known issues and fixes:
I'm sure I mentioned this ROM was in beta. Which means a lot of bugs. Here's a list of thing to do to iron a few out yourselves.
ISSUE: GPS/COMPASS not locking on.
FIX:
Go to dialer > type *#0*# > Tap sensors > Scroll till you see magnetic sensor (make sure the compass needle is red) > rotate your phone on the three axis (X,Y,Z) > The needle should turn blue. > FIXED!
ISSUE: (INSERT APP NAME HERE) Force closes
FIX:
Go to app settings and clear data of the said app. Reboot.
ISSUE: Phone over heats.
FIX:
You used the aroma installer then you should have installed an app called "Kernel Tweaker" if not don't worry. Just go to the play store and download it. We will use this app to change the CPU speed on the fly, by doing this we can reduce the speed when CPU power is not needed., and increase it when it is. In my personal testing with the KT747 kernel the best maximum CPU speed is 810Mhz. You might thing its little low, but that speed maintains system stability and reduces battery consumption without lags and stutters. When I do CPU intensive tasks I kick it in 1.5GHz and relax. NOTE: SOME KERNELS DO NOT SUPPORT THAT MINIMUM CPU SPEED AND WILL JUST REVERT TO THE LOWEST SPEED THEY DO SUPPORT. IN THE STOCK KERNELS CASE ITS 1026MHz.
-OPEN KERNEL TWEAKER > GRANT SUPERUSER ACCESS > SCROLL TO THE CPU TAB > TAP ON MAXIMUM FREQUENCY AND SELECT 1026
- You can also change the GPU frequency. Just set it to the desired speed.
-THEN WEN ALL THIS IS DONE SIMPLY SWIPE FROM THE LEFT AND CHECK APPLY SETTINGS ON BOOT.
ISSUE: BATTERY drains fast

# 1 The first step is to reduce the amount of background apps that hog the CPU when its in standby or just idle. By doing this when you exit an app it'll force close it, freeing up precious CPU cycles and saving you some juice.
- GO TO Settings > ABOUT DEVICE > TAP THE BUILD NUMBER REPEATEDLY UNTIL YOU SEE "DEVELOPER OPTIONS ENABLED"
- GO BACK > THEN GO TO DEVELOPER OPTIONS > SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN > CHECK "DO NOT KEEP ACTIVITIES"
#2 The second thing that we're going to do is set the device to use only the radios that we want. This way when you're not in an LTE zone its not constantly searching for the LTE signal and draining your battery.
- GO TO DIALER > Type in "*#2263#" > THEN SELECT THE DESIRED MODE > THEN SELECT "ALL"
NOTE: Some carriers also have an option under settings to change this. To check do the following. If you dont have this option then just do the above it will work.
- GO TO SETTINGS > MORE NETWORKS > MOBILE NETWORKS > NETWORK MODE > THEN SELECT THE DESIRED MODE.

It worked OK for me using TWRP. Flashed last night, let charge overnight, and now testing for a while to see if I have any problems.

Hi I have a old s3 laying around some one gave it to me it was originally on 4.3 with the bootloader can I use this I read somewhere if it was on 4.3 I could not do anything with it its rooted with TWRP

I do not think its is wise to try 4.4.2 rom on 4.3 bootloader. Update the firmware then flash.
What bootloader should I be on in order to flash this rom? I'm currently on NE4 and it doesn't boot.
Edit: Tried with NJ2 also. I can't seem to get it to boot, its stuck on a black screen.

Did you wipe all the partitions listed in the op? Also if you're coming from a lollipop or marshmallow rom it wont boot. Flash a kitkat rom or stock rom then flash this.

I was on S3Rx NE4 and I wiped System, Cache, Data, and Internal Storage
I upgraded to NJ2 bootloader before trying to flash this ROM and it still didn't boot, now I can't use my TWRP backup of my S3Rx because that was a NE4 ROM.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Make sure you're on the latest twrp (2.8.7.0 i believe), and wipe as so:
System, cache, dalvik cache, data. Then format data and type yes when prompted. Once that's done, slide the tab for factory reset. Then, reboot the recovery, and hit do not install when it asks to install super su. Once you're back in the recovery, flash the rom. Hope this helps.

