hi !
In theory : what happen (with a LP rooted and the last flashfire of Chainfire inside the phone ) if we flash Genesys MM for example or a MM firmware rooted .zip flashable created ???
...a bad idea ?!
I bet it's not signed and it would not boot
Sent from my LG-H818 using Tapatalk
Flash fire will flash it but nobody help us to create Rom.zip
And a few days ago i flashed system.img but it says not enough space because flashfire can't format system partition

It's impossible beacuse you have to set SELinux into permissive mode in order to get your root access working, and this cannot be done with a locked bootloader. I already gave up the hope that one day we'll have an unofficial bootloader unlock. No devs, and the last one has already gave up too.
thank for reply
or there are no more hacking development ...or we definitively have lost the hope to have a MM rooted for locked phones...

Hi everyone!
So after unlocking my bootloader following Sony's guide, I restarted the phone but it got stuck in the bootanimation. The good news is that I had flashed CWM, the bad news is that the phone still gets stuck on the boot animation even With the Official CyanogenMod 11...
I really don't know what I must do and I can't find something concrete about my problem.
The bootloader can be unlocked, I've tested (with the code) before attempting anything. I have also the 4.3 update and followed a guide. I did flash the boot.img via fastboot. That's it. And the Xperia M I'm owning is a C1905.
I hope you people can help me, thanks in advance !
This happened to me the other day. Just reflash the 4.3 with flashtool, it will fix the bootloop. After that you can do whatever you want. Here is a link to download the stuff you need:

Cheers

Second of all you do not have any problem.
The point is that you unlocked the bootloader while you have a rooted modified rom, right?
So after unlocking it do a factory reset, and due to modified system partition you are stuck on boot screen.
The solution is very simple, use flash tool and flash android 4.3 tft.
Then start your phone and make sure it boot up at least one time on stock firmware before starting with cm11 flash procedures.
Good-luck.

Ohh thank you ! I've downloaded the *.tft and flashed it back, after a long flashing process, it worked. What's not cool is that it took too ling to boot and all that time I was very very stressed xD !

Not really, I tried to unlock the bootloader with the stock ROM so I could root it, install CWM and install other ROMs, flasing back the *.tft fixed that, thanks for the advice ! Finally, I'm really sorry for posting in the wrong thread, I was a little bit stressed and struggling for help ^^' ...

the bootloader isn't unlocked(ever) we just use a workaround , you need to revert to kitkat first for this to work and you can install twrp by following the instructions HERE

this method requires you to downgrade(only bootloader) and is more dangerous then the regular downgrading approach. just downgrade you could enjoy have enjoyed a rom by now(while you were searching for the correct images

what list ? how i can know if my bootloader is unlocked ?
None of the G4s except the 815EU and H811 (TMo) variant have an unlocked bootloader available. The H815 you have to get unlocked via the LG support site and the H811 is unlocked by default from TMobile.

Hi all,i am new here. I have my g3 d855 for 6 months. I rooted it,i have supersu, android 5.0,bought from UK. It was locked on vodafone,i unlocked it using imei. Now i have 2 questions:
1. If i resintall stock firmware(KK 4.4.2) ,my phone will be again locked on vodafone?
2. After i rooted it,i tried flash TWRP using flashify,it said it was successful, but when i tried enter in recovery mode,it said:boot security error. I finally succeed installing TWRP using autorec. Now,the question:can i upgrade android if i have twrp, thinking that soon android 6.0 will be out?(i will unroot it first using SuperSU settings).
I have stock 5.0 ,but if i try restore stock recovery it appears again boot error security. Thanks for patience and i hope i dont bother anyone,im still learning to use my phone

You simply dont want tot do that you need to wait for a original ROM that is modded ( just a simpel ROM with root en some uptions disabled like update ets ) why ??? Tot keep your bootloader the way it is now . if you still want original lg ROM you still can like always ( you can always flash a original ROM aslong you dont have a hardware failure ALWAYS !
If iets still locked if flashed normale ROM i dont know , i never go to original.( first thing i do is removing original ROM for ever !)

You can buy from any carrier you want. You don't need to unlock your bootloader with the g3

The G3 has an exploit called bump! which fools the phone into thinking it is receiving genuine LG images(i think that's how it goes), so there is no need to unlock the bootloader. Our custom ROMs come signed already, so just flash like you normally would.
& FWIW the vs985(verizon) comes carrier unlocked out of the box so any sim should work...you just need to manually set up the APN for data.
Thanks for your reply

First you'll root your phone.
Then, you'll install autorec so you can have a custom recovery.
Then you can flash any rom you like that's compatible with your phone model.
