Some sms notifications are played, but no facebook messenger, no ordinary facebook notification sounds, telegram doesn't notify with MW1 and so on. I've unpaired them, deleted cache and data from the apps, nothing seems to work. It used to work when i just got the phone but after some weeks it went downhill.
I've tried messing around with Soundabout, but to no avail.

So I am using Kavanas 6.1 ROM and have been for a few months with no problem.
I have been noticing that I am getting the "unread message alert" (kavana rom feature) 15 minutes after receiving my e-mail with out hearing my normal e-mail sound going off the moment I get it. This just started happening for no apparent reason. I havent installed any new apps or anything.
My MMS and SMS sounds are fine and they go off as normal. In "Settings" the e-mail alert sound is there and can be played. I shut my phone down and removed the battery for a few mins and retested it, still no alert sound when I receive my email. I then changed the e-mail alert sound to the same sound that I use for my SMS, retested, still no sound. Soft reset, still no sound. Shut down and removed battery for a few minutes, retested, still no sound.
I am stumped. I checked all my Settings for sounds and my profile and everything is normal. I even checked e-mail settings for some type of sounds options, even tho I was pretty sure there was none, and I was right, there is none.
I just dont get it... This ever happen to anyone else?
hi, since yesterday whenever i receive a facebook notification, the notification sounds play 3 times in really quick succession. like "pop, pop, pop" instead of just one pop. I tried changing the notification ringtone to something else within the app and it still plays 3 times in quick succession.
if i select a ringtone which is a bit longer e.g. "1-2-3", it cuts it to play it as "1-2, 1-2, 1-2-3"... just to give you an idea what is happening.
any ideas? tried rebooting, reinstalling etc but still same

i have a problem with my Nexus 5x. Since 1h I don't have ( almost ) notification sounds. WhatsApp, Gmail etc are all "muted". Regular calls ring, WhatsApp calls don't. I don't have the - not disturb - Mode on and i have rebooted my device three times. I didn't change anything! My Phone is not rooted, and have the latest update. My speaker is fine, i can hear music through Spotify, YouTube etc. My device is two weeks old.
I apologize for my bad english, i hope you can understand..

Have you tried to change notification sound? Every notification is muted?
I've a similar problme, when I start a call from my smartwatch, after the call's end, my notification sound totally disappears. But a reboot solve the problem.

Suddenly my text notifications stopped working. I still get the texts but no notification. No sound or vibration. I've tried several different apps but the only one that gives me notifications is Google Messages. Any ideas?
I have a G7 ThinQ (G710EM) and have encountered a strange issue with WhatsApp notifications. For a number of contacts the notifications remain silent. I have tried to mute and unmute them, but I can't seem to get an audible notification from these contacts. My wife being the most important to me, but others are also impossible to unmute. Other contacts, however, are perfectly audible. They can be muted when desired, and also unmuted again, no problem. I can't seem to find anyone describing a similar problem.
I have allready flashed several different ROM's, but the problem persists. I have completely removed an re-installed WhatsApp countless times, again, to no avail.
Help!
