hard-brick after downgrading from cm-12.2 - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

i was trying to downgrade my i747 from cm-12-20141220-UNOFFICIAL-d2att.zip to a ROM that i downloaded from sammobile site for i747
PDA I747UCDLK3
CSC I747ATTDLK3
i used Odin 3.9 to flash the new ROM
odin showed pass in green and the installation was a success
when my phone restarted all is black no vibration and when i remove my battery and connect my phone to my PC the red led turns on. (i was told those are the signs that my phone is hard bricked)
i tried using a jig but my phone wont start
i was told to find a debrick.img
because i have no jtag equipment nor the experience
Is their a debrick.img for this problem ? :fingers-crossed:
please help
any response will help
thanks in front

Once the phone is running a 4.3. or newer bootloader, you can never flash any bootloader that is older than 4.3.

Hi everybody I have a big problem with my ATT galaxy s3 after I brick it(Newbie). And then I installed a 4.4.2 rom and it works now but my imei is null and the baseband is unknown and I cant connect to wifi. I have tried all solutions in the web efs pro, Qpst , nv writer and nothing fixed it the nv writer showed that the spc is incorrect and the efs pro showed that the injection of the imei was successfully but nothing happened in the cellphone. I tried to flash the 4.1.1 stock rom because I bought it with it but odin fail and triangle away too(I trip the counter).(I dont have a backup of my efs)

What bootloader and modem is on your phone?
Do not attempt to flash anymore stock ROMs on your phone until you know the current bootloader. Sounds like you have at least a 4.3 bootloader and attempts to downgrade the bootloader can brick you phone.

[Q] SGH-I747 with SGH-T999 (No-LTE) Bootloader. Can I Odin flash back to SGH-I747?

Hello everybody,
I have bricked my device once (SGH-I747 AT&T) by flashing wrong bootloader to my phone (It's a very noobish mistake, I know) and I had to pay someone to unbrick it by using a J-Tag but this person told me he was "unable to install SGH-i747 bootloaders" and now I'm unable to use LTE because I have a Non-LTE bootloader and modem. I've tried flashing T999L modems but no SIM card/IMEI recognized so I had to go back to T999 modem. The questions are:
Can I Odin flash SGH-I747 bootloader I747UCUEMJ2 without bricking my phone?
My phone is unlocked to use with any operator, will it remain unlocked after this?
My IMEI will be ok after this?
My phone information is:
Baseband: T999UVUEMJC
Bootloader: T999UVUEMJC
Android Version: Lineage 7.0.1
RIL Version: 3.0
Thanks in advance.
I have never heard of anyone being able to flash a T999 bootloader onto an i747.
Did the phone come from AT&T? Did the phone have the AT&T boot screen?
Did you verify the phone's model # in download mode before bricking?

Thanks for your answer.
Yes, the phone was AT&T, it also says SGH-i747 behind the battery and it was I747 model on settings. It had a 4.1 custom rom when my brother gave it to me. I tried to upgrade it to 4.3 but I didn't know about bootloader stuff and tried to flash a bootloader using twrp so I've bricked the phone. The only way to unbrick it was with j-tag and the person who did this told me he was able to do so with T999 firmwares so now I have a T999 no-lte phone. Would it be risky to change it back with Odin to I747 bootloader and modem? Is there any safe way to do this?
Thanks again.
You can't cross-flash bootloaders with Odin, TWRP, or CWM without the possibility of -rebricking.
Does the IMEI in the phone (dial *#06#) match the imei on the label under the battery?
I'm very surprised that the phone's bootloader had to be cross-flashed. Where did you get the bootloader that you flashed?

Yes, the IMEI matches. I do not remember where I got that bricker bootloader, neither the installed one (as it was not flashed by me). I can remember that when I received the phone after unbrick, it was SIM locked so I had to give the phone again to this person to fix the SIM-Lock. As far as I know, AT & T I747 is unlocked, so my phone totally became T999.
Any safe way to try this? Or will I be using T999 forever?
Thanks again.
Boot into download mode and confirm that the model # is sgh-t999. If it is, you're stuck.
I've readed that full back to stock might help but it's nearly the same process of flashing everything so I'm not sure...

It says T999 all the way lol. I think I'm stuck.
Thanks buddy.
Sorry, you are stuck with T-mobile ROMs.
Your post is the first oneI have seen where an AT&T s3 has been transformed via jtag into a T999.

As this is an old device, I will try to flash it back to SGH-I747 bootloader before buying another phone. If succeed or not I will tell you the results here. Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying my T999 :silly:
Thanks.

[Help] Unbricking GS3 and Installing Stock Firmware

I had bought a GS3 a few years back but never used it. Had some carrier issues as all the SIMs here in India were not supported. Ever since I bricked my Moto E, I decided to start using it again.
I realised that the sticker on the rear of my phone says it's I9300 (International Version) of the S3 but the firmware and bootloader in downloader mode shows it as SGH-747 which I believe is the d2att device. I decided to try and flash the I9300 bootloader and flash the I9300 firmware using Odin to sort my carrier network issues (modem difference issues maybe). Ended up causing a hard brick on my phone didn't turn on properly.
I used the bootloader debrick image from: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358549813 and was able to boot my phone into download mode. I assume it's the I747 image which helped me turned on my phone although the battery and rear panel says it's I9300. Nevertheless, I downloaded the 4.0.4 firmware from AndroidMTK.com to flash on my bootloader to completely debrick the device. Downloaded the I747 as the debrick I downloaded earlier bootloader is I747 one.
I tried flashing the firmware and get the below error:
Code:
WARRANTY BIT: 1
BOOTLOADER AP SWREV: 3
SW REV CHECK FAIL: Fused 3 > Binary 0
Is my bootloader a Kitkat Bootloader? Am I flashing the wrong firmware? Should I flash the 4.4.2 firmware and see if it works? Would really appreciate if anyone could guide me here. I really want to unbrick my phone.
I can access my TWRP by using the debrick image from a SD Card. I tried booting into TWRP and Flashing CM 12.1, Lineage 14.1 and Slim 6. I have previously used these three roms on the device. Now, they won't boot after getting installed. I'm stuck at bootlogo when rebooting. Would appreciate any help.
Can anyone help out with this?
Are you able to determine the model # with the phone in download mode?
Since there is mention of "warranty bit", the phone must be running a 4.3 or newer bootloader which cannot be downgraded.
AT&T never released a full Odin-flashable firmware after 4.1.1.

The phone model is the SGH-747. It's the AT&T variant. Which firmware should I flash then?

Galaxy S9 firmware help - will not load anything other than combination

Trying to save an S9, SM-G960U[SS] G960USQU9AUA1, Not sure of original carrier it is locked to, Canadian version likely either Telus or Bell
Wanted to upgrade to 10 or try lineage, flashed combination to unlock USB debugging and developer options, this worked
However cannot flash anything else, using patched ODIN
TWRP fails auth(fail), some US ones have the boot loader locked and it cannot be replaced?
Any firmware I can find fails - auth(fail)
Only one worked from a SM-G960W, it will load with ODIN but just boot loops
I don't think its a problem with ODIN as it can flash combination and the W version, just not anything else
Is there any hope for this thing or just scrap bin? Not sure what else to try
