GA2114 Subwoofer control problem - MTCB Android Head Units Q&A

Thanks Malaysk for your hard work. I have the stock eq tuned and the ViPER4Android app. I am still not able to get the subwoofer levels that I had from my Ouku unit. Is there any work around so I can boost the subwoofer level loudness?? I was wondering if this was a hardware issue because installing the rom didnt make much of a difference. Thanks for any help

Anyone experiencing this issue???? Looking for a little help.
Thanks

Ever get this figured out ?

Ok so I also was looking for a way to control the sub power. I found this little guy and ordered it. This should do the trick controlling the subwoofer level. Set the gain in the amp at high, then use the knob up front somewhere to control it. I'll probably mount it under the seat or under the dash somewhere.

This looks to be the easiest, cheapest, fastest solution. I think the Ga2114 is missing some audio hardware from what I've read. It might not be simple to add it internally. This is plug and play.

If you grab something to bring up the voltage, you should grab a crossover. It's like a preamp and EQ built in.

Hi!Did you just put a subwoofer on the RCA line?No amplifier? No nothing? What power is it has?

Please read if you want a speaker dock

i've been searching until i have final come across a peaker dock for the x10 on ebay
here is the link:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Dock-Speaker...UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item230f93d21d
Well, its a speaker dock for sure. But its not strickly for the X10 or X8.
That is a universal dock that is being sold as an X10 Dock. I have seen several of them in discount stores and they have all been labeled different.
Blackberry / HTC / Samsung.
Reason being is that almost all the newer smartphones have a 3.5mm Headphone jack now and all it takes is a slot big enough to accomadate most any phone and you can call it what you want for whatever phone ya like.
PS:
I can't comment on sound quality as I have never seen one hooked up to anything and I sure it will work quite well with your phone. I was just giving a heads up
That looks like a fairly low quality solution.. you'd be better off getting a generic iPod dock - most of them are now compatible with headphone style input now.. here's my home one in use with my sexy new Arc !!! I also have a portable one.. Gear 4 Street party revolve.. for holidaying etc.. works with my phone and my kids ipods..

What I like about it is once you pull your device off, you can flip the top down and it gets flush with the rest of the body. Really slick. The only down side is it won't fit if you have a case on. I tried with my bodyglove case and it wouldn't fit.
You should be able to find them at VZW for $50 but ask for the SGS3 media dock.
I just had a mini orgasam......

Made my own bluetooth speaker setup

I wanted to reduce the cable clutter on my nightstand and replace the computer speakers I'd been using. Thought about buying a bluetooth speaker, but what I wanted was a bit more than I could afford. I also had a decent set of bookshelf speakers wasting away in the garage.
I bought a Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wire...1T5S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333572885&sr=8-1
and a small class T amp to power the speakers: http://www.amazon.com/Lepai-Tripath...6OTI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1333572949&sr=8-1
Works flawlessly and I'm really pleased with the sound.
Hmmm pretty neat idea. After looking over the site for awhile, I might get the Lepai LP-168HA mini-amp which has a built in usb port for a BT usb dongle. That way I don't have to worry about two separate units. (*** I can't verify if it'll work though.***)

What's the pointed of having the amp. Could someone clarify?

That amp looks pretty cool. it looks like you can plug a usb stick with mp3's or cell phoneon it. not sure a bt dongle would work. I went for the cheap one...
The amps is so you can use bookshelf speakers rather than having to use a receiver. you could just use computer speakers, but the set of speakers wasting away in my garage where far better.
The USB port is a very nice option, not sure why it wouldn't work to charge the phone.

Top Set of Speakers Quieter?

I've had my device since the summer and I take very good care of it (never been dropped, handle with care, etc.).
Something I recently noticed is that the majority of the sound when playing from the speakers comes from the bottom set of speakers. It doesn't sound even.
Is it supposed to be like that? Anyone else notice this? Do I need to replace mine?
All stock, not even rooted.

Mine is the same way. I don't think anything is wrong with it, I just think that it's built that way. I too thought something was wrong with it until I figured that it was nothing wrong with it. Lol... As soon as I notice it, is this soon as I forgot about it.

noticed it too.
i believe speakers not divided just be left-right, but by frequencies as well.
Cause its not always bottom one louder
I've noticed one side is louder than the other, only slightly though.
The speakers are pretty small compared to the grill/cover they have on the back shell & are closer to one side, also they are not positioned the same way round as shown by the shot below, perhaps that's why one sounds quieter than the other as surely the cover will be blocking the one on the left more?

Flip for Speaker feature missing

I recently upgraded to M8 from old One S and missing "Flip for Speaker" feature a lot. If somebody doesn't know that was a feature in many HTC phones earlier that would turn on speakerphone during call if you flip your phone screen down on the table. Helps a lot during those wait times etc. There is no such thing on M8 and I'm missing it a lot. I thought first that may be they removed it due to the front speakers, but I tested speaker and microphone face down and see absolutely no issue. I tried a separate "UpSoundDown" app, but it doesn't work very well.
Can somebody tell me is there a ROM that has the feature that I'm looking for? Is there a Kernel that can enable it? Where to look for this and where to request it if feature wasn't implemented?

No any input on this?
If anyone interested the best solution I found so far is Auto Speaker app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hanan.android.ramkol&hl=en
It works pretty good , but still I would much prefer "Flip for Speaker" option, because of lower power consumption during those waiting times and due to the way Auto Speaker switch works.
Does anyone know xposed module with such functionality? Where would be a good place to put a rom/xposed request like this?
