Hey there , to start off , Im pretty new to putting android and stuff on here haha. Well I finally got it to boot up android using Haret.exe , but then today I decided I wanted it fully on my system without windows...well heres the problem
I flashed the kaiser by holding the camera button and hiting the reset button...which worked fine. Well after I did that , I hit the reset button , and the AT&T symbol came up , then after a few seconds the Penguin Boot screen comes up and starts doing the weird script thing , then I hit the Dpad to install. When It come to the screen , I make sure that Both NAND things are bubbled off , then I go at it and hit install , and clear all data etc , then it goes to formatting. And after everything is complete I go to quit , then it does some more black screen script stuff and then it started booting the green weird logo ( not the android , the one for Froyo 2.2 ) and then after a few minuites it finally boots up. I then wait 10-15mins for it to finish everything once installed , and then I turn it off by battery pull ( and normal shutoff , ive tried both). then when I turned it back on , It STILL goes to the at&t logo , and repeats EVERYTHING above..please help ,I have tried everything here , and nothing seems to work.....ahhh im so confused haha.
Regards , Dread
What is the problem? Does it boot into android after that? It sounds like you are just describing what happens when android boots normally.
If it's the AT&T logo you don't like, search on this forum for splash screens, there are lots of replacements to choose from.
It boots into android after that , but when I turn it off , I have to go through the whole install screen agian and then it has all the same settings , its just very annoying
Are you pressing the D-pad and installing every time you boot? You only need to install it once....
The second time you turn it on, just don't press anything while it's booting, and it will go straight into android, with all your settings saved.
so why does it go to the weird boot text penguin screen? shouldnt android start up as soon as the phone boots? or is it supposed to be penguin screen , then android load screen?
it's not weird, all phone (and linux system) boot in this way.
Oh alright , Is there any way to make it into a bootlogo?

Not at the moment, but right now the text screen is there to show that the phone is actively booting into Android. Once it gets to a certain point, the Android boot logo will start, and the text screen goes away.
I know it looks messy, but look at it this way. You're able to see just what the phone is doing during boot, and see that the phone is still booting and not freezing up and crashing.
He can make a splash screen, just not one to cover the kernel bootloader. I have one that got left over on ths phone after a modded wm6.5 rom. I keep it because it shows CPU, memory and ROM/radio verson in the 2nd splash.
Sent from my Not So Super Froyo using XDA App
I can put a boot image while the kernel initializes but the text will still overlap it due to framebuffer issues.
another way is set the output to a virtual terminal so is not visible.
Hello,
I have a great problem with my Motorola. I installed battery icon mod without reading for which phone it's made and used it. Now I can't use my phone, because it's stopping at this logo before system. I had Cyanogenmod 7 (last nightly before RC), but when I destroyed it by this application first thing I did was wipe. After it nothing has changed, so I tried again and I flashed it with normal 2.2 Nordic but - as I "predicted" - nothing has changed again, but this time system was stopping at Android logo, not Cyanogenmod logo. I tried to flash again - nothing. The device can be charged (there appears this battery).
What should I do?

Go into the stock recovery and wipe data. Then re-flash the sbf.
I did it already, but I forgot, that I can do wipe after flashing the device I thought about it and did it - everything is working. Sorry for useless thread.
Regards.
I wanted to ask at the same time. What if i can't enter stock recovery. My phone's rooted , slightly overclocked , and i can't download any apps , i can't do factory reset , and even when i'm trying to enter it , the android pic would appear with that "danger - triangle". What should be done?

The triangle IS the stock recovery! when you see the triangle with the little android dude, hit both up and down volume at the same time. This will bring up a menu that will allow you to do a factory wipe.
And another question. I've installed custom recovery , and it said that install was succsesful , but when I apply recovery boot , it just reboots my phone , or lefts screen blacked out, at which case i have to turn on my phone by removing and applying battery.

Not sure I understand the questions, but I'll take a stab at it anyway:
Since we have a locked bl, the custom recovery does not overwrite the stock recovery.
As far as I know, the only way to get in to custom recovery, is to push the vol down when the blue light goes on during the boot cycle.

