CANNOT use Fiio E18 DAC with nexus 5.

Just receive my Fiio E18 which claim to work with android phone.
After few test, I found that nexus 5 cannot recognize it correctly.
So I can only use nexus 5's phone jack out put to Fiio E18,
And I tried to connect E18 with my note2 through note2's micro USB port.
Which worked perfectly without any additional driver.

USB Audio out is known to work on CyanogenMod Rom but not on stock 4.4 Kitkat. Try flashing the latest CM11 nightly and you should have lineout VIA usb.

[Q] Nexus 7 2013 ElementalX not working with Behringer UCA222

I am trying to get my nexus 7 2013 setup to use as my new headunit that will interface with my car stereo.
So I am using ElementalX version 2.9
My setup is as follows
OTG Cable>Stock Nexus7 charging cord>Startech 4port USB hub>USB DAC Behringer UCA222 plugged into usb hub >Powering this usb hub for my test is usb cable to power source
Having it setup like this The usb is powered and my nexus 7 is also charging. BUT the USB Dac behringer uca222 does not power on.
If I unplug usb dac from usb hub, and plug the dac into the usb port on OTG cable then the usb dac will power on. Also the USB Hub still has power.
BUT now the nexus 7 will not charge.
WHen I test to see if I can play music from nexus 7 through usb dac to car radio nothing happens, only music is coming from nexus 7.
So am I missing something or doing something wrong?
Music apps I have tried. PowerAmp, N7Player.
Help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Stock Android 4.4.x does not provide native USB DAC hotplug support. Install timur-services-flo442-[date].zip via recovery to enable USB DAC hotplug and USB audio volume patches. This installer will modify the following files:

OTG USB for car audio + power

i need your opines about the best USB OTG cable to run with Timur's kernel
Also, i would prefer it be L shaped as it is for the nexus that is indash in my car....

I am thinking of purchasing a DAC unit for my phone and wonder if anyone know if the micro USB port will work with an adapter to DAC unit?

Well... I've tried Chord Hugo. It has dual USB ports. Only the standard port is android compatible. The other is hifi speced and need drivers on Windows or certain OSX versions. In my case it offers Bluetooth too.
Short version. If it is made for mobile units it probably has android support. A cheaper alternative is Chord Mojo... All depends what kind of money you are prepared to spend.

USB DAC OTG with charging

Hello, I installed an Asus zenpad c7 in my car two days ago, it's working good except that it plays through the AUX.
I would like to charge and output to a USB dac but my google fu is telling me it's not possible, only on timurs kernel nexus 7.
Any help is appreciated.
