock screen clock/weather icon, as i've found one that i like much better.

its the same as your main one - not seperate
Yeah I was quite disappointed with that, I liked having the 2 different ones on my Hero, especially as the type of image you would use for the 2 types would be quite different. On my lock screen I had a nice detailed portrait picture which fitted perfectly to the area that would be displayed on the lock screen and then for the main wallpaper had quite a plain one that looked good when spread over the home screens and didn't interfere with the visibility of the icons.
Now it means I either have to choose to have a wallpaper which has quite a "busy" center meaning it will interfere with icon visibility or I have a plain one which looks boring on the lock screen.
HMPH!
hmmm, that's a shame...
even hero supports to set wallpapers separately

I am also very disappointed that it is not possible to set a different wallpaper for the lock screen. On the Legend it is possible. I like to have a family picture as lock screen background but that is too loaded as wallpaper for the home screen with all the widgets on top of it. In the FAQ for scenes on the HTC support page it is written that it is possible to change the lock screen wallpaper. I have already dropped a ticket at HTC customer service. Even if they don't fix it I still hope that there will be an app soon to make it possible. I already tried Lockbot pro which looks nice but then there are only buttons to take a cal - no sliding. Very sad.
I'm over the water-like Nature UX Samsung lockscreen crap, and I want to change it to another lockscreen.
But when I've downloaded apps to do it, they're all half assed and either able to get past by just pressing the home button, or it'll have both the Samsung lockscreen AND the downloaded lockscreen.
I just want a lockscreen more like the vanilla 4.2 lockscreen.
Use simplistic framework mod. .it has inbuilt jellybean lock screen
Or use widget locker from play store
scribbled from "the phab" (the note 2 -N7100)
Try turning off the ripple effect in the lock screen settings and see if that suits you.
I hated the water thing too. Lol

Are you rooted?
Youll find it easier with root.
Hey XDA,
Does anyone know of any custom lockscreens that work with the finger scanner built into the note 4? I remember using custom lock screens such as widget locker on my old s3 and m8 but after unlocking my phone using widget locker, it just takes me to the screen where I would swipe my finger before, not allowing me to unlock my phone using the finger scanner and a custom lockscreen with only one screen.
Also, does anyone know of a way to get lockscreen widgets back? If I can't replace the bare lockscreen with a custom one filled with apps and widgets, why did samsung take away stock lock screen customization completely.
I really wish I could flash my problems away with a custom rom.
I use NILS to get notifications on the lockscreen along with the fingerprint unlock. I don't use any other widgets so it serves my needs so far.
Does anyone know how to get the dashclock widget app working on the Note 4? If not any suggestions on something similar.
Would love to know too but think we have to wait for lollipop and lock screen widgets. Samsung limped the note 4 lock screen with kitkat
Is there some way to remove or to replace accuweather widget on LOCK SCREEN? Accuweather for my location is extremely inaccurate, and I don't want to see false information on my lock screen

Click to collapse
Unfortunately there is absolutely no way to remove the widget. I wish there was though because I have gotten the weather app disabled and it just says "Weather unavailable" instead of nothing.
I'm sure you can find another lockscreen replacement if that's something you're thinking of doing if it bothers you that much :s
Very unprofessional from HTC (well, one of many of their unprofessional decisions) is to force us to use accuweather... I was using that app on all of my previous phones, and it was great, but in the last 6 months their forecast are totally wrong... they predicted sunny weather today, and when I wake up there was snow
You would have to use another lockscreen app.
