Good morning everyone,
I have a problem. I bought Nexus 6p and I would use it with my motorola moto 360 second generation. The problem is that only the calls coming to the clock, no notifications email, message, social ect....
I have factory reset, but nothing! Can someone help me?
Thank you
Danila
First make sure that on your phone in settings-apps-android wear all the permissions are set.
Go to settings-battery click the 3 dots and select battery optimization. Select to show all apps and change android wear to not optimized. This will keep it from dozing.
Note that the watch on!y receives notifications if your phone displays them.. By this I mean it will not notify if the phone is set to Do Not Disturb/Priority/ etc... If you are getting the notification on your phone but not your watch (and you are connected) that is an issue.

My nexus 5 was recently updated and my moto 360 is barely usable. I would sometimes miss notifications before this update but recently it's been a lot worse. Sometimes the watch face disappears completely and it's just a blank screen. I'm also getting errors saying that fit needs android wear to update.
I've tried doing a factory reset as well with no luck

I've noticed that after the update some notifications doesn't wake up the watch or make it vibrate, when you use the "try notifications" from the Android wear app just 4 of them wake up the watch, i hope that with the next update al notifications are shown in the watch .
This may sound stupid but it worked for me. I was only getting some notifications too. Tried setting new watch faces and syncing from my phone but nothing fixed it. This is what fixed it for me. I changed the watch face from the watch itself, and then hit the little settings gear on the watch face, edited something, and then selected the face. All notifications worked after that.
I've had a Smartwatch 3 for a couple years without any issues. The watch connects without me doing anything, and notifications come through at the same time as my phone.
I bought a Huawei Watch Tuesday, went through the two system updates, and then did not receive notifications. A factory reset fixed that for about 36 hours.
Since then, I've done about 10 factory resets, tweaking settings in the Wear app and on the watch each time. Sometimes, I could get the watch to receive notifications temporarily. That would stop after an hour or so. Pushing one of the sample notifications from the Wear app doesn't work, but most of the time I can change the watch face from the Wear app. Other weird things:
-Sometimes the Wear app will show nothing. Not even give me options to add a device.
-When I click "Calling Setup" on the watch, sometimes it will ask me to give Message+ (the Verizon messaging app) permission. Whether I accept or not, it will eventually tell me the watch isn't connected to the phone (even though the Wear app says it is).
Today, I exchanged the watch, and am having the same issues (and the grey circle where the charging icon appears won't go away). I really, really want to be able to use this watch, so any help would be very much appreciated. Here's a quick rundown of what I've tried so far:
-Cleared Wear app data and cache.
-Removed Smartwatch 3 and Huawei watch from app thinking it might be confused with 2 in there. Re-added the Smartwatch 3 independently after this, and it still worked.
-Checked permissions on phone and watch.
-Removed Google Play Music playlist, thinking syncing may have been bogging it down.
-Switched default text apps.
-Uninstalled Wear app.
-Tried different Watchmaker faces.
Watch and phone (LG G3 on Verizon) are running Marshmallow.
Can you think of any experiments before I give up?
Uninstall Wear and re-install. Then resync and pair the watch again.
Thats all I can think of.
As an update, I cleared cache in each app on my phone individually and uninstalled non-essential Wear apps. This has notifications flowing normally.
However, if I disconnect the phone/watch for any reason, it takes hours for notifications to start coming in again.
Any thoughts on how to trigger notifications after reconnecting? Toggling the connection and options in the Wear app doesn't help. I can't figure out what eventually allows notifications again.
Hi guys, I have problem with incoming notifications on my watch after the watch is not paired with my smartphone a few hours.
The watch don't receive incoming notifications, but the bluetooth connection is there.
After a factory reset my watch works good again.
I need help, please..

I think we're experiencing the same thing. I bet if you gave it a few hours, you would start to receive notifications. I wonder if this is an issue with the watch. Does anyone not experience this?

Hi everyone! yesterday i recived my OnePlus3 and i found problems with the connection with my smartwatch: i have Motorola Moto 260 (second generation) and i can pair with the smartwatch but when i try to connect with android wear the smartwatch is disappeared. when i check the devices on my moto 360 i found my OP3 but is impossible to connect with the device. i tried with my old phone (nexus 5) and the sync is correct without problems; so i tried with another smartwatch and is not possible even with this (in this case my phone not disclose this second smartwatch).
HELP PLEASE.
PS. i don't know if this is the correct section about this thread....
Did you factory reset the watch? I have my lg g watch r paired to my op3 and working perfectly fine with Android wear.

