the following steps may help you well,
1. turn off your phone, remove battery for a minute and reinsert.
2. just go into your recovery mode by pressing volume down and power button simultaneously.
3. wipe / clear phone cache memory and data.
4. wipe delvik cache.
5. restart your htc desire 616, wait for couple of minutes and be patient your phone will start normally.:fingers-crossed::highfive:

hi everyone,
I was trying to install a custom rom on my desire (supernova 1.0.2.6) and the installation went well and when it is on the pin code screen:
if i enter the pin code then it shows some force close errors and then reboot from the htc (quitely brilliant) screen
if i don't enter and just wait then it directly reboots from the htc (quitely brilliant) screen
so i wiped the dalvik cache and installed the leedroid v3.0.8 rom but it's the same thing but this time it's the leedroid boot screen (energy symbol and bios type screen)
so here i am
and my desire is rooted unrevoked 3.2 (the missing CID one) and i had already installed Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 and had partitionned the sd card (512 mb ext3) through rom manager
so plz help me debug this situation and help me get my original or cyanogen rom back plz plz plz!!!!
thanks
all right i seem to have solved the problem myself.
so for any of those who are in my or similar to mine situation:
I went in the clockwork mod recovery did all the wipes (data, cache and dalvik cache) and then reinstalled the cyanogen7.0.3 and it went pretty smoothly
so any ways thanks guys
Hi.
I think i've screwed up in trying to root my Desire HD and i would need your help to unbrick it. Let me explain the process.
I had 2.3.3 - 2.50.405.2 installed on my DHD and decided to update it to 2.3.5 (Sense 3.0) - 3.12.405.1. So far, so good. I downloaded the RUU (RUU_Ace_Sense30_S_HTC_WWE_3.12.405.1_Radio_12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_225512_signed.exe) and installed it with no problems, getting a fresh stock version.
Then i tryed to root it using an aahk version i had here in my pc (aahk-29102011), and that seemed to be the problem.
When i used it, after successfully starting the update process, it failed leaving my phone in the red exclamation point error screen, after the phone reboots always 2 times, where i can access the Android system recovery (3e) with the following options:
- Reboot system now
- Apply sdcard:update.zip
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
I already tryed all the options with no sucess.
- rebooting the phone, just gets me to the same screen over and over. Even taking out the battery and turning it on doesnt help here.
- I tryed to apply an update.zip, getting the ROM.zip from the RUU, placing it in the root directory of the sdcard, but i get the error E:signature verification failed
- wiping both data/factory reset and cache didnt help either.
I saw some info that booting the phone into bootloader mode would allow me to connect it to my PC and try to update it, but when i press the - volume button followed by the power button, the phone just boots normally and comes to the 3e screen.
Maybe the stock RUU doesn't allow bootloader?
Is there a way so that i can just flash back the RUU or another ROM, either by a signed update.zip or another way?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Put your sd card in another phone, download a new Rom, put your phone into recovery, wipe cache, wipe date, then flash the new Rom. That should work.

I can't turn on my Desire HD. The phone freezes at the HTC logo, and even when I enter bootloader menu.
I wanted to install Android Revolution on it, but this problem occured.
Can you help me out?
What have you done to the phone so far? Eg rooting, or installing any previous roms. Have you wiped the Dalvik cache? That can cause a long boot time.

I wanted to install Android Revolution on my 2.3.5 Desire HD and followed the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377119
I downloaded Advanced Ace Hack and ran "hack-ace", but first of all, the program said I needed a downgrade, so I chose "yes". Then it done a couple of processes on its own. After that, my phone rebooted and freezed on the HTC logo. I tried to enter bootloader, but it freezes in the menu, too. When I remove the sd card, then enter bootloader menu, I can navigate through the menu, but in the end, even if I select "Recovery" the phone stucks, showing me an red exclamation mark.
I really don't know what to do.
oh, yes, and I also forgot to turn off fast boot before downgrading with that program.
hi everyone. my htc desire 816 was running on lollipop 5.0.1(htc a5 dwg india version dual sim). it was rooted and bootloader unlocked and for rooting i had flashed cwm recovery... so everything was going fine. then i recieved update notification for marsh mallow (first step of which is of 68.2 mb). so i flashed stock recovery and downloaded the update.. but while installing i got red triangle error. i tried to install 2- 3 times but result was same. then i read one thread on our forum in which it was mentioned to flash the stock recovery which i recieved in 68.2 mb update file. i flashed the stock recovery then downloaded the ota update and it got install .. everything went well. but the device is stuck at bootscreen with green htc logo.. thats it.. now when i connect my device in fastboot mode its getting detected in my pc's device manager but not in adb devices. so i am not able to use adb commands....
my device is still stuck at bootscreen from 1 week.. plz help plz plz pz.......

Alright So What You're Gonna Do Is This:
1. Download ADB Drivers And HTC Drivers
2. Hopefully You Have A Custom Recovery Already
3. Assuming You Do, Boot Into Bootloader (Power Down Phone And Then Hold Volume Down And Power Button)
4. Go Into Recovery
5. Download A Custom ROM (Slim6 For HTC M8 Has A Stable ROM) (You'll Need To Flash Open Gapps Also)
6. I'll Need Your Current Android Version To Continue Helping You
