Hi guys, i'm quite a noob here so pls help me. My main microphone stoped working(i mean it's not as loud as it was and people can't hear me and it's annoying..) i know that this device has 2 mics, so i wonder if i can switch the microphones or just make the 2nd mic work on phone calls. Can u guys help me?

When im making a phone call i, the receiver dosnt hear clearly. If i change to speaker and headset it very clear. So does the voice record dosnt make a record clearly..
Can everyone help me please? I already remove batt, restart. But useless.

Its very difficult to diagnose this problem, so rather would suggest you to take it to Service Center and get it checked could be Mic problem(Hardware issue) or you could backup your data do a factory reset and try once.
I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to ask you whether it was a hardware problem or not and whether you fixed it or not (and how). My brother is suffering from the exact issue. The other end hears him well only when he's on speaker or using any headphones with a mic. Volume in voice recordings in WhatsApp is also very low.

I am suffering from the same issue as described here.
I belief the Note 2 has 2 microphones. During taking a call the one at the Home button is active which seems broken.
The other one on the top is active in loudspeaker mode, which still works.
In regular phone mode, the caller hears me a little if background noise supression is deactivated.
I tried several ROMs since I beliefed I must be a software issue. Now I think it just is a broken mic.
Since I changed my mid-frame I belief my warranty is gone.

Since yesterday my daughter has the same on her xp. s; but both of microphone are very bad quality; I dont know whats going on...

Same problem here. My voice is very muffled and to be honest I'm getting tired with having to shout down the phone. Everyone says it sounds like I'm underwater or have my hand over my mouth.
Anyone know what's caused this? On the Trinity Vengeance RaptorXL 2.5 JB ROM

I've been trying to work this out for months. There have been a LOT of posts about this on the Sony forums, but no one has a definitive fix yet. Some people have fixed theirs by turning off noise suppression. Others have fixed it by turning off vibrate when ring. Others have restored their firmware 3 or 4 times before it went back to normal.
My fix was to press the volume rocker a few times when picking up the call. This would normally work, however lately it hasn't been doing a thing.

Neither the person on other can't hear my voice either via earpiece secondary mic headphones or earphone
It only happens in calls
I have already tried disabling Google assistant but it didn't help
I have already tried clean flashing it also didn't help
Even I have tried audio rerouting apps didn't help
I have calls volume at Max

Did you use recorder to record something. Is it recording properly and able to hear sound while playing back?

I followed mikes guide zukeurope forum
Flashed mijus file that is 2.0.0.93 and later flashed
2.5.1.04 ST by astrobiswas
Then flashed back to cardinal aosp
With flying colors everything working absolutely perfect

Since several months I cannot use my earphore (jack connector) with lineageos during phone calls
Indeed, I always hear the sound coming from the built-in microphone inside the earphone.
This is really annoying.
