Hi, please see my post in old thread
I am having a problem with this rom. It runs great and is surprisingly fast and smooth. But I just saw in F-Droid that the rom reports that it does not provide android.hardware.telephony. This wonders me because I am able to call.
Is there any possible to have 5.0 running on our device?

The easiest way to install recovery is by using that app , any way if your not able to install via application then you must try fastboot or use secondary app like flashify to install recovery . And i really don't know about flash able zip file files for recovery !!

zip files are easy. . . . download, boot into clockworkmod, select install zip fiel, boom! done.
This useless app won't even install. all it does is give me stupid information about what a release candidate is...well least I get my refund. back to square one.
Can anyone help me install a new version of clockwork mod? for desire z/G2 PLEASE?

I have one question and a short unrelated diatribe. My question is: I just rooted a G2, and this was the first rom I installed. Occasionally I'm losing service/gps etc and I'm assuming I just need to update the radio. Through my research I understand I'll need a matching RIL file for my rom to accompany the radio firmware update. How would I do that for this rom? Or do I need to?
On an unrelated note, I'd like to say thanks so much for continuing to provide nightlies for this phone. I just bought a G2 because the form-factor/hardware feature-set is perfect for me and is also super rare/no longer produced (qwerty slide-out kb, trackpad). Having the hardware feature-set along with up-to-date functional software to boot is HUGE for me. Especially considering the latest nightly upload patched stagefright. KitKat runs almost flawlessly considering the fact that I overclock to 1.5Ghz (didn't seem to effect battery life), reduce animations, don't use the gapps package / google play framework and shy away from bloated apps (besides spotify). With a little thought and creativity in configuration and app selection I have no major issues. For example, good ol brut mod gmaps runs super fast (with some bugs). The classic rolle tube modded youtube app works better than any version of google's youtube app ever has and it even lets me shut off the screen when listening to music.
I've always been bothered by the fact that the android after-market rom dev community seems to mostly abandon projects and let them drift into link-rot hell about as fast as manufacturers put out new phones. No disrespect to the people volunteering their time to make old phones last a couple more years, but when a dev puts themselves out there as a service provider I believe there's a certain degree of responsibility that comes with the implied trust and reliance others are giving the dev by using their rom. So anyways thanks for keeping this one alive. If development ever dries up for the G2 I'll likely roll up my sleeves and figure out rom dev for myself.
---------- Post added at 02:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:22 PM ----------
Nevermind, I figured out updating the radio thanks to this post:

Hi ! First of all, nice work here.
I just wanted to know if there was any way to use CM12 (official nightlies) as main ROM ? As far as I know, there is no kexec-patched kernels for CM12...
Also, if it's possible, I would like to know if CloudyG3 works well as secondary ROM.
Thanks for your help.

Same with me.... No luck at all.... Have you found a solution?
Or does anyone know the solution?
Tried every rom, using Cloudy 2.0 as primary rom...
They just won't boot...
Does the place to store the secondary rom matter (e.g. external or internal)?

MOD MultiRom
Hello Skin1980, is there any possibility to make a kernel for KK ? Thank you very much, you're great!
Custom lollipop roms are working fine but I have a problem when I installed the stock KK rom from the backup. When I try to boot it, it says "kernel crashed".
Help please
Using D855 2Gb model and running ChupaChups latest 3.0 with the latest Chupa kernel 2.1 patched, secondary ROM being CM12 latest nightly. Everything runs smoothly but I have no idea how to flash/install a new kernel for the CM12 (if possible) AND more importantly GApps? Anyone done/found the way? Thanks all
EDIT: It worked just like manual patching, from the advanced menu > roms list > in my case CM12 > zip > choose gapps from directory. Didn't try a kernel yet though:s
multirom and kitkat
so, i'm interested in multirom for lg g3 but i only use kitkat roms. is it compatible or it works only with lollipop roms?
Thank you
Hi. I followed the instructions, using the latest versions of all the files but I am getting a security error after internal boot from multirom. I started on rooted stock rom. Any ideas what can be done?
Memory Card Problem Solution
Had the same Problem when changing Name of the first internal Rom. Changed Name back to "internal" reboot and access to external memory card was o.k. Maybe this helps.
Hi.
I have a little problem. Yesterday, I installed mulltiROM in my D855AR (Argentinian variant of D855) and works excellent. No problem with that. I have CloudyG3 v2.0 as a primary ROM and CM12 as a secondary ROM. Everything works fine except that after using secondary rom when I access my primary rom, I lose the root access. Entering the TWRP and flashing SuperSU again using zip file is solved , but if I enter again to secondary rom lose root access in primary again.
Useless.
Any idea why this happens?
Thanks for your time.
Hi.
@Skin1980
May you help. Or anyone who knows the solution.
I have some problems on MultiRom. I installed the MultiRom as it instructed. And the internal rom is chupachups 3.0. And second RR Lollipop 5.2.8. Everything here is fine. But I have a issue that my screen shuts down and won't turn on again if I don't disconnect the battery and put it back after waiting 5 second or so. I'm encountering this issue on internal or external roms. And sometimes after opening phone back I'm seeing this issue just after boot, when I see the lockscreen.
Do you have any solution for that.

