Hi everyone,
I'm desperate, I tried everything and can't root my Wildfire S. I unlock the bootloader, that was easy, but even with the unlocked bootloader I can't install a custom recovery, or root, or install a custom rom... nothing.
When I try to root my device always throws me write-permission problems in the internal memory (read-only internal memory).
When I try to install a custom recovery I get the error "main version is older" and only lets me restart.
When I try to install a custom rom I get the error "No image or wrong image".
I have read all the tutorials on the forum, used these tutorials files but the result is always the same: nothing.
I appreciate any help, advice,... whatever.
Thank you very much for the help and for reading me.
Regards

The problem is that what you've already tried is not obvious to us, only to you. You really not given us much information to go by. Theq86 was trying to help you, so please try to keep a kind tone.

Thanks but the problem persists, I can't root mi device and I and don't know why...
You already tryed this ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1439466
You can stop do anything else until CWM recovery flashed, this is required step.
In my manager when you plug your phone into USB select HTC sync mode I have reports that makes the rooting and cwm process work properly

Hi,
I am been researching for few weeks now. Being just an android user and a beginner level android developer, I am kind of lost in trying to solve my issue. I bought a Xperia Play. It is carrier unlocked. The main issue is the internal memory which keeps getting filled up from time to time, that makes me sacrifice some less used but important apps. I would like to make use of my phone more efficiently and utilise it to its maximum potential. Request someone to help me achieve this by helping me remove these apps.
Thanks
you have to root your phone first and u will find a tutorial im the development section... And after that you can use titanium backup to remove those apps
Hi,
Thanks for the info. But I am kind of lost when I went through the forum. Can you please guide me a specific one? Thanks.

You could unlock your bootloader. You can do this here: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
This enables you to flash custom Kernels and Roms. Although you don't need this if you only want to root your phone, but in my experience custom roms and kernels are a great advantage if you want to get more out of your phone
The rooting thread would be this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1325334

Thanks Bombasti, but the unlock boot loader from sony mobile does not work for phones with IMEI numbers greater than 14 digits. Further, I also tried SuperOneClick but I keep getting the errors in Step 1 stating that the "rm failed for /data/local/tmp/boomsh. No such file directory", Step 2 also returns similar result. Can you help. Thanks.

This is not correct. You just have to enter the 14 first digits. So it should work for your phone unless there are other restrictions (e.g. from your phone provider).
Did you try it with the first 14 digits?
Also did you run SuperOneClick as administrator? I have no idea how SupoerOneClick works, but the error says that it can't remove a directory that doesn't exist. Maybe you can create the dir on your phone to fool the program?
Greetings,
Bombasti
-----------------------EDIT:---------------------
I checked the SuperOneClick thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682/
The R800i isn't listed as compatible device, what doesn't mean it's not compatible since the list is incomplete. But I remember that it didn't work for my phone either ( I tried it some time ago). I solved the problem through flashing an already rooted rom. Later i user Cyanogenmod which rooted from the beginning. But this needs an unlocked bootloader first...

Anyone successfully rooted v1277 with Superoneclick? I know there's a general thread on rooting this phone, but I was curious about this method specifically and if it worked for anybody. There's also UnlockRoot, but it doesn't seem trustworthy.

I couldn't get this to work, it said it couldn't find the drivers. Any tips? I'm a massive noob to all of this.
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum, so forgive me if this issue has already been covered. I've searched the LGOG forum here and couldn't find it mentioned. So here goes:
I'm trying to install Google Wallet and everything I've read about said you have to root your phone. I'm running 4.1.2 by the way, and my software version is LS970ZVB. I've tried at least a dozen different ways to root, all to no avail. Here is the message I get when I run ZV9-JB-Root. It seems to fail right off the bat, giving me the "mount: permission denied (are you root?)" and "Read-only file system" errors.
Any help would be extremely appreciated!

If you just want root, try this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2181103
Make sure the screen doesn't turn off, and you may have to run as administrator/not administrator.
If you want a guide go here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2050582
You may also need to install different drivers. They're in the link above.

hey guys what happen to the 2nd screen if you custom rom it?
Hey guys i achieved temporary root on my K500H with Kingroot pc and already debloated it, but only one time when i restarted the phone again it was ok but not rooted anymore. well something is better than nothing.
get kingroot from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
I recommend u to do it on pc first (turn off antivirus), cause if you do it with the android app itself and u fail maybe u will be not able to root again.
If you do this, root and do all things u want, and before u reboot the phone unroot and uninstall kingroot (from the app).
I wish to say that I am not an expert. I read that oneclickroot can root the LG x K500I phone, I have a K500N and the same software can't root my device. Does anyone know the reason why software doesn't work? or a workaround to make it works?
Thanks in advance

Yea don't confuse root and unlocked bootloader, you can achieve root without having bootloader unlocked, but it will be temporary.
