Developer Options - Moto 360

Not sure if this has been discussed, but I just realized that this watch has "developer options". Under settings, press the build version. Multiple times (I think seven), and you'll become a developer.
Exit settings, then go back into settings and you'll see the new menu.

Yea..
You can do that on anything that has android on it.
There's nothing to discuss,really.

Well, it was available on Android phones, just didn't think/ wasn't expecting it to be on the watch.

It's the only way to enable adb debugging as documented by google here:
https://developer.android.com/training/wearables/apps/bt-debugging.html#debug
it's how i manage to extract the OTA URLs as discussed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-360/general/ref-motorola-moto-360-stock-ota-urls-t2869513 (note that the original post is no longer updated).

Lg g wall
$oul€$$ D€m0n!

Well I have Qmobile x150 and have no developer option
Although I press software version 5 to 7 times , it says you are now a developer but didn't get those options...
..why??

Nexus update on JB

Hello together,
I have got a question regarding the update of a GN. Everything on this phone is basically manufacture default. Its bought in Poland and used in England. Since JB should be OTA the phone should have a Message on that top scroll down screen when the update is ready - i guess.
Will the Update of that phone be received with Polish updates or with English updates and do i need to change any settings on that phone? Like download only by wifi and something like this?

I would guess that the update will be the language on the phone so if your language is set to polish you'll get polish updates, also you shouldn't need to change any settings to get the update, but if you're trying to force it you can clear data and force stop the 'Google Services Framework' app and then check for updates again, that made me get it instantly.

Go to settings->Apps->Swipe across to 'All'->Find 'Google Services Framework'->The Press 'Clear Data' and 'OK'' on the Dialog box->Then 'Force stop' and 'OK' on the dialog box->Go back to settings->'About Phone'->'System Updates'-> 'Check now'
The update should appear and download a few seconds after that, as I said it worked first time for me but for others it takes more than one try sometimes.

If you are running a build of Android other than yakju or taku, the Jelly Bean update is not out yet. You either have to wait, or flash yakju or takju as per this thread.
Well.. is the build version listet in that about phone window?
are those builds the stock once? can i check a page where it gives that information for which build it might already be out? thought the wonderfull thing is updates out as soon as android is released

Look at the Settings->About phone menu and read the Build number. If there are more than 6 digits in that field, you are NOT on yakju or takju, and there is no JB update for you yet. You are on some Samsung build.

there are several version of the firmware, some with location specific modifications.
if you want the version that comes straight from google without waiting on samsung, follow efrant's link.
thanks for the heads up .. but i cant be bothered to start flashing custom roms over custom roms just because google andoid is not able to provide an update for every stock version of the operation system ... and gave my girl that advice because they get the updates as soon as they are out..
so no difference to one X or the other galaxy phones .. a shame actually .. make me change onto something else with my phone

you only flash it once. thats it.
once you flash it once, you're done. they are factory images from google and any future updates come in a regular OTA update.
But its not my phone and i dont use android atm and i cant be asked to read me in this stuff since i got work to do and part time studies.
is there a list to see when the others will get there update? - still cant believe that sh1t

About that list, ask your carrier.
So, if you dont use android, cant be bothered by all of this, dont have the time, and its not your phone, and you and the owner have been mislead by advertising in your country, we cant help you. Still cant believe the attitude.

the message for android on stock google nexus phones is updates as soon as google releases android .. what does my carrier have to do with this? he does not need to add stuff there.. its not even bought with the carrier

blame your region and blame samsung. it has been documented so many times that there's 3 firmware images that get updated directly by google. 2 of them are for GSM phones and the other is the verizon version (after carrier approval for vzw anyways)
honestly if you cant be bothered to spend 30min to use the solution given to you, you have no excuse. this is my last reply to you.
besides, its not even your phone.
i know its not my phone. but i will not flash another rom on a stock android rom. no reason for except of the build problem that is supposed to be the good thing about google nexus phones. so wp8 it will be for me
^Really? You come to a gnex forum get all your questions answered, get good advice from helpful members here, now cant be bothered and call the phone sh1t. Go buy a nokia candybar, you will be happier. :good:
i probably will .. at least they roll out updates as they come. cmon .. you have to admit that this update politic is supposed to be good for nexus phones and here it proves to be just as **** as on every other android phone on the market .. or whats the problem that this phone is not able to get the update? its not branded and not bought at any provider.