I need your help...
Hey there!
jd1639 gave me the advice to post my problem in this thread rather than wait for an answer in the xda-assist thread. For not having to write it all again, here is a link to the post I made: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/unbrick-wiko-rainbow-t3108133 . Seems like noone is able to help me on that issue, but I hope for your knowledge to come up with a solution...
Is it possible to use an update.zip to fix it? Thought of packing the whole stock-rom into a zip-file, rename and install it, and everything would be fine again. Tried to do so, but when I pick the "apply update from sdcard"-option in recovery menu, the system partition is shown instead of the sd card storage, and I don't know how to put the zip onto sys without adb.
If not even a pro like you knows a solution for this, do you think it is still possible to recognize, that I tried to install a custom firmware? Otherwise I could return it to Wiko and hope for a replacement!
Thank you for arguing with my problem by now, please let me know what you think about it.
Regards,
Metal-Moe
@Metal-Moe so let me try to help you..
you have 2 methods:
1.official tool
what you must do? connect your phone and run JB version (it appears v14 on wiko site)..i assume you know how to it.#see below the pictures and minitutorial.
charge your battery to full, this is important!! see if the software recognize your WIKO..run this drivers:https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934554018 and try to connect and reconnect your WIKO in different USB ports after you installed the drivers. (install anyway if appears a security warning)
2.SPFLASHTOOLS-.if doesnt work try the same method but with SP FLASHTOOLS..even in my computer sometimes doesnt recognize when testing developer roms..and i do that ..works for me..you just need to be patient and keep trying..one of the usb ports will work for sure..after it works flash stock JB and see if your IMEI is back..at least have your phone back to life..to restore your IMEI you have many methods..just PM or mention me to have a more faster answer..first lets see if we can bring back your phone from the dead.:good:
note:stock JB makes a folder inside that is SP FLASHABLE like this:

@smokerman: Unfortunately I wasn't able to solve the problem with the possible solutions you'd mentioned, so I brought the bricked phone back to the local store, hoping it wouldn't be returned unrepaired due to guarantee loss. Two weeks later I got it back and it's working fine! But thank you for your effort in helping me anyway!
Now I'll backup the IMEI with MobileUncle before doing anything else!

So I recently installed Fulmics 3.7 but found that it still has BT issues on the F400K making it impossible to sync with my Gear Live.
I started searching and found the KDZ files for MM for my phone but was unable to find any simple debloated/rooted ROMs made from them.
What I'm looking for is a ROM that simply works, nothing fancy or flashy. Can anyone point me in a good direction?
I would like to stick to MM if possible but am not totally married to the idea.
I made a post in the Android MM discussions thread asking about whether my SIM would be locked to some Korean carrier if I updated (bought the phone in Asia and now use it in the US, was already rooted when I purchased it and not sure if the original setup was locked to a Korean carrier) so if someone replies and says it will work I may just flash the KDZ and then root afterward.
Anyway, if anyone could put in their two cents I would really appreciate it
@cliffordconradsumner , flashing KDZ will not lock it to Korean carrier. If your are looking for stable stock based rom, I would recommend to download and install below. Found it from lgviet, it is modified by member Tizen. I used all other roms including Fulmics but reverted back to it as everything works on it.
Rom Download Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-V6jOenWB4sOVNFUmhRcXZSZ2M/view
File Addition : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-V6jOenWB4sRnRCSTBwdmM2MXM/view
Installation Instructions:
You must be on Stock Lollipop, rooted and TWRP recovery installed.
Full wipe (Date, system, cache, Dalvik)
Install the rom by choosing your variant and reboot. (DO NOT install file addition zip at this point)
Once you complete initial setup, reboot into recovery with Quickboot app (already included in recovery) and now install File addition zip. (downloaded above from 2nd link). Reboot your cell and enjoy.
Thanks so much for the info! I'm doing a search for lgviet not to try and find the rom to read up a little more about it. Is there a thread here on XDA?

I can add some.
I didn't because it's just stock.

I'm working on it.
Thank you for sharing. Downloading now.
Thank you for taking time from your schedule in real life to contribute to the xda and for keeping note 4 THE best phone available to date . I was just wondering if you would know how to fix the root switch barrier i have come accross when trying to load pokemon app , when i was on stock pk1 odexed i used root switch app to disable root and i played the game fine using flygps with this build and being deodexed when i try to do the same it fails , first the gps says cannot be found thats because im using mock location app and second pokemon app itself tells me it cannot authenticate the account im guessing cause it cannot pass the safety net test, so my question is ...is it a easy fix or is it something that would take weeks of work if it is dont even bother buddy ill just roll back to my backup its no biggie but if its easy i'd like to keep this build and have the pokemon working thanks.

But No I wouldn't have a clue about that. I'm not quite that talented yet. Ive just started learning some of the more technical stuff about modding.
If you do find out the possible fix, I'd be more than happy to incorporate it into the rom!
Thanks!
Edit: I'm just taking a stab in the dark here, but since we're dealing with root. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with su.d or system less root or dmverity.
What exact rom were you on when it worked?
I'm not home right now, but try extracting the stock kernel from the qb3 firmware.
Flash it then flash Super su again.
Then try the root switch.
Let me know if that does anything?

I managed to put together a fix to try. I'm just quessing but this will let me rule out if its related to the kernel.
Its stock PK1 Kernel (all i have on phone right now).
Download it,
Uninstall the Root switch app.
Flash the kernel zip. Reboot!
Then install Root switch.
Let me know if it works. :fingers-crossed:
EDIT- SEE Post BELOW!!
Pokeman and snapchat won't work with root... Not rom related.

You are running stock kernel right?
And also, you are NOT running xposed?
This is the only way i know to get Safetynet green.
The dev from Magisk is working real hard to let us keep root on for Safetynet Passing, but on the xposed side we still have that big problem.

No xposed just stock everything like if i took ota and than rooted it than i use root switch app and turn root off and voila pokemon works like im not rooted but on this build when i turn root off with that app and try the pokemon it doesnt work so im about to try to flash the pk1 kernel with this new build and see if that works
