LG G4 call log not working - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey folks.... I have a LG G4 and a Flex 2 both with the same problem. Both are rooted and flashed from sprint to boost. The call log is not working at all. Can not see missed calls or calls placed.
I found one artical blaming the sim card not matching the true phone number and you had to chang the inturnal stores number of the sim card to your phone number nynusing an iphone to change it on the sim card. Any suggestions or comments here are truely welcome.

6.1 problems?

I just recently uprgraded to 6.1 and had no problems for a few days but the last few days ive been getting text messages late and people are receiving mine late and more then 1 of the same message.Could there be a promlem with the new Rom ???? Could my service be having temporary problems or could it be my phone? What the best explanations from the pros
It's not uncommon to receive late text messages. More than likely it's the carrier. Rebooting your phone may help reduce lost or missing txt messages.
Could be an issue with the sim card also. Thats what T-Mobile told me anyway. Was having the same issue, and people would call me, but the phone would not ring, and I would suddenly have a voice mail. New sim card and no more problems

That's probably not so much the SIM card as the HLR that the SIM card is tied to or the MSC that is processing the call. Basically, the data required to communicate with all SIM cards is stored on the HLR, and if something isn't correct with the datafill on the HLR or the MSC, then problems could happen. A new SIM card would mean a new HLR (or at least a different SIM card range on the HLR) and could eliminate problems.
Perfectly stated. I would recommend getting a new SIM card if the problem persists because it will tend to fix the problem.

I've been on the phone for similar problems with t-mobile for a total of about 4 hours, and they've never been able to give me a solution. How do I get a new sim? Tell them mine's broken and i need a new one? I don't think tech support would just give me one like that. Tell them that I took mine out and it fell in the couch cushions? Would there be a charge for a lost sim?

[Q] Galaxy Nexus Japan SIM

Hi
I'm visiting Japan and have an unlocked Galaxy Nexus. The SIM card that borrowed for Japan from eMobile doesnt seem to work in my phone. The difference between this and the usual SIM card I use is that this one has a circular metal part while my usual SIM is rectangular. Is there some way in which I can fix this to work ? I asked a boffin in Akihabara eMobile shop, but he just pointed out this difference, but I find it hard to believe that this can make a difference.
What did happen the first time I installed it was it asked me to make a voice mail call to some number but I couldn't since there was no service ! The SIM and service work fine in an older Huawei handset provided to me by the people from whom I got the SIM but I would like to be able to use my phone for several reasons.
Any pointers or suggestions ? Some google searching said that you should turn it off and on a couple of times - did that to no avail.

I am poor at English, and since translation was not able to be changed well, either, it writes in in the understood range.
Seemingly, the sim card of emobile cannot be used in galaxy nexus.
Seemingly, only a telephone call will be possible.
Please use nttdocomo or softbank, if you would like to use packet communication.
Since galaxy nexus is sold if it is nttdocomo, this is recommended.

[Q] Thought all Verizon 4G phones were carrier unlocked.

Greetings.
It seems I'm facing a weird problem here.
To begin with, I live in Europe and I've just bought a Verizon M8.
After boot, a pop up reads that this sim card is not from Verizon.
Although, my sim card CAN receive calls and messages (there is also the app from my carrier services) I cannot make any calls.
What happens is that when I'm trying to dial a number, +1 appears in front of the phone number and call is dropped.
+1 is the phone code for the US.
Well, I don't want this.
I thought every single Verizon 4G phone was carrier unlocked out-of-the-box.
To be honest, I know it, because there is some kind of legislation forcing Verizon to sell their 4G phones unlocked.
Could anyone please help me?
What should I do?
Flash another firmware? And which one?

for the first issue of prefix:
Go to Settings>Call>Assisted Dialling. - Here select your country in "current country"& "reference country"
If that does not work, turn off assisted dialling itself
Member Dodge DeBoulet's suggested this already and worked.
Thanks anyway, man. Good to know there is help when it's needed.

[Q] australia bought phone not working in uk

hi guys
I have recently got back from australia where i bought an unlocked note 2 7105t. I have used the phone in oz with no dramas and with different sims. As it was unlocked i thought it would be ok to use in the uk. I have put an orange sim card in and its not blocking it but i cannot make any calls even to the customer service number. Check balance or find out what my phone number is
I have also tried with a friends sim card and i couldn't make any calls with that either. No errors are given and it reads the sim.
Does anyone know what is wrong
Its driving me mad!!
Thanks in advance
Change the modem and baseband....and try again.....:good:
hi i dont think that works

LG G3 unlocked but won't work on 3 network

Hello people,
I just bought a LG G3 855 phone, from a person who bought it sim free from carphone warehouse. It works with all other sim cards including virgin, tesco, and lyca but will not work with my 3 sim.
What can I do?
This is a UK phone LG G3 855 model, works with other sim cards but will not recognise 3 sim card, it says insert sim the signal has a cross and a sim card symbol is displayed with a cross signifying no sim car in the phone although it is definitely in there and the sim works in other phones perfectly. even tried a new 3 sim card only to experience the same.

I have a D855 which I bought at Carphone Warehouse and the SIM works fine with Three (though the f'ing voicemail notification never goes away). I do remember they sent a bunch of SMS's when I first joined to automatically configure my phone to work on their network, though I suspect this was for the data rather than voice.
In any event, I'd change the apn settings manually and maybe you'll have some luck. Google the settings for 3, I wasn't allowed to include a link in my post as I'm a new member.
