hi all
new to forums but have a little knowledge on android systems but by no means an expert normal use these to learn more but bought this tablet made under iropro brand generic seems to have ok spec but has 32gb storage half is sd then the other half is split in to a 2gb system data storage and 9.9 gb internal storage but apps are automatically stored to the 2gb section which fills rapidly and even with link2sd does not help a great deal and is a pain in back side. Basically so far ive found a program pheonixsuit to do the flashing process and got a working img for the os. i found a program called dragonface to open the img which then thru explorer and note++ i am able to edit the partition info but i can only seem to be able to alter the user data partition from 2 gb downwards not up because soon as i up the partition once it is saved then re flashed to tablet it is still at 2gb and not at the number i set it at. This is getting very frustrating been at it for hours now any help would be great thanks
For some reason wont let me add screen shots or pictures this is the tablet

Hi everyone,
I was at a store today, looking at a Galaxy tab 10" running android 4.2.2.
What I noticed when I checked settings/storage, was that it had no more internal Sdcard0 but a full 16gb partition running the Android system and about 5-6Gb free space for additional programs to install??
So here is my guestion: is this possible on the Note N5110?
What I want to do (if possible) is to "delete" the "stock" SdCard0 and expand the internal 16gb internal mem to one partition.
Then, (if i'm correct) when an SDcard of 64Gb (or less) is inserted, it will be recognized as SdCard0 instead of ExtSdcard.
I have rooted my N5110 and changed the 64Gb to be Sdcard0 and the 10gb as ExtSDcard, but that's a bit buggy sometimes.
It swaps the SDcard0/ExtSDCard mem around from time to time depending on which program you start (very annoying).
Has anyone done this? Did I miss a thread in XDA?
I tried searching, but couldn't find if this is possible or not.
Hope anyone want to answer my question
thanks!!
Wow, nobody?
I'm sure you can "trick" the android os to use the full internal rom instead of creating partitions right?
if there is a thread I missed, please let me know.

There is a script that allows you to flip the sd for the internal, which then allows apps to be installed to the sd card. Dont know if this is the kind of solution you are looking for. ?...Check link below, its for the note 2 so any and all damages done are on your head....

Yes, i've seen that script, used it, it works fine.
but, what I mean is, is there a way to combine the internal (stock) memory on the device.
Here is how I see it:
the device has 16gb internal memory in total.
however, 6gb has been partitioned for the android OS.
10gb is your internal storage to use. (that's 6gb os partition and 10gb external partition = 16gb
so my question again, can I combine those tow to 1 partition = 16gb OS partition and use the external SD card I bought as sdcard0.
one more time;
current setup:
6gb OS
10gb = sdcard0
64gb = ExtSdCard
what I want =
16gb OS
64gb sdcard0
just simple math. but maybe not possible?
And thanks for your reply mygraine :good:
Hi guys, this is my last attempt to figure out this problem that is driving me crazy.
Ive got this Kingelon G9000 with KK on board, and the seller says its fake 16gb. I can get the EBR modified as i wish using EBRTweak, but while the internal memory can be resized as the tweak (say, 4,90gb) the internal phone memory results always 9gb, or 11gb if i choose a smaller EBR size.
So far i know that the preloader file contains the partition table and size, but flashing a different preloader from the same phone with the same os, i got always that fake space in internal phone memory. The REAL size is 8gb.
Is there anything i can see/test/try? I have a decent knowledge of adb and linux related commands, but everything i tried didnt lead me to success.
Any help is appreciated, im willing to donate to the ones who can sort this issue. I can provide files if needed.
Thanks alot.
Hello, first let me thank you for any help you can provide.
I have a Pumpkin X 9.6" 32GB [OCTA CORE] Android 4.4 Tablet
MTK Droid Tools lists it as the following.
Hardware: MT6582 (MT6595 is Fake!)
Model: T809C
Build Number: T809C_vEB014D_20150104
Android: 4.4.2
It's Storage is divided between Internal Storage 1.99GB and Phone Storage 27.47GB. I run out of space on the Internal storage all the time, it looks like that is where it store almost all App Data. I've moved every App to phone storage and it's not enough. I would like to repartition to 20GB Internal Storage and 10GB Phone Storage. It also has an SD expansion for up to 32GB, I tried Link2SD Plus and have not been able to make that work at all, always package failure when going to link the files to SD. The 32GB SD Card will hold any media that I would like to keep instead of having it on the tablet itself.
I have rooted with Kingo Root and it has worked fine for most things. I ran MTK Droid Tools with ADBD Insecure and ran a Backup and a NVRAM Backup. I also ran TWRP 2.8.2.0 and have that installed.
I usually muddle through things like this on my own, but since it is a knock off tablet and has no support website I figured it would be best to consult some experts so I do not brick the tablet into unusability.
I looked at HK ROM Editor and it was of no use. I have also tried to look at the files with ERBTweak, but since my ERB1 file is 1kb I don't think the program will deal with it.
If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. Any precautionary steps I missed? Or programs to try?
Hi all,
I have a question regarding a phone i own. I flashed cm13 on it and i see it shows only 11.xx GB. Is this normal ? The phone is 16gb
Thanks
I own a 32 gb model and storage wise i think i only have 24 available so much is reserved for system partition plus other partitions efs aboot ect so id about say its normal
I know but on my wifes Galaxy s5 it shows her internal space is 16gb and if i remember correctly my phone showed that as well on the stock lg firmware. See video what i mean. CM13 shows something else (picture first post)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&persist_app=1&v=_VzCganiKo8
Mine does that after a while what I usually to do is if there is nothing you need on internal storage is to boot into twrp wipe internal storage ,making sure you have your rom on ext card (don't want to wipe that do we) then flash my rom.
This leaves me from a clean install with about 8 or 9 gb left to use on internal storage.I think what happens over time is a lot of useless files tend to build up on internal card and this is the reason you don't have much space left and also the operating system takes up quite a bit as well.
just buy a 64gb micro sdcard... or even a 32gb if you don't need much more, they are really cheap.
part of the missing space is the partition information space and the space used by the system/recovery/cache etc. on android 6.0 you can format it as internal.
How can i format that space ? I am running CM13 that uses Android 6.0.1
Here another screenshot from the recovery, why does the recovery not say i have 16GB ???? i don't really understand why it's not listed.
Because it shows available storage not total
Oke thanks for the answer.

