You need to give more information. What exactly can't you do? What steps have you tried and what steps can't you do? Screen shots of the errors you are getting?
I'm a little surprised...you've been able to do the first part of Toast's root hack, but now when attempting the second part (unlocking NAND), you're unable to do anything with ADB? How can this be, when the first part of Toast's root method requires you to use a couple of ADB commands? What have you done since then that might have caused this to happen??
If you're experiencing problems, you should; 1) Download the latest the Android SDK and delete the old one, 2) Check your cable, and 3) Make sure the drivers are detecting the phone properly.
i used the unrevoked method
I have never used adb

I need to carrier unlock my OGP. I have a factory code from ATT. My phone is rooted and running Cyanogenmod 11, which is how I bought it. Now, for the life of me I don't know why anyone would root and flash a rom to a phone prior to unlocking it (for the buck or so that it costs), but thats another story. Anyway, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to take this phone back to stock in order to unlock it ( it will not unlock with the cyanogenmod on it). I've read the guides, etc, but nothing works. The phone absolutely will not connect tosh LG Support tool. Im running windows 8, the drivers are installed, the computer recognizes the phone, but the tool does not. None of the guides say if this method (LGST using options/ recovery requires the phone to be in download mode--in fact, nothing is mentioned about that).
I am completely stumped and would sooo appreciate some help. All I want to do is take it back to stock, then unlock it. I will then worry about rooting it and flashing roms again.
Thanks in advance for anyone who is willing to help a complete noob. That said, I have read the guides, tried the methods (although I think I may have an outdated link or tool or something) so anyone willing to help, please just don't point me to a link on this forum. I've been there, tried that, etc.

Hello guys I hope I can get some help.
I am all new to the mobile rooting and ROMs and stuff like that.
I am not a noon I know a lot about pc but never got much into this mobile tweaks.
Anyway I saw the cm12 ROM in this forum here and wanted to install it.
My phone was already rooted or unlocked when I bought it it has su manager installed so I think it is rooted and unlocked.
Even when I am at the fastboot menu it says UNLOCKED.
BUT still I am not sure if it is ready to try and install a rom.
So I tried to follow the guide on how to unlock the phone at this forum about HTC one v .
And I got stuck at step 9 I think where I had to go to fastboot mode and connect my microusb to the PC.
There I get the little bubble saying USB device not recognized so I can't continue to do anything with cmd.
So the question is .
Do I even need to do this or is my phone already rooted and unlocked with bootloader.
Is there a way to check this things.
Because I installed ROM manager and tried to install the cm12 ROM from the SD card but it doesn't work it aborts the process pretty quickly.
So I am completely stuck..
If you guys would be nice enough to post some links where I can find out if my device is rooted or not or unlocked or not and how to proceed it would be awesome.
I have searched for hours and tryed many things but nothing worked or I got stuck somewhere .
If someone could guide me through this process I would be really grateful .
Thank you

If the bootloader say unlocked, it is unlocked. You don't have to be rooted, as a root exploit only gives you root access to you current rom, most custom roms have root access by default.
Now reboot into fastboot menu, flash a custom recovery (For cm12 you need my twrp-recovery, because selinux support is needed), reboot into recovery, flash the rom-zip and reboot into fastboot again and flash the boot.img in the zip file.
If you need more help just search for a rom-installing guide here in the forum.
I need help installing TWRP on my device, and rooting it, i have tried multiple methods, like the useless no pc root tools, and programs, i have trying to root it for a while, but no luck. I have already posted a thread on this, but it didnt worked, or i didnt knew how to make it work. Here ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/asus-memopad-8-me581c-root-t3426666 ) is the thread i posted, with useful info that could help you to help me root it.
I´m really asking for a step by step tutorial or something, because i tried to use other tutorials but no luck.
alright so I honestly don't know if this has been tried already or not but I was doing some research just now and I found a site that says it can unlock the bootloader of a Samsung device it doesn't specify as to what Samsung device though but what it says is that you use a thing called Superboot basically you run a command prompt and use the Superboot command to unlock it (the bootloader) again I honestly don't know if this has been tested already or not but I just wanted to bring it to attention if it hasn't also if anybody wants the link to the tutorial I can post it so anyways the question is would it work? and has it been tested already or not? thanks for reading
