Hello XDA,
As most people know the mtk6753 support 5ghz. But the hardware in the p8000 isn't there. But if i am right our phone is just missing an antenna. Is there a way to add this antenna with a piece of metal?
jiayu s3 antenna
Hello guys,
After some research i found out that maby it is possible to replace or wifi antenna cable with the jiayu s3 antenna cable.
Is there anyone out here who can already tell me that this will not work? http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...-mast/1016211_1949602463.html?storeId=1016211

Hi,
When tearing down the phone to replace the front bezel, I have managed to disconnect the GPS antenna from its connector.
As the connector and cable are both very small, i'm unsure if I can repair it. I can also find no information online regarding the type of cable, and connector. it looks like a very small coaxial cable, complete with shielding.
I also looked online for a replacement GPS module for the phone, but cannot find any information as to what GPS module and antenna is in the phone, or source replacement parts.
i was wondering if anyone had experienced the same problems? If anyone can offer tips / advice on :
* how to either repair the antenna
* any technical information for the gps antenna / module part numbers manufacturers etc
* any resources that stock this gps module and antenna.
if anyone happens to have spare parts lying around, I am more than happy to pay for the GPS module / antenna if you can part with it
Thanks for your help
Allan
This port has mystified my since day one. It resembles a coax port used for WiFi antennas, but I can't find anything about what it does.
Edit: Samsung was no help, they told me it WAS an antenna. -_-
This type of port is used to CONNECT* an antenna, I just need to know what kind (WiFi or 3/4G) and what specific connector it uses.
Gsm antenna, don't f*ck around with it.
Beamed from my Maguro.

good day.
When taking apart my Nexus 7 (2013) LTE tablet apart, I accidentally yanked on, what seems to be, the WiFi antenna, which pulled the wire out from the metal bracket. I've been trying to find a replacement but I cannot find it anywhere online. Ive tried WiFi Antenna replacements from Nexus 5 (got them from eBay), but the wire is too short, and it doesn't seem to latch on. I've attached some photos.
Has anyone had any luck on finding WiFi antenna replacements from which I could order from?
Found this website talking about the different types of coaxial wifi antennas:

I received the cable today. Unfortunately it doesnt fit/match. There are two similar cables in tablet, so I tried transferring the working cable to the location that had the broken cable. This fixed my Wifi. I haven't seen anything go wrong by doing this. I guess that's enough for me.
Hi all, So my phone (wife's phone ) got water damage, after battery replacement things start working except the wifi and bluetooth I think it might be the board or the cables got damaged but could not find any information where the antenna for wifi and bluetooth are and which board actually has the chip. I will try to replace the board but don't even know which one to order. Does anybody know?
PS none of the disassembly guides or videos I saw mentions the location of these.
No one has any idea where the wifi blutooth on this device?
Hey guys I want to use an external antenna on my j7 to boost signal in areas I otherwise would not get signal. I've seen external patch lead antennas for older Samsung Galaxy phones do you think that will work with my device? I don't mind drilling my case and battery door I just want better more reliable service.