[HOWTO] Enable USB debugging

To enable USB Debugging you need to go to Settings > About > Software Information > More > Build number - tap Build number 7 times to enable developer mode. After you get the window saying "developer mode has been enabled" go back to the main menu in Settings and under the System section you will have "Developer Options" added. In there you will have the ability to enable USB Debugging among other things.
Looking into developer options a little more there are a few interesting settings, such as the Background Process Limit under the Advanced section.
how do I get the cool screen where I can toss around jelly beans?

damn. wanted to have some fun haha
keep trying. it probably took me somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 taps.
I was unable to access the Jelly Bean Easter Egg in the stock rom but Newts GPE rom has the Jelly Bean Easter Egg.
To Access Jelly Bean Event:
1. Go to Settings
2. Click About
3. Tap the "Android Version 4.2.2" bar 3 times, you will have to tap quickly or the event will not start.
4. At the screen with the single Giant Jelly Bean, tap the screen once to make the Jelly Bean a happy Jelly Bean and a long press will start the event
- [ROM]NOS 1.0.0 m7wlv Google Play Edition [JB 4.2.2 Stock ](8.24.2013) Optimized -
Enjoy tossing the Beans!

Can any devs guide me in unlocking a hidden menu...

I just purchased a radio from Allixpress, it's a Allwinner T3-P3 running 6.0. The builder told me they hid the menu for Shutdown Delay when ACC OFF.. I want to enable it. I did find a workaround by creating a settings shortcut using Launcher Pro but.. it says it cannot run when I click the shortcut. They also had Build number hidden in About section so you could not activate Developer options but I was able to get to Developer options by creating the Settings shortcut using Launcher Pro.
I was able to root it so I can use root explorer does anyone know what file or config file would determine what options are on the setting menu? Or an app that would allow me to get to that settings page for Shutdown Delay?

hmm, post some pics of your unit. i remember my allwinner T3 also didn't have many settings, but after a FW upgrade i received from them, there were more options.
but none had shutdown delay on acc-off. Maybe talk to the seller to un-hide it in next FW? my other allwinner R16, also android 6 had the delay options..

He did say "maybe" next update..
Btw when I'm searching for answers about this radio should I be searching for AllWinner t3_p3 for example my other radio is a Rk3066.. Also I'm assuming there isn't any custom roms out there or the firmware you have for the r16 won't work on this unit?
Well today was a good day.. I installed a newer firmware, but the setting was still not there.. But I did manage to get it rooted and xposed framework installed. I am so close to liking this radio.. I just need to enable or get to that one setting so it will sleep for 2 hours before shutting all the way down. I would assume there is a file somewhere in the unit that I just need to change from false to true.. But where is it... Here is what I am missing..

Hi HeyRobi, could you find a solution??
The OP, posting in 2017, had posted in the wrong section/confused his device - it is not an MTCB, solutions for MTCB devices don't apply to his device.

Not sure you can. Unless a developer can edit the system UI in some way. It's still there even if you use a different launcher.
Turn off developer options, it'll disappear.

Connect to Wifi with WPS?

I was trying to connect to a network via WPS and cannot find this feature on the g7.
Apparently it should be an option found under "Advanced Wi-Fi" but I seem to lack the WPS option within that menu.
According to this document by tmobile it should be there.
I think I remember using this feature before but it may have been removed by an update.
Currently running
Android 9
Sept 2019 Security Patch
Build - PKQ1.181105.001
Anyone can confirm the removal of WPS or was it just never there? Or am I dumb and just can't find it.

this function was erased from android since the introduction of android release 9 for security issues!
