If you want 2 SIM cards, your box and system info should have 2 different IMEI numbers, otherwise is single SIM.

So there is no way how to "activate" the second SIM slot?
Because on P8 I found an article that it was possible using another firmware to change branden SINGLE SIM to DUAL SIM...as if all the models have same harware and only the firmware decides if it is SINGLE or DUAL SIM.
But I do not know if it is the same with G8 (I have also TMobile AT branded G8 - and it is single SIM. All I could do was install some other official firmware, but NOT that one marked as DUAL SIM When I tried to update DUAL SIM Firmware, I always get "Software install failed" right from the start)

There is no way to make it work as far as I know, and many people have tried without success, because they always get the error you get when making the update to the firmware.

That's not true, I have the 3GB version and is single SIM.
This is a way you can verify dual sim version, and is the same I have told you before:
http://www.htcmania.com/showpost.php?p=21658111&postcount=1
only one IMAI code :/ thank you all for your replies
If I have only one IMEI, but I have dual card management app running and ro.dual.sim.phone - true (by default) in build.prop, is possible to have dual sim in future, with proper rom&some trick (like writing second IMEI somewhere).
My G8 ROM single sim:
Build number RIO-L01C432B130.
Custom version CUSTC432D005.
Thank you!

Do you want to convert your single sim phone into a dual sim phone. then this guide should do it.
For some reason the single sim samsung boards actually have 2 sim slots. For example the a7 2018 single sim board has 2 sim slots

Here is the a50 motherboard with the same thing
How to check without opening up the phone.
What i find with all the phones with unused 2nd sim card slots is that they always leave a blank space where the 2nd sim card would be
Here is an a7 2018 sim tray for a single sim phone to prove my point
So my theory is either to cut a hole for the 2nd sim into the tray and tape the sim in or to buy a sim tray for a dual sim phone.
Also on my single sim a7 2018 ( my a50 is dual sim) there are activities called Sim cards or names that would suggest that it has dual sim capability in the settings apk
So if someone would test this out that would be awesome
I think the reason they do this is so that they don't have to manufacture 2 boards for a device instead they can just manufacture 1 board for all the versions of the phone
it's not that simple I think, even if the second sim slot is there, the single sim variant still only have one imei (why would samsung listed two imeis on a single sim registered phone), the sim may shown as no service if your theory is right.
Second sim slot is most likely disabled in the firmware of the radio. Also, like mentioned above it needs a second IMEI number which it will not have.
Try to flash a dual SIM ROM and some guides are there on how to copy IMEI number from SIM1 TO SIM2. Or you can use an old IMEI # from someother phone.
Any luck with trying a dual-sim rom on an A50? I've got a single sim A50 which I'd love to convert if it's just limited in firmware and software.

sadly I cannot test this out as my A50 is dual sim but i could try my A7 2018 or J5 2017 as it has the same thing too.
Maybe with this file it can be done...

Is anyone tested this?
Converted A7 2018 to Dual sim solved
I already solved my A750F come with 1 single SIM and I setting for Dual SIM with EFT BOX and now is working 2 SIM Cards.
Is it possible to convert dual sim a50 to single sim only? If it is, how. I only use one sim and but in my country there are only dual sim a50 for sale.

Why would you want to do that... Its nonsense. If you have DS and want SS just put one Sim card [emoji1787]. Even more slot for SD is separated. So, there is no need for such a thing.

Hey, I unintentionally got the dual-SIM model of the Note 10+ (thought it seems that it's the only one available in my country right now). I know that you should avoid Dual-SIM models at all costs if you want to flash custom ROMs etc. But I'm not really interested in custom ROMs anymore. Just root and TWRP (for flashing stuff and backups).
So I was in the middle of doing all that when I realised I had the dual SIM model. It was mentioned NOWHERE, when I was buying the thing. So now I can't find the firmware for this thing anywhere, so I can't really root it. Is rooting this model currently possible? If not, can I restore a non rooted device backup on the device, after I root it? As root will eventually become possible for this device too? If it isn't already.
CSC is: N975FOXM1ASGO
Thanks in advance guys.
Whaaat? No. Yes Of course. You have the perfect version for root. I have the same dual sim version. Dual sim means root most of the time. You're good!

