Has anyone else had any issues with the Play Store on their Fire TV? I updated the Play Store on mine to a newer version, mainly because every time I tried to download something I'd get stuck with that annoying spinning circle. Now when I go into, I get a message saying it can't connect to the Internet, even though the other apps on my Fire can. I'm even typing this on my Fire through Firefox, after being told by the Play Store there's no connection. Any help would be appreciated. I'm trying to download the game Implosion: Never Lose Hope, and I know I can get it through Aptoid, but the thing stops a little more than half way through giving me an error, forcing me to start it over again from the beginning. Thanks in advance.
Bump, bumpity, bump. Am I the only one who's experienced this? For a while, the Play Store was already acting funky, taking forever to start a download, if it did. At least then it connected, but now I get nothing. I'm not a noob to Android, but little things like this confuse me a bit, especially when comparing the settings on my Fire, S4, and Tab 3 8.0. They all look similar. Oh, well, maybe I missed some small thing that's hiding from me.

Google play store has stopped working on the Fire phone as well.
I can open it but all there is is a white screen with a search bar. And the search bar doesn't pull up results. Is this happening to more users?
I wish I knew how to fix it. As long as I have it installed, even though I can't do anything with it, I can still play the games that require Google Play Store to be installed. The load issues with the Play Store were so annoying, I have been using Aptoid to download games. The downside to using Aptoid, though, is that when you look up something like Implosion: Never Lose Hope, only two pop up; the big one with a 1.1gig download and the smaller one that prompts for a data pack download. The big one stops a little more than half way through and I have to start all over again, and the smaller one never takes me to the download. The game I'm talking about is free, by the way, on the Play Store. It says only the first 6 levels are free and you have to pay to play the rest of the game, but it looks so cool. Anyway, had to get that out. Laters.
same here, first it was just the spinning circle on a white screen
I tried clearing the cache and data for all google relayed apps, rebooted
No dice, now it somehow still knows my Google account, but says it can't connect..

Last night on a different thread, I got a good tip. All we did was delete Google play services on aftv and play store worked again. Don't ask me why...I always assumed it was necessary but apparently not.

I started playing around with another app market I read about in a different thread on this forum called 1 Mobile Market. It looks kind of similar to the Play Store and references it on some of the apps. I haven't downloaded much with it yet except the game Implosion: Never Lose Hope, but it only downloaded a 20 MB apk, kind of like installing Dead Trigger and then the data pack, except the data pack never comes, so the market may be a little hit-or-miss.

Actually, I tried the same. I noticed that both google play service and google play store were updated automatically to some later version, so I uninstalled them and reinstall the old version (4.x), then I can launch google play store. However, only one. The second time, I launch play store, the same white screen showed up. And I can see bot play service and play store were (once again) updated to later version automatically.
I also have problem with youbue app now. It simply does not play video (sound is ok), not sure if it is related or not.
not in my case but i m looking for full version as only two stages can be played in demo version downloaded from store so if anyone can give me correct link or any kind of source of either full version or crack then it would be appreciated and helpful
The Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint apps are now available to install through the Google Play store on the Galaxy Tab 3, having been marked as not compatible until recently.
When I try to install them I get the following error code:
unknown error code during application installation: -110
I've done plenty of searches for this problem and it seems to affect plenty of other apps too. None of the search results actually explain what this means, but they pretty much suggest common solutions to try clearing the existing app cache for Word, Excel etc, uninstall the app then re-install it, and failing all that reset the tablet.
Well, I can't clear the cache or uninstall the apps because I can't get them installed in the first place, and I really don't want to reset the tablet, which is otherwise working just fine. Other apps install and update with issues.
Is the problem with the apps themselves, that Microsoft must sort out, is it a problem with my tablet that will definitely be resolved by resetting the tablet? Should I just wait a bit longer for Microsoft to update the apps? They've been in preview status for some time.
Just installed word on SM-T310 absolutely no problem. So it is not the app.

Thanks. I've also installed them a Sony Tablet Z without issue, but I don't you can conclude there's nothing wrong with the app. Microsoft only just released it for use on the Samsung Tab 3, having held it back for compatibility and stability issues, so perhaps they aren't all ironed out yet for the Tab 3. I'd be interested to know if others are having problems installing it on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.
Hello,
Amazon just recently patched their Final Fantasy apps to have cloud saves between devices. I haven't been able to get it to work on my Fire phone. When I try to get it to save from in the game, all I get is a "loading" screen and nothing happens. It seems to try to access my Google account on the device.
My phone is not rooted but I have Google Play sideloaded and everything else seems to be working. I have gmail as well as other apps loaded without issues from the Google Play store. If I try creating a new Google account or manually linking my already active account from within the cloud save in-game it says it has problems connecting with the Google Servers.
Has anyone had this issue before? I heard Amazon is probably discontinuing the phone so my hopes of a new patch rolling out just for this phone have pretty much diminished...
Thanks.
Did you ever find a solution? I'm having the same issue running on lg g2 using cm12.1. Doesn't want to connect to the Google drive just stays on loading screen. My Firetv connects and saves no problem.

Unfortunately, no. It's irritating. It's such a long game I really don't want to start over on another device.
Hello all, reached into a drawer to mess with xperia play I want to sell after a few years. I have a 8 gb card in it (learned that it acts silly on usb without that), but the issue is that the Market app seems broken and the phone is seemingly not updating it to google play.
I seem to remember that back in the day my xperia play when reset would after a few minutes/hours of being connected to wifi and connected to a google account would update the Market app to the Play Store and things would work fine. Not this time. I"m worried that if I sell it like this the buyer will be unhappy and come back to me.
Market says:
"attention, a server error has occurred, retry or acancela nd return to the previous screen." Retrying twice puts it back on a load screen which seems to do nothing. Hitting menu button brings up search, my apps, settings and help as normal, help loads up website, settings brings up settings as seemingly normal...
Please help! Device is vanilla, unrooted, never was, and sd card is 8gb and freshly formatted.
Did you find a fix for this? IT was working great until I did a factory reset now I'm stuck with this error I have tried resetting again. Clearing data and catch it doesn't do anything.

Sadly no, no solution. I sold the phone and the buyer has left me positive feedback, I assume his intention was to go full out and put on a CFW to what he wanted with it. Someone on reddit suggested that gingerbread may to be too old to receive updates now and that all xperia plays might be in the same boat.
As for me, I'm using an Nvidia Shield, Tuvva gamepad and GP7 these days. I do miss the Xperia Play's portability and other strengths. If I could have a xperia play with updated specs and a 5 inch or bigger screen I would buy it on launch day.
I downloaded a Play Store apk and installed that and it automatically updates the market to Play store. Hope that helps.
Hi, I have a problem with my play store when i try to download or update an app it only says downloading forever and doesn't start downloading, it was working fine and this problem started 3 days ago.
I had this problem on my note 8 but it got fixed and started downloading again by itself, now same problem occured on my oneplus 5t. I know it's not oneplus related problem but it starts pissing me off.
I have searched every forum, thread and youtube about this problem and tried all the solutions, none of them worked.
1- restarted my device.
2- cleared cache+data from all google apps and services.
3- turned on battery saver (as it considered temp solution).
4- used VPN.
5- did a reset for app preferences.
And tried some other solutions i don't remember but all of them with no luck.
Please anyone know a real solution for this other than factory reset?
try this also force stop play store and again use this might work
i have had this problem on my OP5T.
The solution was to kill the play store, clean the app files, uninstall the play store update and restart the app.
Glad if that's help u.