Tried this, still no luck. Did you get a "set_perm: some changes failed" at the end of the AROMA log? I think this has to do with the issue.

I'm no guru, but the last few things i can say about the issues you're having:
Check the md5 of downloaded file to make sure there are no corruptions.
Try installing the rom as close to stock settings as possible at first.
Set_perm sounds like it's having issues with setting permissions. Maybe fixing the permissions from twrp might fix it, but i has no clue wut dat is. Sorry for the lame input, i haven't gotten around to installing this yet because of how freaking solid enewman's debloated, deodex, rooted stock rom is. Some tweaks to the interactive kernel, greenify, and bam. Excellent battery with 4 hrs of screen on and 12+ hrs on battery:laugh:.

Arco68 is the maintainer/developer in charge of maintaining/developing CM for our phones. He isn't in charge of developing everything on CM, for example trebuchet or other feature development. F4k is the most active mod-developer for our phones, but he doesn't work for Cyanogenmod either.
1st rule of flashing custom roms etc.: No wipe - No whine.
2nd rule of flashing custom roms etc.: Always backup before flashing/updating.
3rd rule of flashing custom roms etc.: Google search and xda search are your friends when encountering problems.

Download latest modem in this link (CNK5) and Odin_v3.09.zip.
Restart your phone into Download mode.
Start Odin. Untick checkboxes Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time. All other settings leave unchanged! Do not enable Re-partition!
Click on AP button, browse for and select the downloaded TAR file.
Connect your phone via USB cable and wait until Odin recognizes it. Click on Start button.
When modem installation finishes, a "Success..." message appears in the Message box.
Unplug your phone, press and hold Power button until the phone turns off.
On restart goto immeadiately again in Download mode and repeat steps 5.-6..

Check baseband version in System settings.
- Lost password/connection WiFi -
Go to the Settings menu then to WiFi.
Press the menu button then to Advanced Options.
Disable the option Scanning always available.
One option you might not need is Scanning always available. This allows apps to scan for networks even if Wi-Fi is turned off. Always scanning can affect battery life, and most likely, you won't need this option enabled.
Another option is Wi-Fi frequency band. Depending on what type of router you have, it will support only 2.4 GHz, only 5 GHz, or both. If your router is old, it probably doesn't support 5 GHz.
- How to enable the Root -
Go to the Settings menu then scroll all the way to the bottom and select About Phone.
From here, scroll down to the bottom of the list again, then tap the Build Number entry 7 times in rapid succession.
Back to the previous menu and go to the Developer Options and tap on the Root Access (select Apps Only or Apps and ADB).
Optional : you can install SuperSu by Chainfire if you want an alternative root (default CM12).
- Freeze when you try to unlock sim card -
Restore your backup ROM.
Uncheck everything in "reapply on boot" at device control app or other kernel app control.
Then flash the new kernel and set yours settings manually.

Hi,
It's normal due to the hardlimit lock you need to flash the attached file for 1,94GHz for example !
PS: you can edit the 90hardlimit file inside the zip if you want less or more.

It should i never used safestrap so it should it was confirmed working by someone, but intall like if your installing a new rom
Requires a custom 5.1 kernel and is based on cyanogenmod.
Will not work on SafeStrap. Only on loki exploited or unlocked bootloaders.
If someone did manage to I would love to know how so I can give it a try

Not sure if this happened to anyone else but I got a message on first boot saying that software not authorized by AT&T was detected. It said it was the kernel. I wiped cache and Dalvik and flashed Ktoonz's kernel, wipe cache and Dalvik again, however, when I tried to fix permissions as per his thread's instructions, it failed. It finally finished booting but now it's constantly throwing messages saying Nfc service and System UI has stopped.

No the META-INF will install as normal
It's been previously stated that this ROM doesn't work for Safestrap since it's based on Cyanogenmod, but the newest release on 6/7/15 has SGH-1337 in the title. I'm assuming this is only for MDL base with Loki?
Flashing tools are cwm touch or twrp. So yep. Sad times.

Custom Recovery Installed (TWRP, CWM)
Download the ROM from the links provided and copy them to your phone's SD Card
Boot into CWM/TWRP and do a factory reset by wiping Data, Cache and Dalvik Cache
Then install the ROM
Reboot and configure your phone
Boot into CWM/TWRP and install the patch, you can make a factory reset if you want.