I have the international N975F, also with dual sim.
I have rooted it and TWRP is working, I used SamFirm to download the firmware.
When I put in my region code (DBT - Germany) it automatically chose the correct version. Mine is N975FXXU1ASHE/N975FOXM1ASHE.
You can try it with SamFirm with your CSC values.

I need the link to download required files for rooting SM-N975F/DS
Hi guys, I came here to give you a feedback on the root for that model (N975FOXM1ASG) because I have the exact same one, I'm French.
What @Brava27 and @JayanWarden is correct, I used SamFirm to download the latest firmware for that model using automatic,
with the model sm-n975f and region XEF.
Then I just followed this process:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10+/how-to/guide-how-to-root-note-10-t3960031
You have to follow it carefully
The only part that doesn't work for me though is "E.Flashing TWRP", but the phone is rooted.
This is now what I have instead of the default values likes yours:

https://ibb.co/ZK5pGpw
Everything works 100%, so you can go ahead and root.
One thing though and it's not mentioned, but in the thread it says that if you don't see the option to unlock your bootloader you'll have to wait and maybe some will never have it...
This is wrong, in fact, you need to do the whole process without a sim card inserted, i know because I tried with and without and the option didn't appear when I had the sim card in the phone.

Just bought the Samsung Fold SM-F900F in India. Surprising, Samsung's India website states the phone supports both Nano SIM and eSIM. However, my phone has a grayed out eSIM IMEI on the about page under settings. I know with surety that it is not carrier locked. So my question is, if I flash my phone with a firmware from Sammobile for a different region such as France, Spain, Singapore, etc. Would it unlock the eSIM on my phone? Samsung's website says the following Countries and carriers support eSIM:
Australia: Optus, Telstra, Vodafone
Finland: Telia
France: Orange
Singapore: M1
Spain: Movistar, Orange
Thailand: AIS
I am assuming a firmware from any of these countries should also have an active eSIM profile.
At the moment, it doesn't even have the activate mobile plan and other menu options required to add eSIM profile under settings.
Also, its been a while since I played around with android phones. Are the firmwares provided on SAMMOBILE stock versions?
Thank you. Felt amazing to write my first post/reply.
Hi, I also have the 900F the Indian unit with the esim option greyed out. I am assuming the same way you do if we flash an international F firmware we might get the esim functionality back. My local samsung dealer imported a phone from uae and the esim version is working in India on that unit. So an educated guess would be flashing that firmware and checking..

Good day.
I'm from the Philippines. I bought an A70 and I wanted to use my old sim, which is Globe, but whenever I insert my Globe sim, or there are no sim in the sim tray, this always pops up and i can't use my phone unless I use my Smart sim.

Whenever I insert both my Smart and Globe sim, I could use the phone but I can not turn on the mobile data of my Globe sim cause it's grayed out.
And this also also pops up in the notifications and I can't swipe it off.
I tried downgrading the firmware to A705MNXXU3ASG6 before.
Then I updated to A705MNXXU3ASJ1. (Both stock firmwares I flashed are XTC.)
I did the *#272*IMEI# and chose XTC even though my phone is already in XTC.
I also tried SAMTool(Says Unlock Successful)
The phone technician at the mall i went to used SamKey(Failed)
I even used '01234567' and '00000000', the unlock codes SAMTool says to use, on #7465625*638*#
But the 'Smart Communications Inc.' still pops up whenever there is no sim or I insert my Globe sim.
My OEM Unlock is hidden as well. Whenever I go to download mode, it says on the screen, 'OEM LOCK : ON (L)'.
Tried this : https://www.xda-developers.com/fix-missing-oem-unlock-samsung-galaxy-s9-samsung-galaxy-s8-samsung-galaxy-note-8/
And the solution here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a70/help/oem-unlock-168-hours-t3994553
But OEM Unlock is still hidden.
I hope someone can help me with this. Would really appreciate it.

