I recently just bought a Android Head unit. I've seen videos and pictures of what seems to be the same head unit on the outside. But I know that the actual software and version of Android may very on different models. I'm so lost into finding what model or even what MCU version I have. I'm wanting to know what model and MCU version I have. I would like to root the device and put a custom rom onto it. Seems how I don't like how the device is setup from the factory. Any help is appreciated Thanks (also new user and it says I can't post outside links so I cannot provide pictures of the unit that I attended too)
Here is the information I have gathered from the Head Unit:
CPU Information: Cortex-A9 Dual Core
RAM information: DDR3 1GB
Android version: 4.4.4
MCU version: 4.3.14-1-10-610101-150525
System version: 2.9.5_20150722

Unfortunately you are in the wrong section. You don't have a MTCB unit. Your MCU looks like AN21U, you might want to check that thread for help on your unit.

Hello to everyone, I'm new to this section.
I live in Poland and recently I bought new Hyundai i40 from 2013. The car was imported from Libya and have no warranty. I have there Android Head Unit, but same Android Head Units intended for the Libya market are different from those intended for the European market.
I'm looking for this Unit brand and update for it.
I searched info about it few days, but with no satisfactory results. I also browsed Car Multimedia Player section on AliExpress with i40 inquiry and it gives me this:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/102...-1-Car-Radio-for-Hyundai-i40/32754856972.html

This 5 players looks identically like mine. But there is Android 5.1.1., mine have 4.4.4. I also asked resellers for update, but they replied that they are not authorized (if I were their customer, it would not be a problem).
I also leave here information contained in About tablet Settings section, it may be useful, I think.

I saw topic about MCU files here and there is KSP version. But nowhere I can't find system update.
Maybe my solution is to install Malaysk ROM? But it's not Android phone and I would prefer to use the official system.
I'm counting for your help.
Thanks.
I back with some, may be useful, information.
After a long time digging on the Internet, I found that the manufacturer of my device is Cusptech. I wrote an email to them (on [email protected]), but without response. So, I came up with an idea to search them using their website address on Facebook. I found there posts their Sales Menager and I wrote a message to him. After a short exchange of sentences, he confirmed this is their product and sent me latest MCU and software update files.
This is the last build of Android 4.4.4. They will not develop it anymore.
MCU file is quite new, but I did not ask for their plans about developing it.
The Menager stated that due to hardware differences, only version 4.4.4 is compatible with my device.

Hey everyone, I'm completely new to this form..and really these MTCB systems...
I have an android head unit in my car and while its been locked away for about 5 years, i decided to take it out and see what updates have come about and what it can do. I'm completely lost trying to find the latest MCU firmware and Android Version available. Is there a list or a page that is maintained with all this information available for easy download?
Current MCU: MTCB-KGL4-V2.22
Current android version: 4.4.4_24042015
I'd love to get up to the latest and greatest and see if that fixes all the issues ive had with this HU.
Thank for all the help and direction.
Hi,
I am new to dxa developers not sure where to post this and get help
My issue: i have recently bought an unbranded Chinese head unit for my car and found it running on android version 4.4 KitKat and i would like to update it to the latest version available. But unfortunately, i am not sure what model the head unit is and which rom to flash. Also, I am not sure how to enter recovery mode on this head unit. Tried contacting the seller but no proper reply.
I am unable to attach an image of the interface or player, hence I have provided the system details:
Model:
System: K6_01_IH_V2.0.1_20180804
Kernal: Linux version 3.4.67
MCU: CM_0.0730.0_180315_16:59

Hello,
My name is Hans and I am from Germany. My english is not the best, but I try very hard.
I have a Erisin ES6291V PX6 4GB RAM 32GB memory. Unfortunately, this is not a device with MTCx MCU, but with STM32, so I can not use any of the popular custom ROMs (Hal9k, Malaysk). Is this right?
Is there any custom roms for this device or is it to be expected that will be available in the future?
Here I still have the original firmware from the device.
Unfortunately, I can not set the link here yet.

I plan to buy the same HU with you and concern about the speed & quality. Is it good? Any issue with hardware or software?

Suggest avoiding and looking for an MTCD/E PX6 - based on number of threads, modified ROMs, recovery from brick and extensive info.
Hi Folks!
I got Erisin HU (ES6291V)
Detailed info is here
I was able to enable 48 hours sleep mode in factory settings menu. But when I set, the HU become unstable and sometimes does not start (black screen, have to reset), or does not go to sleep and suck the accumulator of the car. Is there a fix for this problem? Do you have got a MCU and/or firmware update for it? What is your advice?
Thank you in advance!
Not MTCB, suggest posting in Android Head units forum.
