Hi I just wanted to know how I can root my Lg g4 At&T without using a PC? I have tried kingroot and no luck. If anyone knows how I really appreciate it and if I made a mistake of where I posted this I apologize. I know people will talk bad because I don't know much about rooting but I'd like to learn. I, of course, searched around for the answer to these questions, but didn't find any - here or on the internet.
I spent a long time working on my custom theme/appearance, and have also considered rooting my phone (LG Optimus Sol) in order to be able to customize all aspects of it.
My questions:
1. Theme problem: Like I said, I spent quite a while on my theme, if I root my phone, will my theme and/or widgets be lost?
2. Rooting: I use Gingerbread as OS and would like to know which rooting program is better/safer: Gingerbreak or SuperOneClick?
3. Brick solution: I know the risks of rooting, and I would like to know if there is any chance to un-brick my Sol if the horrible thing happens.
I hope this thread doesn't get ignored. >.<

I don't see anyone post it or have a separate forum for it as mainly it went to the G3 and not the Prime model.
If anyone here has it, can you post it up ? Really love to keep it in the bank just in case I need to flash the phone again from stupid root mistakes

Not possible! Also read the many guides and post's explaining how to do it with a custom rom,how you didn't see all the post's regarding this issue is beyond me!
Please search for an answer before starting a thread like this.

Greetings. My name is Pedro, i am peruvian and have recently bought an lg v500 (non google play) wich i rooted to use some programs, like battery repair.
Now what i want to know is about upgrading to lollipop, since it seems that lg will NEVER update the plataform. Of course if i do so, i will need to know exactly what to do, specially since this is my only access to the internet.
Can you help me? I dunno much about flashing but i just wanna learn.

Do NOT use that method/tutorial if you want to keep root; you will loose root when you flash the KDZ.
Instead, install a custom recovery ( read into what that is first) and then flash the rooted flashable zip of v30a.

You inspired me a lot. I've got the LG G Flex 2, and i would like to try to manually change boot.img, something, like what has been done with G3 boot. Can anybody send me a unlocked bootloader, written by dd? I would like to compare it with the stock one, and maybe find something to use on my Flex2.
