Hi All,
I'm looking to upgrade from a Samsung S4 and am considering the LG G4.
I see that I can get either the international version (h815) or the US version (T-mo - h811).
I looked up the specs on the cyanogenmod wiki for both and it looks like either one will work with T-mobile (my carrier).
I also see that there are two major differences:
GSM/LTE bands:
h815:
- GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS850 (B5), UMTS900 (B8), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1)
- LTE2100 (B1), LTE700 (B17), LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE1800 (B3), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1900 (B2), LTE900 (B8), LTE800 (B20), LTE700 (B28)
h811:
- GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS850 (B5), UMTS1700/2100 (B4), UMTS1900 (B2), UMTS2100 (B1)
- LTE850 (B5), LTE1700/2100 (B4), LTE2600 (B7), LTE1800 (B3), LTE1900 (B2), LTE700 (B12)
and the fact that (based on this link) most international G4's have a locked bootloader.
The latter, it seems, has been resolved, judging by this thread.
My question is this: can anyone provide any additional differences between the two models (other than colors)?
Many thanks!

Please, does anybody can upload Brazil Touch Diamond 3G Radio 850/2100 Mhz?
I'd like access 3G frequency in São Paulo.
Duttys V3.5 WWE
Radio 1.00.25.07
Proto 52.29.25.12H
Thks A lot
it's hardware controlled.. unless you have a diamond with north american 3g, you can't just activate it
gsm, that's different. flash with one of the quadband gsm radios
Yes I know there is difference between GSM and 3G frequency. My phone already has GSM 850mhz frequence, but I can't get 3G frequency. As you said maybe its because hardware, but I already search in this forum and nobody confirmed that.
So anyone knows how to get this frequency?
All Diamonds have support for 900/1800/1900/2100 GSM frequencies if your are running an radio version superior to .03.
Although, as being said 3G are hardware related and cant be changed upgrading radio.
European Diamonds comes with 900 / 2100.
North American comes with 850 / 1900.
I cant confirm but I think Brazilian ones operate at 850 and 2100 Mhz.
What are your operator and 3G frequency, and what is your Diamond version?
Operador is Claro SP so it is 850mhz 3G.
If the 3G frequency is related to the hardward, so will I never get 3G signal (only if Claro decides to unable 900/2100mhz frequencies)?
I think my Diamond version is European. It is Diam100, I am using 1.00.25.05; Rom: SwiftBL v.7.5full
Protocol: 52.29.25.12H
So that means the list appears on phone/band is just to decorate? rsrsrs

Yeah, just keep that in automatic.
I have a rooted and unlocked Desire HD and am unable to get internet 2g/3g on my phone. I can get a regular phone connection with the SIM inserted just no mobile data.
Does anyone have any working settings to get mobile data working?
These are settings I have tried but have not worked:
name: icecelular
APN: icecelular
name: kolbi3g
APN: kolbi3g
name: kolbi3g
APN: kolbi3g
proxy: 10.184.202.24
port: 8080

Thanks for any help you can give in helping to get this working.

anyone got any information on this?
I managed to make some headway and got the "H" with the up and down arrow signals and it does say connected to mobile internet, but there is still no internet usage possible.
By now you've likely found this out already... Typical ICE - launch a product and then screw it up.
The note on their website is pasted below. I won't translate word for word. The gist of it: if you bought your SIM after March 7, 2011 you're s**t out of luck for internet but we won't mess with the voice part of your services.
I bet they didn't think through a way to manage data usage by prepaid subscribers and they're "evaluating" a way to manage it. "Evaluate" meaning the kleptocrat in charge of the service is looking to see which vendor will offer him the largest cash bribe.

I know it´s a little late for answering, but at least the info will remain in case that somebody has the same issue. The Desire HD doesn´t operates in the same bands that ICE´s 3G does (850mhz), so you´ll never get nothing but GSM (2G) with that phone, however, AT&T has a version of that phone with those bands, the Inspire 4G.

I can flash the FTF 6503 if the band supports 2600 mhz on my 6506 zl?
sorry for my bad inglish

I'm not sure, but i think not. Altough since i don't have a 4g plan yet, i haven't search it properly. What i was planning to do, was to wait until the 700 MHz band, and then try to make it works. The only problem is that, as far as i know, it isn't clear yet the exact band class where it will run, because in the 700 mhz spectrum, there are several bands, and the c6506 is not compatible with them all.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong xd.
Saludos!
You can flash 6503 baseband. If it not work you can flash back the original baseband.
And in case it not work read this guide to enable LTE band 7
http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...ad-progress-please-leave-im-updating-t2871269
On Step 12
12. Go through those devices until you find MI_04 under the second drop down position.
Click to collapse
Find MI_05 not MI_04
On step 23
23. Go to line 1877, click it and copy the decimal number on the right side of a programme. right click - copy
Click to collapse
Go to line 6828 change value to 1904863
No need to do other step
Press on write NV and then press on file ->write changed NV to the phone.
Reboot and tada you unlock all LTE band that ZL support

saludos.

Do you know force install driver??
If not
Right click on MI_05 item > Properties > Update Driver Software > Browse My Computer > Pick driver folder > Next to the end )
If you use win 8 then disable driver signature enforcement before install driver

I could get to step 19 but can not find this anywhere.
19. Navigate to QPST/bin and open RV_NV_Manager.exe
in the ZIP file does not appear, either in the QPST program
WHY???

friend, I was able to step 23, but now is not getting to the line 6828, the list only goes to line 5700.

that I can do?
The c6506 is compatible with the LTE Band Class XVII (700 MHz), and i did read in a forum a while ago, that the new 700 MHz band, wil be the LTE Band Class XLIV, so...maybe the only option we have is (as zcop said): flash the c6503 baseband or directly activate the Band Class VII (2600 MHz) as you are trying to do now.
If i'd have plan, i'd try it, but i don't xD (LTE is not available for prepaid costumers yet)
Bueno dado que no puedo ayudar mucho, solo me queda desearte suerte :V

So that baseband doesnt include LTE configs or RV Manager cannot read all RV configs
Give QXDM a try, if it doesnt show then flash C6503 is only option )
Here QXDM in the middle of the post

Hi all.
I'm just wondering about changing base band to my LG G3 D858HK (Double Sim) can enable use LTE in Mexico.
I read about the network of Telcel uses the BAND LTE 4 (as ATT in USA) and I cannot configure to use it so actually in the stock rom with the stock baseband can only use 3G.
Is it possible? What baseband should be used? From what country?
Thanks in the advance.
1) FD-LTE : 2100(B1) / 1800(B3) / 2600(B7) MHz;
2) TD-LTE : 2600(B38) / 1900(B39) / 2300(B40) MHz
Mientras telcel usa la banda BC4 que se compone de 1700MHz y 2100MHz.
Asi que lamentablemente no lo podemos cambiar