Haven't tried that yet. Salamat. Sa greenhills ko kasi to nabili. Mukang within the contract period ba tong phone. First time ko rin kasi bumili ng phone in years, di ko tuloy natanong kung openline ba or hindi. Engot lang. Haha.
it look like your smart garbage sim is showing this kind of 'bloatware' thing , did you could use your globe sim before on a70? if yes , then the updates in philippines for MN variants force you to use their smart garbage and prevent you from using your globe sim, or just your globe seen been desactivated by your globe service provider, if you root and install another firmware like lineage , it should work, if even on lineage os or any other custom firmware it still show that smart garbage , then it's the sim itself who won't allow you to use any other sim than their own, what angry me the most is that they say thanks for using it while they force you to use their garbage, ill help you to root it , ill also make sure that you are actually able to activate your OEM unlock , im sure your sim prevent you from unlocking your device.

Thank you for replying sir. Really appreciate it.
Yes, I can still use my Globe sim on other devices. I'm currently using it on my SM-T535. It seems the seller sold me the A70 while it is still under contract with Smart. Sadly we only have 2 major service providers here in the Philippines thanks to the garbage system we currently have. Hopefully, we change to Federal-Parliamentary with no FDI Restrictions soon. Anyway, I haven't tried rooting yet cause I haven't I still have no experience with it. This will be my first if ever.
Should I follw this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a70/how-to/galaxy-a70-firmware-list-variants-t3957239
Or do you have other recommended threads I should follow?
Btw, if ever I successfully rooted my device with a custom firmware, could I still unroot it and return to an official firmware without the annoying 'Smart Communications Inc.' popping up ever again?

Good day sir. I just flashed the TCE version but the Smart thingy still pops up if there are no sim or I use my Globe sim.
What should I do next sir?
Could I do this next even if my OEM Unlock is hidden? https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a70/how-to/galaxy-a70-firmware-list-variants-t3957239
Or do i have to do something else?
I have the USA version of Oneplus 9 pro LE2125. This came with single SIM tray but I bought dual SIM tray from ebay. Can I upgrade the software to unlock the 2nd SIM? I read in some forums that we can but I am a complete newbee so please help...
I have done root/adb...etc before but it's been a while...so I am comfortable.
i was ask this oneplus support for you, you cant use dual sim just with sim apparatus. Because your phone is hardware single sim.
The hardware itself supports it as long as you purchased a dual SIM tray. However, there's no easy way to accomplish it from a software side at this point. A couple of people have said it works in certain custom ROMs, though others can't reproduce with the same ROMs. Some people have accomplished it using a complex and somewhat risky process of flashing modems and other steps that are unclear (search the forum and proceed at your own risk). Most of us are holding out hope for a more reliable and transparent method in OOS12 or custom ROM.
I've never messed with trying dual sim.. But on open beta 2 this is in oneplus logkit settings(*#*#4636#*#*). It can be toggled on and off. I don't have dual tray to see if it will work or not. Dsds(dual sim dual standby)

I've put a dual sim tray in mine and after I upgraded to OS12 open Beta it shows 2 sims. I haven't tried 2 sims simultaneously, but I did try it on both sides.
On OnePlus 8 pro for Android 10 was just one sim, and then on 11 dual, although OnePlus promised the change a head of time. It would be nice if this would be the case on this device.
I'm curious if anyone has flashed the modem from beta 2 on an Android 11 ROM and got dual SIM functionality
Okay I tried flashing it and it made my phone fail to boot, luckily I was able to reflash the old modem and it's working again

Did you have to do anything special to enable logkit? I'm on OB3 and that keypad code doesn't do anything for me.

You have to download "Force LTE Online (4G/5G)" from the play store.

Interesting, mine doesn't show "Enable DSDS" where yours does (and the keypad code still doesn't work). I have a dual SIM tray and a second SIM, but OB3 still just shows one.

Yea I had the Enable DSDS in Open Beta 2, but in Open Beta 3 it's gone. It might be back in Open Beta 4.
Also I'm a different person from the earlier post, I'm only letting you know where to get the *#*#4636#*#*, you open the app I told you to install, then press Method 2 (Android 11).

You wanna know why they removed the Enable DSDS in that weird LE2125.11.C36 update? That was because it was the stable update, they released the Stable update and it's the same build number, makes sense why they removed it.
