Can you please link me to a thread or explain how I can relock the bootloader? Thanks in advance. (I don't mind if it wipes everything BTW)

The bootloader can't be relocked, unfortunately. Once unlocked, always unlocked (for now).
Hope this helps. Cheers

So I just spent the last couple hours trying to root my phone. Only to realize that when I unlocked the bootloader i requested the wrong unlock.bin file. Instead of selecting the htc m8 file, I selected all other supported devices. I don't know if this is the cause of my problem, but since I can't reboot to bootloader, I feel that it is. Is the solution as simple as relocking the bootloader and then unlocking it with the correct unlock.bin file. Or can i just get the correct file and unlock it again. I don't know if any of it will work since the phone won't go into the bootloader. Thought I would as people that know more than me before I brick my phone.
Getting all the stock files from here and then using your cpu to flash everything you should be fine.

Ok, Thought I would have to be able to reboot to bootloader in order to flash but I will give that a try. Was there supposed to be a link or did you just mean "from here" as in the xda site?

Ok thanks. I'll do some searching and figure out how to do that, then try and flash the stock ruu. I'll report back if I have any issues. Thank you again.

So I've been reading around and come across some conflicting info. So I finally found the fastboot command to lock the bootloader but some have said to flash the stock ruu first while others say after. Can anyone clear this up for me and let me know if it makes a difference?
S-OFF - no need to relock the bootloader, just run the appropriate RUU
S-ON - relock the bootloader and then run the appropriate RUU
cheers.

Thanks for the help. I think I can handle this now. Is it worth it to go S-off? I'm gonna root once I am back to stock

Quick reattack on this. I never actually went away from stock. As I couldn't get into the bootloader I never flashed twrp or anything so do I really need to flash the stock RUU? Just trying to figure out for knowledge purposes. Am I basically flashing the RUU to start over from scratch or is it just a precautionary thing?
Hi, just flashed stock firmware but can i relock my bootloader? thanks

From what I know, no. You can't relock the Lg G4 bootloader.

You can't relock it and also DRM keys are destroyed. Nothing to worry about but they can refuse warranty.
Hi,
Just received my 5x and I made a mistake
After unlocking the bootloader for flashing the latest factory image then installed a twrp & root the device I've relocked the bootloader resulting on a bootloop/brick
I forget to read the small text saying DON'T DO THAT
Can I have any help?
PS:
Actually I can only boot to the bootlaoder and twrp.
I try to flash a custom rom with no success.
I can't unlock the bootloader again. (FAILED (remote: oem unlock is not allowed))
Thanks !

Hi everybody. I have a HTC M9 vzw. I bricked my device before and now running stock rom, s-off, relocked and TWRP installed. I tried to root it by using different version of TWRP and supersu.zip but no su binary installed. Now i dont know how to do since I want to change the relocked status back to unlocked and want to install custom rom as before. If u experienced it before and have a solution pleaaseee help me.

If your bootloader is (re)locked, then I'd start with unlocking it again. I'm not sure that you can unlock the bootloader via HTCdev, but SunShine supports the Verizon M9. Check that out.

Sunshine can only S-OFF the device, not unlock it. I tried it just now.

"The best" depends on your current firmware. Read Q4 for a more detailed explanation.

Thank you very much for the link! I hope it will solve my problem since actually this device was flashed with ICE rom and then I lost the data connection. Thanks again. I will try to use that solution when I have free time to work on.

I'm not totally sure but you may have to downgrade in order to unlock your bootloader. And I don't think there's an official way to relock it, but why would you want to?

Flashing raw firmware can re-lock your bootloader.
OR
Flashing any MM Build with Stock Recovery can also re-lock your bootloader.
