returning from standby, i dont wanna go to Today Screen

When I turn on my phone from standby, I don't want to see the home screen--I want it to start back up right where I left it. i used to be able to do that, but i don't know what disabled it...its weird...im on shadow...anyone know how i can go back to normal? and my Today screen timeout is disabled..

Are you running any other software that has a "home screen" (such as SPB Mobile Shell)?

Hi! I have the same problem. I am running SPB Pocket Plus with Diary/Shell/Weather and also Phonealarm on Todayscreen. I think i checked all the options for an entry that can cause this. But maybe I have missed one...anybody got a hint? (SPB Shell Todayscreen is not activated)

for the today screen, its just the default HTC Home....and im certain that isnt causing it...i am running SPB Phone suite... but all options are disabled except picture call logs.

I use WAD soo.. whatever I had open when i go into standby it kind of stays on.. example:

WM Lock Password Fix

I have a request: The standard WM 6.5 Lock is beautiful except for the fact that it requires a password. I just want to lock the device, not to password it! How do I do it? Can someone at least point me in the right direction? I can't be the only Joe here who has wanted this fix. Has it been fixed already?
I'm using NFSFAN's 6.5 21728 V13 GENERIC CARRIER ROM. (and love it I may add)

I know I'm no expert but that is exactly the dilemma. I do as you note, and uncheck, "Prompt if phone is unused for" there is no lock at all.
When the power button is hit accidently in my pocket there is no screen lock which I don't like. When I try to enable the lock without a password I get the message:
Password Error - Please anter another password. The password must be at least 4 characters and not contain a simple sequence (e.g. 111 or 1234)"
Think of the Iphone. Hit power button, Slide to unlock, takes you to the home screen. Thats what I want with the standard windows lock system. Am I making sense?

WM6.5 lock screen.

i have a att tilt 2 it is running the stock rom. my problem is that when i hit start and lock on the bottom of the screen the screen locks but it doesnt use the new WM lock screen it just shows the htc homescreen and im not able to touch anything. it like it defaulted to the old lockscreen. basically is there a way to get the new WM locksceen back. i looked at all the settings.

Winmo 6.5 Lock
Hey... I have mamaged to get the default winmo lock to run. I installed a program called "Smart Lock". You can google it. Unfortunately I do not have the link to where I downloaded it before.

I think its in:
Settings->Lock->display
then change unlock display to windows default

How to show several appointments on the standard lockscreen
Have searched for a while to find a reg tweak or something else to get the lockscreen to show several appoinments. I know I can use the CHT lockscreen, but I don't want to use it. Don't have time to search/find out how to do it.., any who has the sollution ready? I know it's out there, because I have noticed some ROM's have it.. Thanks!

WM lock shows only 1 appointment. Other 3rd party screen lock apps can show more detailed info, this is what I use (pocketshield)

Hi rkrims, thanks! I am sure that I had a ROM that did show several appointments, but can't remember who it was... Can't be that difficult to change it to show several...

You know you can access the Lock screen by just holding down the right phone hard key for several seconds? You don't have to leave the Home screen and click Lock to do it.

Anyone know why my phone does a random reboot but doesn't fully turn off? The radio loses signal turns O then homescreens refresh then phone starts up but the time is wrong and sim Pin doesn't show. Takes a reboot to adjust time and sim pin

It was actually 11 & not 3....Im getting force closes but its staggering and non app specific just random vibration then whatever Im doing works again

What ROM are you running? and any MODS flashed? I had the time update problem yesterday morning on stock ICS that was just released after installing ADW EX Launcher. I just did a re-flash and let the ROM settle longer and it seemed to fix it. Now I'm running TDJ's new ICS release and its all seamless. As far as random reboots I have no idea.
Also for the time issue you can check in settings > date and time > Automatic date and time in order to use network-provided time, make sure that's checked, if unchecked then manually set the time yourself.

Screen black during calls

When I make or answer a call and put my phone up to my ear the proximity sensor kicks in and the screen shuts off. However, when I take the phone away from my ear the screen doesn't turn on again. Sometimes(maybe 25% of the time) I can press the power button to wake up the screen but usually the screen is just stuck off until the call is ended. I don't even have a screen protector that might be getting in the way.
Anyone else having this issue?

Haven't had this issue and I used stock for a while, the same build as you are on.. What were you on before? Did you use any scripts or kernel tweaking apps that may have left something on your SD card? I'd look using root explorer or another file manager and delete anything you see in that folder etc/init.d and reboot. (Screenshot attached) If you have nothing in there and don't have any scripts active or kernel apps controlling your screen off I guess it could be faulty hardware. (Power buttons always are jacked up on Nexus devices. I have to hit mine a few times to get it to work...) Maybe try a factory reset if nothing above applies or works that's what I would do. Copy all your stuff to your laptop or a cloud and wipe that baby in twrp. Format data then go to security settings and encrypt again if that's what you want..

If none of that works I'd contact Google and ask for a replacement.
