One x 4.2.2 , Sense 5 India Update ?

Hello everyone,
europe phones had been updated but in india we cant look update, have you any information about update 4.2.2 in india ? i asked htc support but they are reply to me : we don't know and meybe never take update one x in india
What is your opinion ?

I've just searched on Google. I've found a site where they have the same question as you.
Somebody replied to it and said that the update will come the second or third week of September.

Third week is already gone and still no update. I am very disappointed with HTC. Why they rollout for other region and not for India?

As far as I known reading in some forums for releasing the OTA update is depended on regional carrier also, there is some regions sill cannot get update, pls see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448456&page=4.

You may are right a mf HTC rep told that one x 4.2.2 update might not even come to India , no update is showing that will it even get or not the update as it depends . I called again and another rep told it depends on higher authority people.. as many disputes happen and they need to be solved then an update is given in certain country/region and some more blsht . HTC already is poor in India I am so pissed feel like blowing HTC with a bazooka .

Man. You can't be serious. It's ridiculous if it's true. I wouldn't buy HTC phone again.

I am so pissed already on this, have even fought with htc and htc india on fb and they are just doing a "job" there nothing else with same automated messages, they will tell in the end they have escalated this ahead for u to relax, but u will keep hoping that something will happen now but never will . You can call toll free htc customer care number, they don't have any idea for it . There was a video posted of a foreign news channel that peter chou is to be blamed for htc soon going to be bankrupt . A message during interview : " When HTC posted its worst-ever earnings last quarter as profit plummeted a shocking 98%, all eyes turned to chief executive Peter Chou. “If HTC fails one more time, then they’ll be under pressure to replace the CEO,” one industry watcher said. As the company’s struggles continue, The Wall Street Journal spoke to CEO Peter Chou about his future with the company, and he insisted he is still the right man for the job. ”I know you guys want to ask, will I quit,” Chou said. “There are a lot of rumors that say I would quit, but I never said that. Damn htc trend is total wrong!
Making cheap faulty phones and making huge hype on ads, specs, etc before release so people just buy impatiently like its a lot worth it but they are not, and selling expensively > customers facing lot of issues > some people will still keep and give profit to htc, some people will want replacement > then htc may solve issues in later manufactured pieces or not their wish > dead slow in updates specially in 2nd largest populated country india lol ? why htc then? i say never! > The world's worst service centres as htc india people themselves tell and give service centre people full support to treat customers badly only to make money . You are absolutely right buddy. I feel the same about service of HTC in India. My next phone would be Nexus. If HTC is not going to update HOX then I am going to root it.

4.3 rolling out in Taiwan for HTC one. I guess HTC will release 4.3 instead of 4.2.2 . basically Europe update had few WiFi bugs ,I thought HTC is working on that & then will roll out update to India. god knows what they're planning. hope they give update before they go bankrupt. lol

see what I feel we will 100% get it, but htc india irritates us by lieing 3 different days I called, i got 3 different people, telling 3 different stories regarding the update, they don't know anything and are just puppets playing with emotions, cause if they don't know then should not comment anything but they still do which is poor indianism ! so we just gotta bully them!

So you have to "BULLY" them?! I think that is poor indianism!
Do you think a local HTC service center would have any details regarding a global update schedule? There's a difference between support, service and information. And you called THREE times?!?!? Wasn't once enough to understand that they don't have a clue?!
Anyways I've seen a lot of posts where people are saying that they're fed up with HTC. I am too. But there's nothing that we can do about it (of course other than buy a new phone or buy the HTC one )! Best option is to wait patiently (as you said, you feel it'll be here 100%).
HTC One X+, HTC Butterfly, all getting india updates.
And from what I hear the new update is not that promising anyways! WiFi issues, battery issues, etc. It may very well be that they're fixing these issues before rolling them out to locations that they haven't released the updates to yet (this is a guess and you shouldn't invest emotions into the statement!).

You keep your opinion with you n others who are with you . That's not indianism on what i said, we didn't got this phone for free, we indians "might" have bought this phone more than any other coutry in the world due to our population. Though if it was the usa then more things would have been corrected on the service center like they have here ( now talking on their service center just for this) . Go to fb page and see emotions there . And I never said I asked the service center people, I asked their customer care people who did knew about its 4.1.1 update and it came correctly then, i am a man of my words where actions are not needed to prove . Time has changed for HTC drastically . Just type peter Chou on Google and you would get the result that insiders telling the biggest problem for HTC is peter Chou and more . Anyways no need to argue I just clarified and let's hope for the best to get best update with all fixes soon . Peace**

Things don't work like we want they work in patterns like they are designed.
Don't worry there are posts on this site so you can update your phone with stock 4.2.2 sense 5 rom.
If you don't want to wait for sense 5 you have to sacrifice your bootloader (unlock it).
Flash rom file via cwm enjoy sense 5 trust me sense 5 is awesome.

Just checked and to my delight the update box popped up... downloading now.. i guess they're finally rolling out in India... check your too...