Yes i did but doesn't work...i contact the support team and they told me that in the next update of oxygen fix this bug... do you know another kind of pair with my smartwatch?!
With moto 360 1st gen works with no problem (better than the op2). Now mine is rooted but it was not when paired...

Moto360 2nd gen and OnePlus 3 - no notifications
I have a moto 360 2nd gen which paired perfectly with my Oneplus One. Then I bought the OP3. Now the watch still paired with the OP3 but my notifications have stopped coming through to the watch. Every time I restart the phone, the notifications work fine but in about 2 hours they gradually stop, one app at a time. Changing my watch face to the stock moto watch face also doesn't work. I tried fiddling with app permission and app notification settings but nothing seems to work. What's most puzzling is that google app notifications keep coming through, and before the android community starts trolling me saying its obvious, in the same breath let me say that along with the Google app, the Outlook app also manages to push notifications to my watch with no trouble. And the settings for both these apps is exactly the same as all my other apps.
My take is that the aggressive memory management of the OnePlus 3 could be the reason for this and maybe the only fix for people who dont want to get under the hood of is an OS update with a patch to address this bug.

Facing similar issue on my Op3 with Moto 360 2nd Gen. (I also was with OPO and 360 2nd Gen and now migrated to Op3) I have to manually open Android Wear App to start notifications. Works for some time and then notifications stop coming though watch.
More bug I found that the news apps are also need to be reopened for notifications to start.
It acting like a super dose on the go to save battery.

Opening the Android wear app doesn't help in my case. The app just shows a message saying 'NOTIFICATIONS STOPPED SYNCING' and asks me to restart the phone. This throttling down of active memory to save battery is killing the utility of my smart watch
Issue resolved!!
So after a lot of permutations and combinations, I've figured out a way:
Open the Android wear app
Go to home screen
Fire up the recents menu
Lock the android wear app (using the little lock icon that appears on the top right of the app window in the recents view)
I did this a couple of days ago and my Moto360 2nd gen is a smart watch all over again. No more missing notifications
P. S. I haven't received the Oxygen OS 3.2.1 OTA update yet and hope to stop using my manual hack post the update since the OTA update promises to bring better RAM managent to the OP3 among other tweaks.
For the last week or so I've noticed that when I get a text, I get the preview pop up of the text, and then it disappears - along with the notification of the text. It will either disappear immediately or soon after. Sometimes if I have multiple text notifications - and I touch one - the rest will disappear. It also removes the 'unread' badge count on my Nova Launcher bar. This has never happened before, and I'm unsure what could be happening now to cause it. I normally use Textra, but I switched to Android Messages to see if it was an app error but the same thing continued.
I was aware of the Oreo issue where text messages weren't being received, but I'm definitely receiving them. I'm on a Pixel 2 XL now, but this was happening with my Pixel XL last week also. I've tried turning off the battery optimization in case it was acting funky, but that hasn't changed anything. Any ideas?
I am having the same issue. I'm on a Verizon Pixel 2 XL. I get a text, the notification starts to play and then cuts off, not showing an unread notification. I'm getting the text, if I go into Textra it shows the new message, its just marked as read.
Coincidentally, I'm also having an occasional issue where my screen won't wake up and I have to reboot the phone to get the screen to turn back on. Haven't seen anyone having that issue yet either.
I have noticed the same thing on my Nexus 6. I haven't noticed an update to the messages app that corresponds to when this started, but the android wear app updated around the same time, so I was curious if it had something to do with that.

I just uninstalled the wear app and my notifications don't disappear any more. Unfortunately, I can't use my watch now
Messages notifications are disappearing on my Pixel 2 (non-XL) also. Sometimes they disappear so quickly that I don't even get the partial sound, just a short vibration from the phone.
I also have a Wear device. Haven't tried removing the Wear app, because all other notifications are working correctly, and I depend on them much more than the occasional text I receive these days.
I'm getting this on my Galaxy S8 as well; I was finally able to track this back to the Android Wear app, but as I haven't told it to silence notifications on my phone when connected to my watch, I'm not sure exactly what is causing this bug...