I just got my device today and wanted to check the storage of my device in de My Files app.
And saw the amazing 1TB of storage and 99GB of used storage which was strange since I only got the device today and am pretty sure their system ROM doesn't use 80GB of internal storage.
I then download ES Filemanager to see what was using all the storage and then saw that I was in fact only using 13GB of internal storage and that actual total of usable storage only amounts to 937GB.
I don't really mind that it isn't really 1024GB of usable storage. But that they lie to us by showing 99GB of used storage in the My Files app to reach the total of 1TB usable space. That just doesn't sit too well to me.
What do you think about this?
1tb flash storage are not 1024gb but 937gb. i know that because i use byself on my pc nvme drive and i have a samsung 970 evo 1tb mounted that have exactly 937gb. the system of the s10+ use only 5gb and not 13. what you need to know is how linux works. the phone have more as 1 partition . system partition is allmost 6gb, vendor partition other 1.15gb, cache when i saw right on my s10+ 900mb, swap memory 2.5gb etc etc. so when you remove all partition from the 937gb is normal that you have left 901gb. you can buy a 1tb ssd for the pc and you see the same. you haven then 931 or 937gb (differs from brand to brand). in fact the chip have 1tb because it have 1000202039296 byte
^this! Kudos
If you use all 1TB of storage I'll buy you a 256gb SD card to make up for the loss. If you have ever used any phone, computer, or device with any kind of storage you would know this is how storage works.

Not really talking about the partitions tho, I'm wondering towards why they show 99GB in use...
Did anyone read till the end, yes I know 1TB doesn't always equal 1024GB and yes I know partitions do exists and that system most of the time takes around 4GB. And no I honestly don't care about the lost space of not having exactly 1024GB. I was wondering towards why they show 99GB of storage in use while only 13GB really is used
I think that nobody really read the post so to clarify. He isn't complaining about him not getting the full 1TB storage, he is wondering why the software from samsung says it is 99GB used and the software from ES Filemanager says it's 13GB.
It's probably that the software from samsung the flash storage without partitions shows, so it doesn't take in consideration that the flash storage might have multiple partitions. While ES Filemanager shows that you have 13GB used in the partition your files and apps get stored in.
So technically samsung isn't "Lying" to us. They are just showing the intire flash storage.

That's how all storage works. You never have the true amount. There is space reserved for the operating system and apps.

Buy why so much storage
I would assume they have it "hardcoded" to show "Used Space" = ( 1TB - "Available Space") ? Other thing I am not sure but on Linux (pretty sure Android uses ext4) you have by default 5% used for root filesystem so that takes away from your storage. Anyone to correct me maybe ?

Oh thank you someone who doesn't act toxic, thank you. And yes the probably hardcode and that was the point I was making. A lot of people just started raging as if I'm not happy with the 1TB usage...
What a reach
