Wanted to ask beforehand. Will your kernel work/play nice with the Sprint S6 Edge variant?
Much obliged,
Da Baron

After an initial false alarm on one computer, downloaded on a second PC without problem. Installation went just fine. I chose the battery option and will see how that goes.
Great job on this!
I am using Kernel Adiutor. Any recommended settings?

DO we have to flash the SuperSU if we already have root?? (I am on Renegade ROM OJ7)

Please do not quote the entire OP in your post. It is not necessary.
And you are correct that the kernel is not updating the name in Settings->About. It is a small mistake..

It is not installing SuperSU 2.66. Keeps staying on same version that was installed. What's the issue?

The kernel info updated for me in about device. Though, I came from full stock. I rooted using the new CF auto-root for our device, flashed TWRP, flashed SuperSU 2.67 and then the kernel. And so far everything is nice and smooth. And Synapse is a wonderful tool to use with this kernel. It's great to finally get away from Unikernel.

Thanks for the kernel, we needed this BADLY...installed and running smoothly

Im sorry im new here..what should I do?

OK. I would recommend flashing SuperSU 2.67, which helps with deep sleep and then the kernel. If you like tweaking the kernel/CPU...I would recommend installing the Synapse app.

I made it , thanks alot..what do u suggest me to do to get a better battery life?

Did you choose battery in the aroma installer when installing the kernel?

Yes i did
Sent from my SM-G920P using XDA Free mobile app

I would install one of the kernel tweak apps, either kernel auditor or Synapse. I prefer Synapse myself. And tweak the CPU governor to your liking.

with this kernel and cusrom liquidsmooth = GREAT :good:
Thanks alot !:good:
Just flashed it! My rom is Ehndroix III 4.2.2 I'll give some feedback if there sould be any problem.
I do not game, but i use my phone in various ways (everyday average use), i'll report on performance also!
Nice work mate! Keep it up! Great fan of your kernels and work.:good:
Hi there!
As i promised i'll report on performance i do now:
What's good:
1. Battery drain was only 1% during the night not in airplane mode. Awesome!
Question: increased audio loudness is missing here? I have the feeling that my phone is not as loud as with the other kernel of yours (3.4...).
Problem:
1. it just occured today, i was putting the phone in deep sleep by power button and next in an hour or so it will not answer to home button.
By (long) pressing power button the device woke up (i thought it turned of itself, but there was no pin unlock request, it just started as if it was returning from deep sleep).
Edit:
As i had Battery Doctor installed, and since then this problem occured for the first time, so i think it is related to the app not kernel.

Thanks a lot. First kernel for N4, amazing. Everything works nice for me. S2S works nice but I'm unable to make S2W working.
Big thanks for your work.

Agree to the kernel driver and the configs match the N910F source code. According to my knowledge, the N910T source code is indeed for the N910F version but some things just go.

That with the ramdisk is already clear to me that it is the N910F. My concern is mainly about the kernel driver (source / drivers) do not have problems with N910F. Well the N910F Source code coming soon
[30 October 2014] [Kernel] [SM-910F] N4 AEL Kernel
The source is unified across the board when it comes to the Snapdragon version. The only difference is which carrier's build script is in the root folder. You can find all of the configs for every one of them in the tmo source, though.
I don't intend to cover anything outside of North America, so Europe is all you. I'm sending people here as long as that isn't an issue.
This kernel also works perfectly on my Canadian SM-N910W8 in case any Canadian users are wondering

These are the configs of the EU version in source code is known to me. Nevertheless, what is presently as the internal kernel drivers are different in N910F source . Whether there are differences between the drivers you can not say at present . Presumably it does nothing but surely I 'm not .

Can u detailed about power efficiency patches from nvidia ??
Seems interesting
I still remember the days when we demanded for custom kernels.. and now, they just freaking pop up from anywhere! XD Will try this soon too!

Working great!!...charging is quite fast...
Mp decision works...it gets deactivated when u manually shut off cores....
Smooth kernel
I've been using this since last night and.. Speechless. XD No drop frames when scrolling here and there. UI animations are solid 60fps its as if I own a Nexus device(As in no dropped frames). The kernel works well with XenonHD. You dev @Shivam Kuchhal, deserve the 5 star rating.
Want to feel the same experience? Leave everything as is and change your Governor to ElementalX and I/O to SIO.

