Xperia lt26w - sim card blocked? - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi there,
I have a lt26w xperia - and I don't seem to be able to load any sim card. I've tried a couple network so far. It was owned by someone who tried to unlock it. I've had to unlock the network from it when I've received it, as it was locked to some asian cellphone company.
It's a stock rom, but it's rooted and the bootloader is lock. The network (wifi) is working fine. How can I check if there is some problem with the bootloader blocking the sim? I read that if you used fastboot to unlock the bootloader you can break things in the phone.
On another note, can I upgrade to lollipop with a locked bootloader?
I'm on 4.0.4
baseband version 8660-aaabqolym-314010-22
kernel 3.0.8+1.0.21100-30145-01956-g43358ca
Not sure how to troubleshoot -thanks for any help

Problem with simlock (LT15i)

hello. this is a log story, so i will try to get to the point as quickly as i can.
i have a xperia arc lt15i locked on SFR France, it came with 3.0.A.2.184 branded sfr out of the box. when i inserted an unsupported sim card (orange) it always asked me the sim-unlock code (i never tried a random code). after a while, an update became available for my device 3.0.1.A.0.145 i think, so i updated the software via pc companion. the problem is that after this update, when i insert a unsupported sim card it always says "please insert sim card and restart the phone". and i really need to unlock the phone because i ordered the unlock code. i'm on the generic uk version now, and still have the same problem.
anyone else experienced the same issue? can someone give me an advice please? how can i unlock my phone now? i'm desperate...

Carrier Sim Unlock Code Question.

Hi all new to the GNex.
I recently updated to IMM76I (Yakju) Please correct if I am wrong via OTA. However I am still locked to O2 UK. I hope to get my unlock code in the next few days from O2. I have one question.
Once I unlock my phone so it becomes sim free and then decide to go custom rom route, will I have to unlock the sim unlock again?
After reading threads about doing manual unlocking of the network lock. I was not sure if the scenario outlined in those threads about having to unlock sim after each reset will affect me in the same way.
Many Thanks
Tom

URGENT!!! No SIMCARD detected

Hi everyone,
I have a Xperia Arc (LT15i), and I have a problem. Since yesterday, my phone didn't recognize any SIMCARD. It's locked to Vodafone Spain and BL is locked too.
I saw that my Xperia Arc doesn't boot...and I've flashed FIX Fota Bricked Pack for unlocked Bootloaders...and my Bootloader is locked...since this...No SIM Card detected...and no signal...incl one SIM for Vodafone SPAIN.
Any solution????
If I downgrade from ICS to GB with Flashtool it's possible to fix this problem...or what else???? Any ROM for fix this problem??? PC Companion and SEUS said me that my software is up 2 date...and didn't repair...
Thank you in advance! PLZ Help Me! For me it's a BIG BIG problem! I don't have phone!!!....

From the stickys in general, and I would go with ICS.
I've flashed various ICS stock ROMS...and the problem is the same...Insert SIMCard and restart the phone...
I've used Flashtool 0.9...is there any problem with this version?
Please...any solution? Is my phone dead?
Today I've used SEUS to Update from GB to ICS...and the problem is the same. Still saying...No SIMCARD detected, only emergency calls...or...insert SIM CARD and restart the phone...
What can i do?
Have you taken it out and give it a wipe?
Sent from my Phone.
What???? Sorry but I don''t understand you....
Have you taken the sim card out of the Phone?
Sent from my Phone.
Yes...
And the result is the same...SIM CARD not detected, only emergency calls.
Any solution???
Maybe try put another sim card into your phone and/or your sim card into another phone to test.
I put the SIM on another phone...and SIM seems to be functionally!!! But the same SIM in Xperia Arc nope!
I'll tried anothers SIMS in arc and the result is the same...
After reading many webs...I believe that I found the solution...
Just in this forum...there is a thread with No sim card detected and Emergency Calls...after many tries...solution is Omnius Server and Unlock by certificate replacement. I bought a Single Android License Unlock...tonight I'll try this...if it's resolves my problem, xperia arc will be my phone...if not...BRICK ARC WITH MY HANDS!!! Muahahahahahahaha...

[Q] Sim Don't Work With Custom Roms

I purchased an experia play r800at and it came already sim unlocked. I decided I wanted to go further so I use the paid method to have my bootloader unlocked as well. After all is said and done I install a custom rom and my phone does not recognize my sim card as if it's not even there. I tried a few different custom roms and they all did the same thing. When I go back to stock rom though I have no issues at all. I had also purchased a r800i white phone, but with my white phone I went through sony's way to unlock the bootloader instead of the unofficial way I used with my blue one. I now can do what ever I want with the r800i without any problems, but am still stuck with using the stock rom with my r800at. Does anyone have any advice on how I can fix this? The white phone is only a 2G phone so I gave it to someone else to use cause the blue one is 4G and I need that more. I would really like to install an ICS rom on my r800at so if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them and try them out. Thanks:cyclops:
So you want to install a ICS official and you have the bootloader locked?
Yes you are sim unlocked. BUT you need to have your bootloader unlocked as well. They are both clearly 2 different things. In order for you to intall customs rom your bootloader needs to be unlocked not sim.

[Q] [HELP] Need Stock ROM Xperia S LT26i Vodafone Australia

Need help. I need Stock ROM Xperia S LT26i Vodafone Australia. I bought my Xperia S outside Australia and has no "network unlock" prompt. I have checked the imei, it is not stolen nor lost. I have tried several generic stock rom in any version (gingerbread, ics, or jellybean) but the network can't be used. Also, I have tried CM10 for Locked Bootloader but still no network.
The sim card slot is good I think, since it cant prompt for sim card pin lock. The antenna is also good I think, if I search network in setting, it can detect some network but no home icon and can't register to any network.
I have checked SERVICE INFO *#*#SERVICE#*#*, on SIM LOCK, on some ROMs it becomes no "X" (just empty all "[]"), and on other ROMs it becomes all "?".
So, the problem is unusable network, and there is no any prompt to enter network unlock code. And I think flashing stock ROM maybe solve the problem.
I am sorry for bad english.