No Android M till the moment

Hello All,,,
the (OTA) update for the E9+ is not available yet, and i have contacted the HTC customer care and they confirmed that they are having a lot of models to upgrade and the updates are not available till now!
Even that it was announced before that the Android M would be ready in the Q1 2016 but unfortunately it is not, so i thing that most of the user are not satisfied with this issue.
So i suggest to push HTC and keep contacting them to make more complaints about this issue
so everyone enter this website and keep asking about the updates

Yeah,its defo disappointing.
3rd quarter has ow started and still no official update.
Ive even contacted them on facebook to which they were kinda enough to get back to me but when I did ask about ETA for marshmallow on the E9+ they said they cannot share those details.
Oh well,guess we'll just have to keep waiting.
As Ive said before,I think the E9+ can be a really good phone but it needs marshmallow to really optimize it.

Unfortunately yes, we dont have any other option, we have just to wait, but the shocking thing is that they promised and announced that the update will be available in the first quarter of this year and it wasnt! and they didnt come back with a clearance or any apology message, any way let us wait and see when it will be ready....

GUYS, keep entering this website which will take you to live chat with HTC costumer support because i have been told that as much as they got complains about any issue they will take it as a priority, so maybe they will work harder on getting the Marshmallow ready for E9+

not new news about andrion 6.0?

I read an E9+ user comment on GSM Arena,someone said they got info from customer care saying that Marshmallow should be available for the E9+ in two weeks.
That comment was made on the 28th August so hopefully E9+ will have it in within 10 days or so.
Or we can guess mid September.

HTC has released the first beta build in China for m9 + marshmallow. Now we must wait for our E9 +.

When can we receive the update?Any news?

I just had a chat with htc agent, and he told me that my phone (One E9) was made for Taiwan market and, since Google is banned in China, Marshmallow update depends on if Google will do it, not htc, but a few weeks ago, another agent told me to monitor social media, did not mention anything about the ban, although I'm not sure what that has to do with software update...

I ask about e9+ marshmallow update htc help center. they said me e9+ users ready for update in november end or december first week. Now confirmed.

End of Nov or early Dec eh..damn I hope so,we've been waiting to long for Marshmallow on the E9+.
Hopefully it will help battery issues some are complaining of.

What's the deal with HTC. Why haven't they released Nougat yet?

Once they do release it there will be nothing but complaining just like every other new version.
Relax it will get here when it gets here.

Given that the Sprint exclusive Bolt is coming out with Nougat, I would bet that it is just around the corner for the HTC 10 as well.
However, I really hope for a stable update, rather than a rushed one, full of issues.

I really hope they put in the ability to change what's in the quick settings within the notification tray. There are a good amount of them that I don't use.

HTC just posted on their Facebook that US Unlocked will start receiving Nougat tomorrow Friday. Carrier varriants of HTC 10 and M9 owners will see the update early next year.

New to moto z play

Hey everyone
I had purchased moto z pay about two weeks ago ,great experience but i have some questions about some issues with the handset just to make sure it's normal or what :
1- when making a phone call i hear some strong hissing(buzzing as some says)in total it's another sound besides the voice of the other guys on phone , not a very quit voice as i used to in any mobile , is that normal ? is it soothing related with my phone carrier service or 4G or 3G stuff?
2- when applying style shell- which are very awesome - i can found out that it could be moved a little if swipe it in left or right around camera lens something like little shaky or moving, not just stick to the handset and ever never moved unless you remove it , is that normal K i was told it is at seller but you guys have it so is it normal ?
last thing is just a question and not an issue
Motorola is giving full support and update to the mobile even if it was like 4 or 5 years later , in other word how long i will be get the latest android updates for life time of the handset or maybe 3 years and will get bored and it is out ?
that's everything i want to know till now , if i had any issues i will post it here
so thank you guys so much for your help and patience

2. If it's never removed unless you remove it, it's ok.
3. Not 3 years! It's a very long time period.
Device is currently running 7.0 and company representative confirmed that it will get 7.1.1 soon And according to sources It'll definetly receive Android 8 in 2017 only.

that's what i want to hear in points 2 and 3 so thank you so much
but for point 1 , I tried to remove sim and made a call on messenger and i get same issue so i think it's not a something related with my carrier but with in call stereo
so what is that? i tried to reset and disabling all sound boosts but nothing changed

But I don't know. Nothing is sure. But you can later use custom roms very good on this phone, if there are really no updates anymore. But I don't know the update plans, just that we can expect all update to android O and all other we must be wait and see. But I think so because it's not a cheap phone. And because the Moto G4(much cheaper and older phone) get android O, too. So, Moto Z modells should, too. And security patches at least for 3 years. All other would not be nice from motorola.

Z is a Flagship series and every company tries to provide updates faster in their Flagship devices.
Also, Acc to sources Z Series will be the first to get Android O.

There's a thread around here full of people complaining and asking about when it's coming. No one knows.

It's a weird situation for EU. The carrier O2 released 2.48 for German devices...But not for all EU unlocked...
I thought at least EU unlocked should follow O2, but three weeks now..nothing happened. And the support team in France is so incapable that they said they don't know when is the next update.
I'm getting tired of this. If current sw is not battery draining and the long-exposure photo in pro mode RAW is clear enough, I wouldn't not be so anxious to ask for the new update...
HTC EU does a nasty job...That's why I'm switching to Pixel later this year despite HTC U11 is excellent.