If it was a first reboot after installing Custom Recovery than USB Debbug should be off...
Already searched in some areas of the forum, but nothing helpful.
I have got a N7100XXDLL4 Note 2. It has a H3G Italian Rom (as i've taken in a H3G store).
All of those useless apps... it's an umbearable pain.
So... i decided to change that rom to another one.
I don't remember all the steps i've done... but surely i've used the toolkit of mskip and all go flawlessly. No Fails or something.
I've noticed that CWM (or TWRP) while loading causes a "tremolo" screen all vibrating on the first "Galaxy Note 2 Gt N7100" screen
nevermind...
Cwm loaded, full wipe, rom installed (ParanoidAndroid, to be precise) and rom started
I've noticed that the rom... in charging... doesn't show the bootscreen or welcome screen (it was all black, and i've got to tap on the capacitive buttons to understand if the device was on or off) then... pressing home buttons several times screen wake up in the pin code (without the classic config wizard).
Several soft reboot to get the rom doesn't manifest that black screen problem, nothing
Several tries to get the rom working properly flashed, but nothing
So... i don't remember all the steps i've done with the toolkit... but now changing roms it causes a stuck on the bootscreen/samsung logo
Tried to find a solution and someone used this thread, but again nothing useful.
I need a solution to perform a FULL reset of the phone (any rom, any firmware) with odin, kies, whatever.
Doesn't matter if the flash counter is down or not
Thanks for reading and sorry for my bad english
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2088809
Thanks in advance, i'll try it very soon
thanks mate... problem solved with Kies!!!
(it was stucked again in the blue pulsing logo, but once in recovery mode after a cache/data wipe, it started without problems)
Many many thanks... life solver ^^

Thats only you needed after flashing any ROM at first place.
Coming from a SGSII and never done a full wipe after flash
(always done before flashing.. good to know so i'm always learning)
thanks to all of you!
Ok so I am going to start by saying I screwed up. But I fixed my mistake. I was trying to find a white holo theme for twrp 2.5.0 and I found one but it was for a tablet. So I didn't use it, I ended up loading it to dropbox where I forgot about it. Then today I found it again but forgot it wasn't for my phone :/ Yeah bad news for me... I rebooted into twrp and could only see part of the keys and screen, I tried taking out the battery and when I turned my device back on I immediately would boot into twrp :/ very frustrating, I tried Renaming the theme so it wouldnt work and I could back out but no go because the ok button wasn't visible on my screen :/ finally i decided i would try booting into download mode... it actually worked, then when I hit down to restart, I saw my beloved cyanogen mod logo I was then able to delete the wrong ui.zip file and my phone works again just thought i would share incase someone else did something like that to their phone
Hi,
i'm using Galaxy S9 960f, flashed it over Odin with twrp and installed the "lightrom" from 'yash92duster' in june, everything went super since then.
i just updated my "lightrom" rom, from june to the new november version. Dirty, i only wiped dalvik.
Installed without a problem, rebooted and it went to the "optimizing apps xx/xx" screen.
When it was finished, it asked me to enter my sim pin, after that a screen of the rom appeared, installling i guess a theme.
It stuck at 40%, i waited around 30 minutes, but nothing changed, so i hard rebootet with volDown+power. The phone restarted properly and i was able to use it normal.
I just mentioned that no theme was applied, i guessed that it just didn't because it stuck, so i rebooted into the recovery and installed the rom creators "Apps File", to install his theme again.
All went normal, phone started normal too, the theme was applied, but not totaly, some background elements where still white, what should have been black.
I then have read about applying themes here in the xda forum. I Found envys theme (what the mod creator is using). Downloaded/installed it and looked into the "Wallpaper/Themes" settings.
Then i saw the Bodhisattva theme from envy/the rom creator (I'm not sure who belongs to it sry) and i clicked on it to see the screeshots, but it was loading endless, thought there are just no screenshots.
I applied the theme and my phone automatically restarted.
Then it took longer than usually and it went to the "optimizing apps xx/xx" screen again.
But after that, it just rebootet, it got into a loop from start to optimizing apps.
I tried to get into twrp, but it's not possible anymore, like it got vanished.
How can i get off this loop or into twrp, without deleting my whole phone?
I hope this is as exact as needed, please ask if you need further Information.
.
I found another way to get into into recovery than holding volUp before the boot.
It's power+volDown+bixby till the screen turns black, then quickly switching to power+volup+bixby till the phone starts into twrp.
I cleaned dalvic and installed the theme new with the "apps file", nothing changed, still bootloop.
Then cleaned dalvic again and installed the whole rom again, still nothing changed, again bootloop to the point where apps get optimized.
What else can i try, except deleting everything?