If u use zzmove governor disable all the hotplugs coz it use its own hotplug as anyone knows.
[Q]How i select profile from kernel tweaker app?
[A]You need to go in governor tunable-profile number and select the number of the profile from the list.
Zzmove profiles
1 ) Default -> will set governor defaults
2 )ybat -> Yank Battery -> a very good battery/performance balanced setting - DEV-NOTE: highly recommended!
3 )ybatext-> Yank Battery Extreme -> like yank battery but focus on battery saving
4 )zzbat-> ZaneZam Battery -> a more 'harsh' setting strictly focused on battery saving - DEV-NOTE: might give some lags!
5 )zzbatp -> ZaneZam Battery Plus -> NEW! reworked faster battery setting - DEV-NOTE: recommended too!
6 )zzopt -> ZaneZam Optimized -> balanced setting with no focus in any direction - DEV-NOTE: relict from back in the days, even though some people still like it!
7 )zzmod -> ZaneZam Moderate -> NEW! setting based on 'zzopt' which has mainly (but not strictly only!) 2 cores online
8 )zzperf -> ZaneZam Performance -> all you can get from zzmoove in terms of performance but still has the fast - down scaling/hotplugging behaving
9 )zzinz-> ZaneZam InZane -> NEW! based on performance with new insane scaling active. a new experience!
10 )zzgame-> ZaneZam Gaming -> NEW! based on performance with scaling block enabled to avoid cpu overheating during gameplay

Yes thats true.. S advance. How do you know me?
Hello, Merry Christmas, I installed this kernel but do not work 2 things:
1- installed the kernel, but when I open Synapse tells me: NO UCI DETECT
2-UKM installed 3.8.1, but the audio portion can not be configured, even if imposed different or custom profiles, the values remain the same, and the sound remains very low.
I apologize for my English, but I'm using a translator !!!

FAQ
1. Why the kernel zip is so large?
-> Treble Pie and Treble Oreo version of the kernel are packed in single file. You have to choose your version during installation so choose carefully.
2. How frequently it will get updated?
->Well its not fixed ,most probably it will be updated after every 15 days. But if some major bug is there then there can be quick updates.
3.Do you have any telegram release channel where we will be updated about the news about this kernel?
-> Yes we have telegram channel-https://t.me/prototypereleases
4.Can we request features?
-> Yes you can request features and ill try my best to implement it but no promise
5.I dont have any knowledge about governors and schedulers?
-> Dont worry if you dont have any knowledge just select next in aroma installer
6.Which ROMS are supported ?
-> Treble ROMS of pie and oreo are supported.Further compatibility will expand.
6.My phone heating after booting the kernel ?
-> Yes as the phone boots CPU carries out various tasks which lead to increase load on cpu and thus heating. So it is recommended that after flashing the kernel keep the phone idle for 10 mins and then see the magic

Ofcourse
Okay, initial impression.
-Charging rate is fine.
-Pubg gameplay is smooth and this is amazing that it stayed at 40°C for me. I was shocked cuz this was only possible before in Cardinal Rom. Great work dev
-Battery consumption is 13-14% per full length classic match.
- Though the phone doesn't heats as such, but the idle temps are higher than stock Arrow and Moxie ie. >36°C
I haven't done a full charge, so can't really comment in battery.
But this is Greta for initial build. Thanks for this kernel.
Finally a pie kernel. Well managed thermals undoubtedly. Although it is too early to comment. I hope battery lasts. Please move the thread to development section. Also kernel lacks hotplugs, wakelocks, and thermal controls. Also please list the work of each governors as listed on aroma on the thread for easy governor handling. One major missing is option to overclock gpu and cpu both.
PUBG not working
Super fine performance but while on pubg it's taking too long just to load (About 3 mins) then it hangs up at loading screen. I'm on AEX 5.8 rooted.
Kindly Suggest something to resolve this issue. I tried reflashing kernel but it didn't workout.
Thanks again for this Super thing.
I'll add battery backup as soon as possible.
Edit- I have checked with cpu float GPU freq. are not going up.
If this is using aroma for install, can something like ElementalX where you pick the default cpu & gpu clock speeds before installing the kernel possible? Of course setting everything after booting into rom with a kernel manager is fine, but a option to run without a manager would be appreciated
Will try this later today on ArrowOS Pie, as for features Im looking forward to overclocking, thermal and voltage control to be implemented
edit: early benchmark result, with all battery-oriented choice from aroma (darkness governor, noop i/o sched, "No" at playing games). Adreno driver v328 rev3
about the same as a snapdragon 625 according to gb. Gpu performance doesn't seems to be hobbled much

Well with how the little cluster's missing 1.56ghz frequency I guessed that asking for cpu oc would be hard although it's obviously the main performance bottleneck and the adreno 530 on a 1080p screen is already fast enough.
Pre-baked undervolting and voltage though would make it I hope? Can predefined uv level be implemented in aroma as well?

Its a known issue. When you upgrade GPU drivers from 2xx on z2, geekbench fails to properly benchmark the device, GPU performance isn't considered. Antutu benchmark doesn't have this issue.
after dirty flashing my rom then flashing the kernel all is going good performance is great but when i play pubg if i try to raise or lower the volume i get flashes in the background of the volume panel . i think its something related to the gpu drivers .
