Hi
While I was updating so many apps at the same time on the market the last two apps stuck at "installing" i tried stopping them but there was no option to do so.. tried to install another app but the install button only turned grey. So I waited till the two app that were stuck disappeared.
When I looked for those two apps they were not in my device and the "install" button shows on their market page (instead of "uninstall" like other installed apps) as they are not actually installed!
The strange thing is that I noticed few apps missing (like angry birds) even though they were not with the apps I recently updated.
Another strange thing is that I cannot uninstall any app it gets stuck at the uninstalling screen (uninstalling from Settings>>Applications)
Tried rebooting, taking the battery off, taking the SD card off, clearing the cache from the recovery menu... but none of those worked!
Any help please?
EDIT: You might want to know that my phone is rooted. Do you guys thing the problem is related to the SD card?
The disk drive does not show in my computer when I connect the usb cable! (I choose Disk Drive not Charge Only on my phone)
I'm about to wipe the memory.. Does any of you have an idea how to solve this? I really don't want to delete everything!
I had to reset to factory settings when I had the same problem.
It just drives me crazy to have apps auto update especially on expensive data. For some reason my stock market doesn't work anymore at all in my phone, I tried to install a fresh download of market but still wont help so I removed it permanently from system apps and the phone became free of the so many force-close errors I was getting with most apps and runs very smoothly. I usually get apps through apk downloader. Am using sdext2 for the installed apps. Is there anyway of disabling apps from automatically updating themselves but have internet access for social media apps?
Problem solved, I got a terminal command that does it perfectly.
mod you can delete this now
Hi there,
Recently I saw that I cannot uninstall apps from the Google Play store. Usually when viewing an app that is installed on my device, there are options for "open" or "uninstall".
The "uninstall" option is not present right now. I noticed this only a day ago (relative to the post date of this post)
The only major changes I know I have made to my device are that I moved a few apps to the "2nd partition" of the SD card via Link2SD, and I put a large amount of videos on the main partition of my SD card (though I don't know why this would affect Google Play not being able to uninstall stuff)
I have a rooted Tab S running stock (no custom ROMs), and I am running Lollipop and have disabled OTA updates
Any ideas?
I am in the same boat RE missing the uninstall option in Google Play Store. I even did a clean re-install of the ROM (IronRom 2.5) I'm using, with no success.
Hopefully the option reappears again soon. It's a pain to have to uninstall via settings.
EDIT: Also having the same issue on my old Motorola Xoom tablet that my daughter is now using - running OmniRom 4.4.4.
Have you done anything like moving apps using Link2SD or anything?
I think this could be a cause for this problem...
I recently uninstalled Link2SD from my device and since then the Uninstall option has come back in Google Play
I am new to androidwear. I have installed latest MM update 6.0.1.
for first time I installed a lot of apps to watch.
had to factory reset due to low storage problem and android not responding only 100mb was left on watch
Couldnot remove apps from watch and phone. my phone was rebooting if I tried to uninstall
After new rom installation and installing again android wear. I only restored few apps back for watch on my phone via titanium.
Strange is that all apps previously before factory restore have again auto installes and I have just 500mb free on watch again
I have searched google. xda everywhere all threads here but I have failed to understand why all apps are auto installing
Does Cloudsync auto restores android wear apps from cloud??
I have apk files for android wear like apps and watches stored on my external storage does Android Wear autoinstalls it from there
My mind has gone crazy
why the apps which are not installed on my phone
and were present on my watch before factory reset
have started reappearing
is it due to clould sync or some settings on phone
or is it due to pressing "resync apps onwatch" option in android wear app on phone
I am new to android wear as I had previously gear s. Please please any help from anyone will be highly Appreciated
Thanks in Advance
I've exactly the same problem.
Removed Pujie Black from my phone, removed Android Wear app (including delete data) and reinstalling it.
After reset and pairing the watch I got the Pujie Black app again on the watch.
Any help welcome!
i did a lot of factory resets removed android wear app . The thing which finally resolved it was
clearing data of google play services which was 750mb once i cleared it via app manager on phone
.this also contains restore back data for your watch
it doesnot occur now anymore
Yeah, found the same solution yesterday. Clearing the Play Services Cache (+ Wearable Cache) solved the problem (and not only this one!).
Many SIDELOADED apps do not display the app's icon when viewed in the app library. The apps installed correctly and launch as they should. The icons themselves simply show a grayed out broken link picture. These same apps had none of these issues upon install on the 1st Gen Cube.
Attempts to fix:
Cleared cache
Cleared data
Deleted and reinstalled each app
Restarted device
Factory reset device
Software updates are current
TV App Repo doesn't work of course
Even tried to install the launcher version from the 1st Gen Cube onto the 2nd Gen Cube but it will not execute. Tried to delete the launcher and install the 1st Gen version but I don't have root access to do so.
Any suggestions to help?

On fire cube 1 generation, this happens as well. Some apps icons aren’t recognized by FireTV.

The icon size doesnt fit the TV icon format. I personally use appstarter to see all apps when needed.
