Hello
I want to use a bluetooth keyboard with my LG G4, the same I used happily with my Samsung S4
BUT on the LG I can't find the layout option to switch to Azerty
This option was conveniently in "Langage & Input" section on the S4 (see pic).
Anybody knows where is this "physical keyboard" option on the G4 ???
Thanks !

Hi,
How can i change QWERTY hardware keyboard to AZERTY (not layout in rom),k hardware changing ?
is there a way ? i need this to..
Hi,
After installing a dutch ROM, your machine only recognises "QWERTY".
It is easy to switch to "AZERTY" :
Physical keyboard (=hardware keyboard) : you need to install the cab-file.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5496980&postcount=938
Virtual Keyboard (= keyboard on touchscreen) :
When keyboard deployed, click the arrow next to the tiny keyboard onscreen. It will show you some options. From the dropdown menu, select the second from top item (which should be "Nederlands" in your case) and choose "Frans" instead. Unfortunately, by doing this, you will loose the auto-correction function for the Dutch language.
If somebody has a BETTER solution, I will be glad to read.
Have you tried the rhodium key controller. It is available here on xda. you can change any key to any function.

How do you install the cab file?
My girlfriend has a galaxy pro with azerty keyboard but after I flashed it the keyboard acts like a qwerty...will this cab file work fir me?
While in portrait orientation, I like to type sms messages using the 12-button alpharithmetic portrait layout of the LG keyboard (phone LG GT540). Can anyone add a button in order to change the language just like in other keyboards that I find in the market? I dont want to go to another keyboard because this has the simpliest design, the largest possible buttons and consumes the less possible characters when I type an sms in other alphabets than the latin (eg I use Greek alphabet).
Thanks.
Dears,
I just bought my Galaxy Note II, i tried to add a handwriting recognition language by going to: Settings -> Language and Input -> Samsung Keyboard -> Handwriting -> ...
but unfortunately i could not find the language setting item although i already found it in some of my friends' devices.
Appreciate your support.
Root and flash a rom with particular language you need. I got additional language exactly like this. Check flashing thread.

Please try to go to Settings -> Language and Input -> Samsung Keyboard -> Input languages instead. Here you should be able to download your favorite language packs for both Keyboard/Prediction and handwriting from MyScript.
Hope this helps,

+1 on that..
Isn't there an .apk we can copy to a rooted stock phone? I can add Chinese and Hebrew but there's no handwriting mode for either of them like there is in English, and I'd really like to stay with the stock ROM.
Thanks
I got a Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard (K810), English keyboard layout, which I would like to use with my Android smartphone (LG G2). The pairing of the devices works fine, but I can't get it to display German language characters such as ö, ü, ä etc..
Those characters, however, work fine when I use the keyboard with a Windows-PC, after having changed the keyboard-language-settings in the OS.
Is there a way to do the same thing on Android?
In fact I would need to be able to toggle between the two languages (Eng & German), since I prefer to use the English-keyboard-layout when writing in English and the German one when writing in German. That's easy on Windows, just press the Windows-key together with Space, but how to do on Android?
Any idea how that could be accomplished? If toggle is not possible, then I would prefer to permanently change the keyboard input language on my LG G2 to German.
I had a similar problem. Updated my LG G2 to Android 5.0 but no help. I cannot find "Android keyboard" setting. I did find that on one of my tablets, and that one worked.
I installed External Keyboard Helper Demo (then Pro: 2.49 euros). It helped. Even then I had to select
Settings > Language and Input > Default (sp?) > External Keyboard Helper Pro (or Demo)
It is not enough to select EKH elsewhere, I had to be select EKH as the Default too before äö started to work.
How to get that "Android keyboard" option (not just "LG keyboard") without EKH?

Yes, I also got it working after I installed the full version.
However, I don´t fully understand your question from above. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
External keyboard layout without EKH application

If I have EKH keyboard as the default, I have to select LG keyboard as the default (which takes some time) to be able to use the phone without the external keyboard. Therefore, EKH does not seem to be very useful (it is almost worse than not having an external keyboard).
So I wish that when the external keyboard is not connected, the internal (virtual) keyboard should be usable (without that tedious manual selection). How to achieve that?
I believe that my external keyboard should work automatically and without EKH. Some other devices do find and use correctly my keyboard. They have the option "Android keyboard" besides "LG keyboard". I don't see the "Android keyboard" option anywhere.
Have you been able to pair your Logitech-keyboard with your phone using bluetooth?

If yes, you could simply set the normal keyboard at default and activate the Logitech-keyboard only when you need. This can be done easily by first activating the soft-keyboard by clicking into the text-filed. This will open the soft-keyboard. Then pull down the notification-bar and click on "Select keyboard" in order to change to the Logitech keyboard.
It is correct, it works also without External Keyboard Helper.
So I've been searching everywhere, and I read an article that said the G4 now supports seeing the new ios9 emojis. But can the G4 keyboard type them?? I went and ported the ios9 notoemoji or whatever file, so I can see the emojis, but the keyboard apk's that come with the file that support typing the emojis are either the google keyboard or xperia keyboard. I like the LG keyboard the most out of any other, and I don't want to leave it but I want to be able to type the ios9 emoji and not just see them. I also tried to install the lg g4 keyboard and v10 keyboard hoping that they would have the option to type the emojis, but they didn't. Is there any way to get an LG keyboard that has the ios9 emojis available to type?? Or am I just f##ked out of luck and forced to use the google or xperia keyboard?? Maybe a dev can modify the LG keyboard to be able to type ios9 emojis?? I'd most def pay for it.
