increase brightness on low battery - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Q&A, Help & Troubl

Hello everyone. I am trying to calibrate my battery but I can not increase brightness when under 10% and its waaaay too low. My note is rooted 5.1.1.
The reason I want to calibrate the battery is that when on 20%, after reboot, it goes to 45%. Is it a good solution to completely drain and then charge the battery (at least one time)?

Battery increasing when idle

Has anyone had this problem, er... fortune? My BA seems to actually increase its battery life when I leave on idle. I have it underclocked to -20% when idle and overclocked to +33% (Full overclock) when cpu load is over 50%. So while in use the battery drains very quickly, but when it is left on idle or when I suspend all programs on my phone I actually gain battery life of about 4-8% per hour. Is this a normal thing?
I've never had that happen to me, it sounds like a dodgy battery metre. But I’m not sure. Very strange.
My BA behaves in a similar-but-different manner: when charging, the battery shows a decreasing charge... and when it reaches 0, jumps back to whatever the real charge is. So I'm guessing a faulty battery meter as well.

[Q] Effect of 1 bump charge?

Hey guys,
I know that bump charging dramatically improves battery life. I also know that it kills your battery. However after doing just one bump I have dramatically increased battery life. Sitting at 70% when I would be at ~40% normally. I was just wondering if just doing 1 bump is as bad as the normal 3+ method. I am hoping it won't degrade my battery because there is still room left to charge.
Can anyone comment on this?

[Q] Battery question - How much 'Display time' do you get?

Hey guys. First thread.
On average, under battery use, my (AMOLED) display uses around 75% of my battery. I can usually get around 3 hours of display time before my battery dies.
I'm running Cyanogenmod 7.0.3, I've got SetCPU on 245min 614max, ONDEMAND.
The kernel is untouched, but I will consider changing it soon once I find one thats good with battery life.
So then, how much display time do you all get? As this seems to be the main battery eater. This basically reflects on how long you've used the phone too.
By the way, brightness levels fluctuate between 75% and 100%. So yeah its always bright too.
Thanks in advance for the posts. It's appreciated
I've never found Battery Use to be accurate on Gingerbread roms for some reason. It always seems to take a high percentage (around 50%?) despite the phone being used maybe 10 minutes a day and lasting without a charge for up for 2 days 12 hours.
Froyo (when I had Sense) didn't have Display taking up a high percentage and looked more accurate of how the battery was being used.

[Q] Battery life increasing after several minutes?

I recently switched from the standard battery to the extended battery. I'm running an unrooted, unlocked stock phone. I have drained it to 0 and charged it to 100 (with the device off) several times.
However, each time I drain it to 0 over the course of a day, I notice times where the battery life actually increases from minute to minute. In particular, if I use the phone for awhile, and then stop using it for awhile, when I resume, the battery life is slightly above where it was before I stopped using it.
The increase is proportional to how long I wait. I have seen up to a 5 percent increase after a single break (maybe 15 percent adding up all the breaks over a single drain).
Does this mean that I am not getting the full potential from my battery, or that it has to be calibrated? If so, is there anything I can do short of rooting the phone? I'm getting about 3 hours of browsing time a day (that alone, combined with time not using the phone, drains it from 100 to 0).
This is normal behaviour, i've seen it on the stock battery. It's just the battery "recovering" after a large current draw. The system reports the battery level from actual voltage of the battery. With li-ion or li-po batteries, the voltage decrease is fairly linear in respect to it's charge level so it's a good indicator of battery status. However, if you take this to extreme levels for the sake of explaination, if you were to short the battery out (high current) the terminal voltage would collapse to virtually zero, then if you removed the short the battery terminal voltage would slowly increase to its (now moderately reduced) charge level. What you are seeing is this effect at a lesser level.

Battery drain issue?

Hi,
i just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 Wifi. The tablet is really great but the battery drain is a joke. I lost about 10% over night in standby. I turned off Wifi, enabled eco mode and all the time the "Anroid System" service take 40-50% off battery consumption. But there are no wakelocks (e.g. Display on time for example 30 min and System process 40min.). Before i got the Pro 8.4 i own a Tab 3 and there the battery drained 10% in one week, if not in usage. Somebody else having this problem? Maybe my magnet cover causes a sensor error, which drains battery? Or haven´t the battery reached max capacity through charging? The Tablet is not rooted.
Is the tablet brand new, like the last day or so? If so, you need to go through a full discharge cycle (drain to 10% or so, then charge to full) in order to properly calibrate the high and low flags on the battery meter. The meter is often not properly calibrated out of the box.

Yes i get is factory new on friday last week and charged it 2 times since that. But i was never below 20% battery. I will try that this time. Thank you!
