Latest Album Movies Walkman app from Xperia Z1/Ultra
Works perfectly fine on my Xperia ZL and brings lot of improvements
ALBUM 5.2.A.1.20 (SemcAlbum) https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hAoiy5gSGVYVpLcWE2c0FMQTQ/edit
(Can be installed like a normal apk OR via ROOT replacing SemcAlbum.apk in /system/app)
Also works well on Galaxy Note 4.1.2

Although Album Movies & Walkman can be installed as a normal apk but I would recommend putting them in system if you have root
NEED
ROOT
RootExplorer or ES File Explorer or a similar app
HOW TO
Delete SemcAlbum.odex SemcMusic.odex SemcVideo.odex from /system/app if you have odexed system
Replace the new apks with previous ones
Set permission to -rw-r-r-
Reboot Device
DONE!!

Yes they were provided as updates on .244 fw
But dont know why SONY didnt provide these in .2.67 fw
The next scheduled update might take time Android 4.3 or 4.4 if we are lucky
Till then enjoy these apps

err... clear data?

updated album to the latest version through update center but facing an issue with the new version. Whenever I open faces in my album or try to edit name tag when opening a pic in pictures, album app crashes. Anyone else facing this issue? BTW I'm on rooted and deodexed stock. 67 firmware.

Guys,the album works in my galaxy note running 4.1.2....didn't expect this to happen...

[MOD] Xperia Z1 Walkman Player (xLOUD Fixed)

So i have got the Walkman and Sound Enhancement, from the Xperia L System Dump these are the same ones as in the Honami.
1. Put all files into /System/App with a file explorer (i used root explorer).
2. Set permissions for all files to rw-r-r--.
3. Done and Enjoy

To correct the DPI of the Sound Enhancements:
*If you already have Xposed Framework and App settings go to Step 6.
1. Download Xposed Framework and Xposed App settings
2. Install Xposed Framework and open the app, then select to "Framework", then "Install/Update"
3.Reboot
4.Install the Xposed App settings
5.Go to the "Xposed Framework" app then go on "Modules" and tick the box.
6.Go to App Settings and type "Sound Enhancements" into the search box.
7.Tap the slider on the top then change the DPI to 210, then press the save icon in the top corner.
8.Done Enjoy.

it wasn't getting installed. It worked on my rooted tab 2 without any issues. I think unrooted device is the actual culprit.

As mentioned in the thread... The .apk file will work for both rooted as well as non rooted devices.
Rest zip can be flashed via custom recovery (twrp/cwm) for rooted devices

Why does the apk needs permission to read the phone's identity/accounts/sms/email attachments? Sounds fishy

No working with sound attachment. That's running even after closing of walkman. Had to disable it.

i mean walkman Experience in full libs and driver in 5.0 stock but main prob is /system partition free space is 20 mb

Sony has updated walkman to music. Maybe many people do not like it, including me
To change back to a walkman might be able to change the name and icon apk. but it is a hassle every time there is a renewal, you must continue to change.
Here I am trying to use the overlay. You can continue to use it without renewal disturbed.
Requirement:
- Root Access
- Root File Manager (ex. Root Explorer)
Installation:
- Download SemcMusic-to-Walkman-Overlay-XX.apk (select one according to your android version ).
- Copy to /system/vendor/overlay/(here)
- set permission to rw-r--r--
- reboot
- enjoy
Download:
- Lollipop
- Kitkat
- JB 4.2
Bug:

Note(important):
If you find another SemcMusic Overlay, please moved. You can merge or delete it.