Why I can't flash the OTA updates, or the rom is unusable after OTA update?
If you try to flash the OTA From Update App by MIUI, it may fail because i change some file in the system folder. You can maybe do the update but the rom may be unstable or my addition to the rom is lost. I include an App for my own OTA update package (OTA Update) in the latest build - or - You can flash the new version available in this post without any wipe until i say you need to do it.
How's the performance and battery life on this ROM?
No lags in the UI and battery life is very good.
Should i switch to 3G Network, i prefer old and slow connection for my use.
By default i enable LTE all the time (as soon you can have it near you), if you prefer to have a 3G data connection, just go to settings, network and change prefered network to 3G

With WSM Tools v2.3.5 include, just download some module. Instructions how to use WSM Tools see here.
I can't seem to find a setting to let me download large files over 3G/4G.
Open the Downloads app and go to Settings. Set the "Data usage" to unlimited.
I have just follow the instruction for installing, and i'm only getting "H" for my signal.
Go to dial app and type *#*#4643#*#*, go to phone information and select "LTE, GSM/WCDMA", you should be in 4G (if you provider have it) and normally it should stay after reboot in 4G

Because the new version is a "all in one" it will be better if you do a full wipe. So backup your data first is advise.

Like the one by Ry09iu (this rom is based on it) it's not compatible with the MT7-L09 (single sim), i've got the same "com.android.phone" Force Close problem every 3 secondes. and after that the phone have network and lose it every 2 seconds in endless loop.
Inusable for now on MT7-L09.
I revert back to my Backup :d

Clean Installation

2. Download the appropriate GApps following the links in the second post.
3. Download latest version of SuperSU.
4. Back up any and all important data.
5. WIPE DALVIK/CACHE/DATA/FACTORY RESET.
6. WIPE SYSTEM.
7. Flash the ROM in recovery.
7.1. DO NOT FIX PERMISSIONS AFTER FLASHING, doing so will cause a bootloop.
8. Flash the GApps.
9. Flash the SuperSU. If you don't, you'll get bootloop.
10. WIPE DALVIK/CACHE (for good measure).
11. Reboot Device.

To activate 'Developer Options' category in Settings you need to tap 7 times on 'Build number' located into Settings -> About Phone.
What can i do to fix VOIP audio calls?
There's not a real fix yet, so i found this useful workaround that could help you.
If you need to make a VOIP call:
1) Play something using stock music player (also third-party music players SHOULD be fine)
2) Do not pause audio playback
3) Make a call using your preferred VOIP app.
Or you can just use a Wired Headphone/Headset | BT Headphone/Headset.
This workaround should work also for incoming VOIP calls.
How can i solve problems with Hebrew language?
Go to "Developer Options" in Settings and check "Force RTL layout direction".
What can i do to reduce the "echo effect" while in-call?
Try to reduce in-call earpiece volume (if possible). Shouldn't be required on latest builds.
I'm having problems with battery life, what can i do?
1) Use "Greenify" to hibernate all apps with a "little cloud + 'Gcm' word inside" on the right of each app's name. Donation version is recommended because it allows deeper hibernation of apps
2) Disable "Location" or set it to mode "Battery Saving" (Settings -> Location)
3) Make sure that your 2G/3G mobile network signal level isn't always low or unstable
4) Deny "Wake Up" and "Keep Awake" permissions to Google and third-party apps. (Settings -> Privacy -> Privacy Guard -> Press menu button and check "Show built-in apps" -> Press menu button again and go to Advanced -> Horizontal Scroll to Device)
5) Disable "Sync" or sync only useful stuff like Contacts
6) Disable "Auto-rotate screen" (Settings -> Display & lights -> Rotation)
7) Use one of the latest Modem/Baseband listed on first post.
8) Disable Ambient Display
9) Install Xposed Framework and configure Amplify
If this isn't enough then replace your battery and/or reduce your phone usage. :silly:
Why is my phone over-heating while playing heavy-games or running heavy-apps?
Use a bit your brain to explain why. High CPU and GPU usage = high heat production. Your phone will automatically throttle CPU when needed so don't worry, it is safe and normal.
Can I use another kernel instead of the one included in the zip?
No. Only use the included kernel for 100% compatibility, bug reports with non-standard kernel will be ignored.
Can i disable S-View cover features (lock/unlock)?

