hi guys :
i installed CMW with terminal emulator .
i restarted the phone to check it but it keeps restarting on Samsung logo i cant access the recovery mode but i can enter download mode .
i tried to use Odin but i get this notification USB device not recognized
Hello friends. I´m new in the forums, but I have now a huge problem in my hands.
I have a Samsung SM-T311 and it stopped working days ago. It wouldn't boot or charge. Recently, a message appeared in the screen, "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again".
I can start in Download Mode screen sometimes, with the USB cable in my PC. But as soon as I press "vol up" to enter the Download Mode, it restarts into the "Firmware upgrade encountered..." screen.
So, I have now an incredibly unstable tablet, that won´t boot or charge unless connected in my PC. And even connected, the only thing it shows is that message in the screen. Download Mode is not reachable, so I cant restore it in Kies or Odin, since it cannot be detected.
I know, it´s a mess. But before I send it to any repair services, there´s anything I can do to try and restore my device?
Thanks in advance.

Download your stock firmware from sammobile.com. Flash it using Odin.
The "firmware encountered an error" screen should work the same as the download mode screen. Just connect to pc when you get to that screen and make sure that it is detected in Odin.

It´s not detected by Odin. But thanks for the quick answer anyway.
EDIT: Well, after some effort, could start in download mode. But my computer can´t recognize the device anyway, either in Odin or Kies. It was working perfectly before, don´t think it´s hardware related.
Try reloading the Samsung drivers onto your PC. This may, or may not help. However, not reloading the drivers will keep you in the same state you are in now. Connecting the device and having Odin not recognize it is there tells me the drivers are invalid or corrupted or no longer there. It could also mean your device bootrom is badly damaged.
You may also want to try different USB ports on the PC. When you plug in the device to the computer, you can go to Computer Management / Device Manager and see which port the Samsung is trying to access.
Can you access recovery mode?
Also, try different USB cables.. They are NOT all created equal.
Some will charge.... but not connect to PC for file transfer..
It's real.. try different cables once you've reached D/L mode..
good luck
PS easy way to goto D/L mode is hold 'power' and 'Vol down' together, ONLY
Dont even mess with trying to hold the 'Home" button too..
Hello,
I would like to kindly ask you for help.
Current status of my device SM-T111 (Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Lite 3G) is:
- can’t boot normally
- can’t enter Download mode (Pwr+Home+VolDown)
- can’t enter Recovery mode (Pwr+Home+VolUp)
- when charger is connected, device is starts powering on and off in 1 sec. interval and screen flashing, and showing error screen “Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.”
- when connected to computer via original microUSB cable, there is same issue. Windows 7 Pro x64 indicates USB connecting/disconnecting by typical sound.
-- Kies (which I’ve used in past for backup) is not able to connect device. So I can’t run recovery mode.
-- Odin 3.09 (even I if “kill” all Kies processes before) give is no able to connect device as well. So I can’t flash any AP
- example screen #1 (not from my device) bellow (but flashing on/off in 1 sec. interval)
Step before:
- I’ve rooted my device as written here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2712379 [all worked fine]
- I’ve unrooted device (as I’ve need it) via uploading original ROM via Kies [all has been fine]
- After few months I’ve tried to root device again via same process. But when I uploaded TWRP (same like first time) Screen stuck on TeamWin screen. Example screen #2 (not from my device) bellow.
- I’ve search how to solve this and based on other threads, I’ve tried to flash original ROM via Kies again.
- Unfortunately… it stopped during the process and my device is death
Additional screen info (from my flashing screen):
Odin mode
Product name: SM-T111
Current binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
H/W Version: 0.2
Can you advice what to try to get my device alive again, please?
Any sense making help appreciated.
Quido

Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 GT-P5210 that :
- won't boot : always black screen, no sign of life
- won't charge : when plugged to the wall charger there is no more than 50mAmps out of it
- won't go to downloading mode
- won't go to rescue mode
At first I was thinking of the power connector : changed it -> no more sign of life...
Secondly I was thinking the battery was gone : changed it -> same again...
When plugged to the computer I can see a "CLOVERVIEW" device.
I installed the driver "iSocUSB-Driver-Setup-1.2.0" on a Windows 7 computer I have, plugged the device : recognized !
I then used the "P5210 Boot Repair by Angelo Cruz" : download successful !
But still no luck when trying to power on the tablet...
Does anyone have an idea on what I have to do ?
Thanks for reading me
You used Xfstk downloader successfully? What's your voltage?
Hello,
I now don't have any device detected on Windows
Maybe I'm sending it to the repair shop, don't know if this worth the price...