I just noticed that I'm having this problem as well after a few people asked me why I hadn't responded to their texts. I'm sure this used to work fine. Maybe it was broken in a recent update of messages?
Good catch tracking it to Wear. I have figured out the following:
If the watch is on, the text notification gets "eaten up" by the watch and does not show on the phone
If the watch is off, the notification does remain on the phone
If the watch is on but I set it to ignore the "Messages" app notifications, the message shows on the phone
This is pretty annoying as I do like getting notifications on the watch, but of course I don't want them to disappear from the phone. It seems like for the moment, I have to choose between one device or the other.
I opened a bug report at https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/70808796
So I actually think I may have figured out what's happening on my end but still don't know exactly why... I had AT&T NumberSync enabled for my LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition, and after disabling that all my text notifications persist like they used to; basically my watch now functions tethered to my phone through a traditional Android Wear connection and will only get notifications once "passed on" from my phone, versus catching the texts via the AT&T network directly with NumberSync.

I have the issue on Nexus 6 and Android wear also. Any solutions to keep both going?
In the Wear app on the phone check to see if "Silence phone while wearing watch" is enabled.

You are a genius! Thanks. This solved my problem (although I think the underlying issue might be different since you are on AT&T).
The winning combo for me (I'm using T-Mobile with "DIGITS with Paired Data") is:
On the watch, settings --> connectivity --> cellular --> advanced --> watch shares number with phone --> calls: on, text messages: off
On the watch, settings --> apps & notifications --> app notifications --> show all --> messages --> off
Since TMo already handles having the watch SIM share my main SIM's number on the network side, there's no need to tell the watch about this. I've confirmed that the following work:
Incoming texts appear (and stay in the notifications) on the phone and watch
I can reply to texts from either device and the "from" number is correct (my main number)
I do not get duplicate notifications on the watch (the watch's messages app's notifications are disabled)
I can place a call from the watch and the correct "from" number appears on caller ID
I can receive a call placed to my main number on either the phone or the watch
I'm having problems getting the P2XL to pass notifications to my Huawei watch.
Phone calls are no problem, phone battery display, weather, steps etc all work fine.
I just don't get message notifications. I've tried using the stock app and Textra but neither works.
Facebook Messenger even works...
edit: I just noticed I also don't get notifications from GMail app.
I've gone in and disabled battery optimisation for Android Wear, allowed every imaginable notification permission but it still won't pass message notifications.
My old Pixel XL was great for this. It worked absolutely every time.

Similar boat here. Moto 360 v2. I use an app called Feel The Wear to give me a long vibration for texts which I get but no message on my watch. Not sure about Gmail notifications but don't remember getting a buzz or card on my watch.

probably not much help but i have a garmin fenix 3 hr and i get all notifications just fine.
could it be a permissions issue? i was prompted to give permissions when i connected the watch the first time.
I had the same issue with my Huawei watch. I had to forget the watch in the phone Bluetooth, clear app data on android wear, uninstall android wear, then re-install android wear and use it to set the watch up again. I did not have to reset the watch. After that notifications worked.

I was prompted for permission when I connected first time too, but... that was before the watch upgraded to Android 2.5
Count me in. I have the Pixel 2 XL and the Moto 360 gen 2. All was working fine except I would stop getting notifications randomly, but rebooting the watch would fix it (even though I turn the watch off most nights until I need to charge it, so it was being rebooted normally already).
Now the last 3 days no notifications. Reboots don't help at all.
When this happens, like the original post said, the watch is still connected, I get battery stats, it shows when audio plays, shows incoming phones calls, just no app notifications like text or gmail.
The only thing left to do is disconnect and reset. I'm still on the Sep 5th security update. I have the Nov security update notification, maybe I'll do that today and see if it helps at all.
By any chance have you NOT downloaded the actual app on your watch? I thought I had a problem too, with Feel the Wear, but then realized I hadn't downloaded the Feel the Wear app on my watch. As soon as I did, everything worked. This is with Android Wear 2 on a moto 360 sport.

Make sure Android messages is installed on ur watch, this application is related to some of the missing notifications.