What have you done before you reboot the device? And Titanium backup working finely here after flash latest SuperSU.
Did you mean Google play services has stopped message? Just ignore the message. GApps just working as it should.

I tried restore apps with titanium, it is not work. After that I disable separate mount namespace in supersu settings and reboot device.

I suggest you to reinstall the ROM. Try this steps:
1. Boot to recovery, Wipe System, Data, Dalvik & Cache.
2. Flash the ROM, then GApps.
3. Flash SuperSU v2.49.
4. Reboot the device.
It should fix your issues.

Sorry for that. The battery was drained faster than I could bare, so it stayed only for couple hours. Any suggestion how to stop the drain? I'll be happy to retry it, coz all functions worked fine with sufficient features which also worked flawlessly.

Look at 2nd post. There are tips that you can follow to reduce battery drain. And you can also use Synapse to underclock the CPU/GPU and disable 'l2_hsic' wakelock and Arch mode that would improve battery life. Anyway, I myself doesn't have huge battery drain. I only use Greenify with Xposed help.

I didn't flash GApps, so I don't think I need Xposed and Greenify/Amplify, other steps on the Q&A were always my SOP after installing any ROM.. So, I'll try your l2_hsic and Arch mode tricks. Other than battery drain the ROM was an excellent work.:good:

Please update to N910PVPU5DQI5 firmware which can be downloaded from here by using Samsung Odin
I can not guarantee that you will not have problem if you are on another firmware/modem/bootloader
OK THE DISCLAIMER PART:

Please make a backup, make sure you have a computer handy with odin
Please take sometime to read all documents before proceeding, you've been warned.
Installation Steps:
1.) Download desired Rom Version from below download link(s)
2.) Place Rom preferably on external SD card
3.) Reboot device into recovery either using Busybox or from device powered off method. (instructions in post#3)
4.) Once in recovery its HIGHLY recommended to install on a clean device. Select Wipe, Then advanced,
put check marks next to System, Dalvik-Cache, Data, Cache
5.) Recommended but NOT necessary: Once wipe is completed, back up one step and choose FORMAT DATA, it will require you to type YES to complete.
6.) When completed return back to Main TWRP screen, Click Mount and make sure System and Data are mounted.
7.) Choose Install then Navigate to where you placed Rom ( You made need to choose SD as the storage location if you put on SD )
9.) Install Rom and wait for it to complete. Once done, wipe Dalvik-Cache/Cache then select reboot and WAIT.
10) Most importantly ENJOY!

Made a few tweets to the builds and they are running much smoother. I'm going to have an update to VB1/VB2 and hopefully a new VB3 soon. I noticed that there were a few problems and fc from that last builds. I did have some data issues as well so you are not alone. Hope you all are enjoying the builds. I'm assuming that no news is good news and that things are running good.

Should not have any F/C's or errors.
All builds now have Magisk , Itson and Knox has been removed! I'm currently working on a VB3 build that will be debloated with Viper4Arise, additional fonts and LG sounds.

So i flashed this ROM, but im not seeing Magisk. From the build thread, did it mean it was removed? The way I read it was that only Knox was removed

Knox and itson are removed. Magisk is in the build and will be flashed along with the ROM. You should see Magisk flash after the ROM flashes. Which version are you on? Did you check MD5?
I tried to flash this rom, followed directions. I'm definitely on q15 (ota) and it's a Sprint note 4. Rooted, installed TWRP and it was stuck on this screen for hours: Setting permissions... I thought it would finish by morning but no any help? The only thing I can think of is that it's not a compatible TWRP version. I made the mistake of not backing up since I just got the phone. So I'm stuck here. Got any suggestions?

Make sure your on TWRP 3.1.1. Did you check your MD5? I would try and re-download/verify MD5 and flash again. I test all my builds before posting. I bet you won't forget to backup before flashing again? it shouldn't take more that 5 to 10 to flash the zip and no more than 20 minutes to load
