Please I have a HTC T528W mobile phone. I kept it in my pocket and the next thing I saw was ***locked***

I am being offered an HTC one m8 very cheaply as it is stuck on fastboot menu. The guy selling it says while updating the phone turned off and its been stuck there since. Should I buy the phone? Is it possible to fix it?
On the screen it says this:

Yeah, I saw the last thread you started as well. I was going to respond and forgot to get back to it. I think it can be saved.
Download the latest Sprint RUU onto your PC. Link is here.
The instructions on updating manually are there on the link as well. That's what you will need to do. It's best to get your phone into fastboot mode before connecting to the PC and running the RUU.

I bought a M7 like that in a ATT parking lot from some guy and after some playing, ran a RUU from HTC and all was good. He said he was trying to put a custom ROM on it and screwed it up.

As long as you can get into Hboot or Fastboot I'd buy it. Unless it has a very strange hardware problem you should be able to fix it using ADB or RUU.

My device htc m8 just got bricked while receiving and OTA and battery died now i am stuck on htc boot screen or can access recover mode
It shows as follows on recovery mode

Your software status says MODIFIED
1. Did you root your phone or install a custom ROM?
2. Which OTA were you installing?
3. Can you access the stock recovery?

I was able to go to stock recovery until morning i tried reloading my phone with RUU
After that i am not able to power on my phone
My pc makes a sound after i connect my phone
But nothing else is detecting

i am able to go into recovery mode

I Heard I need to install some RUU files? but Since I do not have an OS, I need to install one first.
I also installed a file called 0PFJIMG_A51_UL_L50_DESIRE_SENSE60_MR_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.4_Radio_01.01.010_U10305041_08.01.50512_release_460795 . ZIP
but whenever I try to extract it, it says the file is corrupt
How can I install an OS on my HTC Desire 820?
