I received an email:

"Supported devices
With the latest software provided through our Flash tool for Xperia devices, recovery mode is available for Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia E3, Xperia M2, Xperia T2 Ultra, and Xperia T3 devices with unlocked boot loader. We are working to make recovery mode available for more devices in coming software releases."
The process is on the page, the question is, should we keep PhilZ?
Xposed for lollipop work for the Xperia M5 ? Thank's
I am looking for it too, I found a zip of xposed for GEL(?) but not usable until we get custom recovery.

You also need to be rooted+recovery if even available yet for this device and I think sony now use something called drm-verify in all 2015 onwards devices meaning root on locked Bootloader is almost impossible apparently and some older Xperia devices M2,t2u and c3 had a hidden problem with 5.1 the services.odex file was corrupted so deodexing and xposed were impossible on stock 5.1 firmware. Not sure if this problem with the firmware has been sorted out as Sony refuse to accept it exists in the first place
Root is reaady for M5, please check the other post. And somebody already applied xposed framework to his M5, I am trying to figure the way out with reference from the writer.

Good to know root is available but is it available without using kingroot though as I will not use it, it's upgrade time soon well July/August but it'll soon be here I'm hoping to choose between the m5,z5c or x if available to replace my trusty M2 also depends on how much development there is for each device
For the moment, only KingRoot reported working on M5, I am not sure KingoRoot as I never try it by myself and only one KingoRoot user posted here in the forum.
Regarding the selection between M5 and Z5C, Sony put more efforts on Z series than others in my region, maybe yours different, just for your reference.
